Lust, who loves to ache and throb,
With weak knees and bolted knob,
Among thine foliage lies divine
Beneath thy sins hide tithes of wine,
To thee a lingering lioness
Hath been - wild seductress of the cats -
Left thee out for worse, suppressed -
To drain thee down to bed with rats
While in thine bed I did cry,
A babe - with tears left out to dry.
From ruby, emerald shiny things
So tempting to grasp, so easy to please
With so much deceit lie monstrosities,
I have found it to fool most of thy being
Through searching for love that was not thine to seize.
And when the time should ever arise
For love to prevail, 'tid be a surprise -
Such nonsense to thee at such a young age
Too hard to believe - but with all of the lies!
Thy heart a lioness entrapped in a cage
Unless 'tis lust you wish from thy guise.

- It is very reminicent of Poe. Good job I enjoyed it greatly.

- This one doesn't quite live up to the height of the other, but it's beautiful in it's own light. I'd love to hear some more. Again, I have no way to make this poetry any better. smile
