• Naruto grimaced, "Sakura! C'mon, we're gonna be late!" They were 30 minutes late already. Sakura finally walked out of her house, frowning at Naruto. She adjusted the pink bakini, and lead the way out of the village.
"Jeez. What were you doing that whole time?" Naruto asked with amazment. Sakura just shook her head.
"You're too much of an idiot to understand." she said coolly. They had walked up to the Konoha village entrance. The guards happily greeted Naruto and Sakura as they passed. Once they were out of Konoha, they made their way to the west.
It didn't take long to get there, but once they felt the sand under their feet, they saw that everyone was there already.
"BEACH PARTY!" Naruto yelled happily, holding his beach ball over his head. He ran over to the ocean's edge, throwing the huge ball to Kiba, who was in the water with Akamaru.
"Naruto!" he called, catching the ball, "You finally made it!" Naruto ran and dove into the water.
"Sakura! Over here!" yelled Ino, who was sitting under an umbrella with Hinata and TenTen. Sakura smiled and joined the group of girls.
"Naruto, Kiba! Watch out!" cried Rock Lee, jumping into the water, splashing them. Shikamaru layed on a beach towel, soaking up the sun. Lee's splash reached him, and he sat up with a start.
"Watch where you splash!" he yelled at Lee. Naruto and Kiba laughed. Shino wasn't sitting far away from Shikamaru. He was laying as well, his glasses on. Choji ran into the water with Naruto, Kiba, and Lee.
They started bouncing the ball to eachother, Akamaru jumping up out of the water to get it. Ino was giggling to herself.
"What is it, Ino?" TenTen asked. Ino just smiled at her. She slightly nodded at Hinata, and TenTen and Sakura looked at her. She was intently watching the beachball game. Watching Naruto, mostly.
"Hey Hinata! Isn't Naruto cute?" Ino asked her. She snapped out of her trance and looked at the other girls. She was blushing a tomato red.
TenTen was laughing all of a sudden. "Look at Neji!" she pointed. He was standing in the water, soaking wet, the ball in his hands. He furiously threw it at Naruto, hitting him in the forehead. The guys laughed, Lee getting the ball.
"Hey!" Kiba started suddenly, "Let's get the girls to play with us!" The guys agreed, sloshing out of the water and toward the girls. The girls looked up at them.
"You guys should play with us." Choji said. The girls just looked at them, but TenTen got up to play, followed by Sakura and then Ino. Hinata was the only one who didn't get up.
The guys started to play with the girls, but Naruto walked over to Hinata. "Hey Hinata! Come play with us!" he laughed.
Hinata just blushed. "I don't think I should." she said quietly. Naruto grabbed her hand and pulled her up.
"It'll be fun! C'mon Hinata!" he urged, and she gave in. They all started to bounce the ball up in the air. Shikamaru couldn't stand it, so he got up to play too. Neji had somehow got mixed in as well. Kiba noticed Shino wasn't there, when he looked around, Shino was sitting under the umbrella where the girls had last been.
"Shino! Come join us!" Kiba called, but Shino shook his head, took his towel, got up and left.
    Kiba shrugged.
Soon, Shikamaru and Choji were leaving, too. They were followed by Neji and TenTen. Kiba and Akamaru were about to leave, when Ino caught up with them and left as well.
It was near sunset, and Sakura was tired. "I'm going." she told Naruto. Lee had popped up behind her.
"I'll go with you!" he said happily. Sakura went with him, not really wanting to. Hinata was getting her towel to leave. Naruto decided to wait for her. She was surprised when she saw him waiting.
"I'll walk you home." Naruto said, grinning widely. Hinata blushed, "Ok. If you want." On the way home, Naruto had spoken up during the long silence.
"Today was fun, wasn't it Hinata?!" he said excitedly. Hinata smiled.
"I believe it was a nice Beach Party." she agreed.
