My home is a land where the forests do not grow,
a land filled with sand forsaken by the snow.
The mountains encircle with their brown and purple hues,
the azure sky defies clouds to pay their dues.
The sweltering heat makes the air twist and dance.
The blustery desert wind makes the palm leaves prance.
The rugged valley landscape exspands to the eye.
Looking up from the mountaintops a better view is only the sky.
When dusk comes, the sky is illuminescent and bright,
turning pink and purple with glee as it turns over to night.
A burning white moon, whose presence engulfs the sky,
an endless amount of stars that pass the people by.
An awakening as the sun caresses the morning sky.
A vibrant aura fills the air as the night begins to die.
The overwhelming picture shakes the soul.
This is the valley's esense and it's toll.
