Prologue

In the Land of Horle, the kingdom of Alearnia started under an ideal dream with a charismatic King. Despite the King's noble nature, and generosity towards his people his kingdom was constantly under assault from neighboring kingdoms. Alearnia was settled upon very fertile and prosperous land, which made the greedy kingdoms surrounding it assault it in an attempt to gain the lands. In his disparity the great King pleaded to the gods, asking for them to bestow upon him something with which he could protect his people, and the gods answered him. The next morning his soldiers awoke with eyes of color in what had previously been a land of only brown eyes. The King and the soldiers quickly discovered that these new eyes colors were based on the color spectrum, and with each color came a different power. Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue. With these colors the people were able to draw magic from the color through a process called drafting. The King trained his soldiers for months, and quickly they were able to dispel any and all threats to his kingdom, bringing in a great age of prosperity. The King of Alearnia from this day forth was named the Color King.

For centuries the Color Kings were generous and loving towards their people, and they left their neighbors in peace from onslaught, rely only upon their natural resources to supply their country. However one of the Color Kings had two male children, the first Color King to do so, and the younger child felt as though he had been cheated out of his right to the throne. This younger brother, named Ganriel, felt as though he had been cheated from the throne. When Ganriel turned eighteen he slaughtered his father, mother, and brother to seize the throne for himself. At first the people rebelled, so Ganriel turned the army of color against them. Many of the common people were without drafting ability, and while many in the army opposed the Color King's actions they obeyed. The Rebellion was quelled, but unrest settled among the country that had previously only known generous Color Kings.

After months of talk Ganriel became paranoid, and in an attempt to stop all threats to his rule he issued a law that anyone who was not within the Color Army and was found with a weapon would be jailed, and the weapon confiscated. He demanded that all people present their weapons within a week or else risk lifetime in the dungeon. Once again the people rose against them, this time praying the the gods for assistance, and once more the gods answered their prayers. The gods presented the civilians with a new color of the spectrum, Indigo. The Color King demanded that all those with violet eyes were to be slain on sight, and this is where the country split. The Captain of the Green, known as being the color of defense, sided with the people and split from the Color Army Ganriel became scared, and gave the people back their weapons, however the split from the army caused him to issue a law that the Captain of the Green turn himself in for execution. The Green obliged and was slain publicly. The Color King ruled that all those of Green eyes were now banned from the Color Army, and that those with Indigo eyes must be brought in for execution, as their eye color was unnatural. The people obliged as they knew the alternative was to lose their weapons and possibly their only chance of bringing the Mad King Ganriel to justice.

Decades have passed and now the resistance, lead by a green eyed champion, is poised to make a move against the Mad King. However one man has been sneaking into the castle and stealing from Ganriel himself. The thief is rumored to have Indigo eyes, and that is how he is able to get past the Color Army and into the Castle. The people have been crying out this unknown thief, now known only as the Fade Thief, to lead the resistance to strike. The Fade Thief however seems to act only on his own whims, and musings. The captain of the Color Army has issued a strict curfew for the citizens, forcing the resistance to meet under ground within the catacombs. Strangely the Color King himself has strangely quiet, and the Captain of the Color Army has been doing things as he wishes. It is at this pivotal point in time that our tale begins ....

Rules:

No god-modding, no puppeteer-ing unless permission is given otherwise or it's an NPC you created for a few posts to help with the plot, excessive swearing is fine by me as long as everyone else if okay with it (including specific words), should romance occur it should only to be taken to light's out, have fun, and if you're going to be absent for a while then please say something in advance.

I didn't include killing someone else's character because you should at least have permission to do so first or if you both have been planning it. Be prepared to have a character die if something happens. Maybe it's to advance the plot or you got bored.

Magic/Eye Color System:

Magic in the land of Alearnia is based on the color of one's eyes. Each color does a different action however there are a few rules that apply to all of the colors. The person must be able to see the color they are aligned with to use their power, thus drafting the power from their color. That is why they are known as drafters. To get around this problem drafters were given round rimmed sunglasses stained with their color to wear in battle. Drafters also have problems drawing from their color in the dark. At night many of the Color Army are seen holding torches to give them some light to draw on their power. It is theorized that this is why the Fade Thief only strikes at night. Each color has it's own power and they will be used as they are below:

Red: Red is the color that makes up the vanguard of the Color Army. Their power is that they can heat up an part of their body, but they can not create flames. They can survive walking through fires without receiving burns, and they can heat their flesh to the point of melting steel. Red drafters are fond of swords and lances due to the fact that they can heat the blade to the point that it will cauterize wounds, or cut through steel.

