Is there such a thing as a new heart?
A truly new heart?
Nope.
Not at all.
Been through the water,
and been clensed.
Really?
Or is it a lie?
Don't wear old shoes,
on brand new feet.
Brand new?
Spiritually new?
Been through the water=
Heaven?
Does it?
Who knows.
God and Jesus do.
But do they,
really?
Are they real?
Who knows.
No one on Earth.
Prayers do nothing.
I've tried.
None of my prayers have been answered.
Maybe someday they will be.
But I highly,
highly doubt it.

- Good god why is every poem I've read on this site some angsty "oh gosh i'm so depressed" crap? This poem (if you can call it that) Honestly, it does nothing for me.
