Larry the Evil Announcer
While investigating a recent increase in Heartless activity by visiting the residents of Radiant Garden to exchange information, Crystal ended up having to lend one of her Keyblades to Shiro so he could defend himself against the hordes of Heartless that flooded the streets while the security system was temporarily disabled.
After spending a night at Tifa's new tavern in town, Shiro snuck out early the next morning and was confronted by Maleficent who immediately sensed the intense darkness that filled his heart and thought he might make a useful henchman. When he stubbornly refused, Maleficent summoned a fresh horde of Heartless indicating that cooperating with her would have been a safer option. As Shiro fought off the Heartless they eventually merged to form a powerful Darkside that would eventually transform into a terrifying Dark Follower before Crystal woke up back at the tavern to find Shiro missing with a sudden surge of darkness filling the air.
She made it to help him in time to avoid serious physical injuries, but the darkness continued to trigger painful convulsions around Shiro's heart and, not having any idea what was wrong or how to help him, they set out to consult with Cid to see if maybe he could run a thorough analysis. Along the way, Shiro picked up a friendly silver-white chocobo companion which he decided to call Shiroi Senko.
Fighting off Heartless on their way to meet up with Cid, Shiro was eventually rejected by Crystal's Keyblade and discovered the potential to draw out his own. Much to everyone's surprise, there were two.
When Shiro was finally analyzed, there were what appeared to be microscopic Heartless running around in his bloodstream trying to get at his heart from the inside. It was then that Crystal recalled something she had heard recently about the origin of Ansem and Xemnas, the Heartless and Nobody of a man named Xehanort. After suggesting to Shiro that perhaps he was being targeted for a similar reason, Shiro chose to stubbornly resist his fate by channeling the light and darkness energies coursing through his body into a globe of chaos energy which he plunged directly into his chest cavity to eradicate the microscopic Heartless. He drew upon his two Keyblades to intensify his chaotic power, eventually stripping them both of their key chains to reveal a pure white and a pure black Keyblade. When the violent reaction was complete and Shiro was finally purged of Heartless, a third pure gray Keyblade appeared before him.
Not sure what else to do for the moment except drag Shiro back to the tavern to get some rest, Crystal escorted Shiro back into town while he was carried along by his recently befriended chocobo.
But what could be the significance of the third Keyblade?

Crystal: Now you're just letting him do this on purpose! emotion_bigvein