Yellow: Yellow is similar to red in that they are the second half of the Color Army Vanguard. Yellow has the ability to shock their opponents equivalent to that of a modern taser with their touch, and are known the quickest of all the color spectrum. To take advantage of this skill they typically wear light armor to allow themselves the maximum amount of movement. Like red they can not physically manifest lightning on their own, however it is very simply for them to channel the energy through metal. As such many of the yellow drafters rely upon swords and special all metal rods of various size for combat.

Green: Green has always been associated with protection. Their power is the ability to form what is called constructs, however they can not create weapons with said constructs. They can created shields, and many created the armor they wear into battle. The constructs are very tough, unable to be cut by most weapons or pierced by even bullets. Those with green eyes are said to be among the strongest in the nation, capable of feats the average citizen of similar body type could never complete. Green drafters have much more freedom in weaponry than red or yellow, and some simply cover their body in their construct and fight using only their fists or legs.

Blue: Blue, as though to contrast red, has the ability to cool their body temperature, to the point that they can freeze objects with which they make direct contact. They have been known to survive freezing conditions as though they were at room temperature when sent out to explore to frozen lands. Their power however does not work well with any sort of weapon, and thus their weapon types are among the most varied as with green.

Indigo: There are very few with Indigo eyes, as a child reported to have them is slain on the spot. However, much is known about their powers as it completely unique from the others. Indigo drafters have the ability to teleport themselves short distance in an ability dubbed flash stepping. They can go in any direction, but they can not propel themselves upwards. However if there was a ledge at the same level they would be able to go to it as though they were walking. They can not go through objects, and if there were an object obstructing their movement they will either smash into, break through, trip or otherwise with the object. Indigo drafters are said to have the speed of a yellow drafter, making them very elusive. Another unique ability to the indigo drafters is that their powers seem to work equally well in night time as they do in day time provided they can see their color. Obviously this power is weapon independent, meaning they can use any and all weapons.

Weapons: Alearnia grew as a nation based on middle age weaponry, however in the time before Ganriel made his rise they had recently stumbled upon steam technology. However since his rise the technology has been put to use more toward weaponry than anything else. As such there are flintlock pistols, musket rifles, and other gunpowder powered weapons available. That is not to say your weapon can not be unique, but it can not be overly advanced. If I find one of your weapons unsuitable I will inform you when you send in your character.

Character Roles:

There are three roles that have been established in the prologue and are open for people to play if they so wish.

The Fade Thief: Taken
The Captain of the Color Army: Taken
The Leader of the Resistance: Taken

Accepted Profiles:

User: Strifer Garuwashi
Name: Lewis "The Fade Thief" Wayland
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 145 lbs
Eye Color: Indigo
Physical Appearance: Lewis
Personality: Lewis is an easy going slacker on the outside, and this is the persona he gladly portrays to the public. He never seems to take anything very seriously, however he is very adept at calming down a situation even if force is necessary. Many people know of his skill, and the resistance has asked him to join many times, but he has always declined. He is rarely seen without brown round rimmed glasses on.
Biography: Lewis was born in the slums immediately following the prayer of the people during the second rebellion against Ganriel. His parent knew his eyes were the answer to their prayers, but kept him hidden. Only taking him out in public during the day with bandages over his eyes, and claiming that he was blind. However anytime he was at home he was allowed to do as he wished. This did not stop Lewis from sneaking out at night, where he learned about the Mad King Ganriel and his decree. Lewis trained his powers at night and one day was chased back to his house. Lewis' parents claimed to not have a child, and the Color Army slew them as Lewis watched from the rafters. Since then Lewis vowed to ruin the Mad King and destroy him form the inside out. Lewis became the Fade Thief, and has continued to sneak in and cause chaos while inside the castle, and though he hears the people's cries for him to lead the resistance, he does not trust the resistance, and acts only on his own whims.
Weapons: Lewis carries on him a short sword and a dagger which he wears on his left hip, a flint lock pistol on his right hip, and four throwing knives on the front of his belt. Due to his unique sword style he wears a bracer on his left hand that is metal on both sides. Due to this fact the bracer is custom fitted for him. The side of the bracer that faces out is carved with an owl, and the inside is covered in scratches due to how he draws his blade.
Other: Lewis is often found on tops of buildings staring up into the sky, and enjoys playing new games.

