I'd like to lie out in the sun
And forget all my trouble
Why not?

I've done enough,
to deserve repreive
I've been loyal
I've acted a slave

Today is for me
Forget about you
I don't need anything
that I can't give myself

So what if there's no pool
cool and refreshing in this heat
A bucket of water
Over my head
Does the same thing