User: Ty Gwynnia
Name: Nelly Periwinkle
Gender: Female
Age: 23 1/2
Height: 5 feet even
Weight: 114 lbs.
Eye Color: Brown
Physical Appearance: Sandy brown hair reaching a little past her shoulders and largely held back by an orange plaid bandana, smattering of light freckles across her cheeks and nose, and pale skin. Wears a light green dress with puffed ruffled sleeves halfway down her forearms , a sepia brown apron with a chocolate brown ribbon tied in the back and a large pocket below the waist, and light brown slipper shoes. Two grass green ribbons keep the front parts of her hair next to her bangs tied loosely. When baking, floury hand prints adorn her apron and she often wears red crosshatched oven mitts.
Personality: Optimistic with a streak of rebellion. Victim to bouts of depression during rainy weather. Willing to help others when possible. Cowardly when faced with confrontation.
Biography: Nelly had a father, a mother, and an older brother. Her brother took before she was born and died Her mother was green-eyed and joined the Resistance early on in its founding after the Green was executed and her father was a brown-eyed baker. Life was a little quiet in her household as she grew up, but it was warm and content. Over time, the Periwinkle family was placed under suspicion by the paranoid king after one of his soldiers had an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients in their home-baked bread. Rather than look into the matter, Nelly's father was taken in for questioning and the probability of assassination. Nelly and her mother waited for him to return, but when it became apparent that he was never coming back, her mother, believing that the Resistance now had no chance of overthrowing the King, committed suicide. That left Nelly, traumatized for a while and self-rendered mute, to take over the bakery business. Unlike her mother, she kept hope in the cause and supports them as much as she can.
Weapons: A sharp triangular dagger and a bread knife kept in her apron pocket.
Other: A staunch Resistance supporter. Expert baker. Communicates to others through written notes on a sketchpad.

User: Ty Gwynnia
Name: Daniel Korin, Captain of the Color Army
Gender: Male
Age: Appears in his forties
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 250 lbs.
Eye Color: Red
Physical Appearance: Military cut black hair with a few appearing gray hairs. Normally seen in either a red military uniform with dark boots when not on formal duty, with his weapon on his person and his red round rimmed glasses tucked onto the folded collar, or in his plate armor featuring a red sash about his waist and his glasses on. He has a muscular physique.
Personality: Aloof, with an air of authority about him. A natural leader. Loyal to the end, damned may he be. Uncertain of his actions or of the future. Daniel doesn't take much joy in anything, but he enjoys performing drill exercises, fighting, and war related discussion. He can be quite the chatterbox at those times.
Biography: Daniel's family was heavily ingrained into the military and it was obvious that their son be admitted and trained early on. He and the Captain of the Green got along well, so much so that they began referred to as "brothers". Whether they were actually related or used the word figuratively was only known to the two friends. As the peace faded and Ganriel slew his way to the rights of the throne, Daniel remained loyal to the demands of the new king, although his heart was conflicted when helping to quell the rebellions in the kingdom. Even as the Captain of the Green left to protect the people and Daniel's own wife and daughter were slain, the warrior found quickly that breaking from the Mad King's grasp was nigh impossible. He pushed Ganriel to return the weapons to the people, pointing out that taking them away would only make them more unruly in time and the Green would push all the quicker to take the king down, although he truly wished to prevent any open conflict from starting. If Ganriel listened during their conversations, he didn't show it, yet all the same Daniel was relieved at the show of "generosity" until he heard that the Green was to be executed. Daniel was never really the same after that day, nor through the years afterward. The change had most likely occurred, heard in the whisperings of his fellow soldiers, either from the blood of his dead friend on his hands, or perhaps by the realization that he was too loyal (or too scared) to rebel against the Color King.
Weapons: Daniel is rarely seen without his iconic flamberge, whether it be wielded one-handed or two-handed, at his hip or in his hands. Two hidden knives in either boot poke their hilts up to be easily snatched up by the warrior when in combat, and two more knives are strapped onto the undersides of his gauntlets. If there are no weapons available, Daniel will resort to hand-to-hand combat or, rarely, a musket he's ever wary of.
Other: Fond of raisins. Improvises when there is no color to draft from. Has terrible nightmares.

User: Transformersgirl13
Name: Andrea Buckle
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Height: 5'8''
Weight: 115
Eye Color: Indigo
Physical Appearance: Andrea (out fit: she normally wears whatever is currently in style, she likes to wear all kinds of colors. she likes to wear scarves too, she goes back in forth between wearing brown glasses (which are a bit large for her) and bandages over her eyes.)
Personality: Andrea is a kind person, she likes to try to help people when she can, but she also tends to be a bit of a trouble maker, she's a fantastic liar.
Biography: Andrea is the middle child of three. she loves both of her siblings deeply and wouldn't know what to do without her older brother, Romulus. Since she was little, Andrea has faked being blind, to get around guard check (seeing as a blind person can't see colors), and it tends to work, the only people who now the truth are her parents and her older brother, needless to say, she's gotten very good at faking to be blind.
Weapons: Andrea likes to carry a dagger for protection, she would like to carry others, but doesn't know how to wield any, she does know hand to hand combat, thanks to her brother.
Other: She likes to go out at night, normally dressed in very dark colors, and look around the city, since, on some days, she can't normally. Andrea lives on a farm just outside of the city limits with her parents, older brother Romulus, and little sister Abigail.

User:Transformersgirl13
Name: Romulus Buckle.
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Height: 6'3''
Weight: 250
Eye Color: green.
Physical Appearance: Romulus (Romulus is broad shouldered and he also likes to wear green, white and beige clothing.)
Personality: Romulus is a very kind person, though he tends to get into fights a lot (especially when people tease Andrea) he likes to work with Steampunk things (I.e. Gears, pipes, stuff that requires steam, the usual) he's often found in 'his workshop' which is a barn near his home .
Biography: Being the oldest of three, along with his protective nature, Romulus is extremely protective of his two sisters. He enjoys getting his hands dirty and often helps on the farm, and also in his workshop in their barn, it's not very big, but Romulus doesn't mind.
Weapons: Romulus has a large shield, which he like to use his powers to make stronger and larger, if ever needed. He also sports a short sword, both his sword and shield are modeled after the Steampunk fashion.
Other: he has thoughts of joining the rebel army. he has a bad habbit of falling asleep in the barn.

User: Rayne Engel
Name: Finlay (Fin) Korin, Leader of the Rebellion
Gender: Female
Age: 38
Height: 5’ 2
Weight: 115 lb
Eye Color: Green
Physical Appearance: Fin’s years of puberty were not promising to her as she never grew very tall nor did she ever fill out. Her frame is small and petite causing those that haven’t seen her in action to doubt her powers. She has short and choppy brown hair that goes no further than her shoulders in the front and it getting shorter as it goes back. Her green eyes always have a mischievous sparkle in them. Her battle gear consists of one piece of armor (fits like a one piece swim suit would). The armor pieces are layered to allow for flexibility. Tight fitting boots secure around her feet and up her calves to allow for her construct to easily cover them. When she is in private she normally wears tight pants and simple tops that are of dark colors; black or brown. Other than that she is usually always in her armor because she never knows when she need to fight.
Personality: Always keeps her senses sharp and is on her toes when she is out and about. She’s constantly weary of the King and his army and feels the need to check her back every five minutes. Although this is how she feels on the inside, only two people in the world would ever know she is such a nervous wreck. On the outside she is a strong, outgoing and confident woman. She likes to joke and was always considered as one of the ‘guys’. Her strong leadership skills and sharp tongue that is prone to speak her mind is what got her to where she is today.
Biography:
The moment Fin opened her eyes after being born her parents feared for her to go into the king’s army. Although they were more than happy to put their son in the army, they couldn’t’ imagine their ‘princess’ having to join too. They attempted to bribe the medical personnel that helped deliver her to keep her a secret, but it was their job to report any eye color that wasn’t brown. Sadly her parents accepted they would have to give her up.
She went into training for the army at an early age. Her unique fighting style made her stick out to the current captains of each of the armies. She was feisty as a growing girl and her strong will and rebellious nature only grew with her as she turned into a young woman. She joined the army and gained ranks. She was always one to fight for what she believed in and so when the new King took over forcefully and began treating the people horribly, it was just not something she could accept, and that seemed to be how many of the other green eyed soldiers felt. She would not settle for a king such as him and would rather die trying to stop his reign than to obey a tyrant.
She was sad to see that her closest friend and brother, Daniel, did not join her when she left the army to join the resistance. She never was able to see much of her brother growing up, until after she was able to fight in the colored army. Now they were separated again by something that couldn’t be undone. The two never gave out if they were really siblings or not, which Fin is currently glad of. She would of felt bad if she hindered her brother and his career by others knowing they were actually siblings.
When the Captain turned himself in, many people of the resistance were at a loss on what to do next. Fin was the one that stepped up and showed more support than normal. Somehow she became the new leader without even really meaning too.

Weapons: Fin’s weapon is her body. She covers her arms and legs in her construct, which also forms into a helm. Its form is something similar to spiky armor that has juts and crevices that allow her to deflect blades (the blade gets caught in one of the crevices and then she can jerk her arm to control where the blade goes) Most of the juts that come out of the sides of her arms and legs are sharp enough to inflict cuts if she lands them just right. She is light and swift on her feet, although nothing compared to yellows and indigo, she is still fast compared to everyone else.
Other: I will be drawing concept pictures of her soon. She keeps Cora a secret from everyone except those she trusts the most.

User:Rayne Engel
Name: Skylar (Sky) Raymond
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Height:5’10”
Weight:140 lb
Eye Color: Yellow
Physical Appearance: Skylar
He dyes his hair green. Usually he wears a special homemade cloth that wraps around his upper body and arms (like a mummy) that have metal threads weaved into the cloth threads for conduction, reinforcement against blades, and flexibility. His pants and boots look somewhat like this. He has an Egyptian feel to his clothing. His hood in the picture is a cloth that is actually a wrap (like the green one in the picture) but he has it loosely wrapped around his head.
Personality: Sky has a cool and reserved personality and prefers not to do more work than he is required to do; lazy pretty much. He is calm and calculating in battle, rarely, if never, losing his temper to taunts of his enemies. He's not one to talk much and rarely starts a conversation with others and when he is confronted he is blunt with others. It is rare when he is friendly towards anyone, although the more clumsy they are the more likely they are to gain his attention simply because he’ll find their klutziness humorous.
Biography: He never knew much of his past other than that he was abandoned as a child. The only thing he remembers is being in training for the army. He had always been closed off from the world around him and was spacey, never paying much attention to his surroundings. It caused him trouble when he was younger and in his first years of training. Eventually he graduated and became a part of the army. Once they saw how he acted in actual battle he was praised greatly, although he never much cared for it.
When the new King took over he didn’t change his loyalty, although he didn’t technically agree with how the new ruler was dictating. The only reason he is still in the Color Army is that there’s nothing that makes him want to leave.
Weapons: Two Identical Tanfas that he conducts electricity through as he fights. He also has a few throwing knives that he keeps on him.He perfected his fighting style around his tanfas. His hobby allowed him to be able to preform stunts such as flips, cartwheels and the like.
Other: I may do concept drawings of his cloth when I get the chance. His hobby is also a secret until I get the chance to show it :3

User: TheStrawberryWitch
Name: Hunter James
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 153 lb.
Eye Color: Brown
Physical Appearance: Hunter
Personality: Hunter is a calm and aloof character. He would rather keep to himself but he chooses to put on a friendly and approachable front when conversing with others. He is only himself around Nelly or anyone else he may become close with.
Biography: Hunter grew up relatively unaware of the changes that were happening around him. He was never one to really care for anything that didn't imediately effect him. He was aware that there was a new king and he remembered his father's frustrations when they had to turn in their weapons. He never really tried to understand the serverity of the situation of the kingdom then. Now that he was older he began to form an openion about everything. He didn't technically like that the king held the green and indigo colored people at gun point, but he also didn't want to get directly involved. He never told on any indigo or green eyed people he happened to come across because he knew that Nelly was very much for the revolution. He works at her bakery, helping her manage the customers that come and go that way she could focus on the baking part. Sometimes he helps her back in the kitchen and he was slowly learning the way of baking.
Weapons: He always keeps a knife and pistil on him in his pokets but he does know how to weild swords and practices sword play in his free time.
Other: N/A

User: TheStrawberryWitch
Name: Cora Blanched
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Height: 4’ 9”
Weight: 124 lb.
Eye Color: Indigo
Physical Appearance: Cora
She usually wears overly sized black sweaters like the one in the picture. She alternates between black leggings or medium length black skirts depending on what she feels like. She likes wearing hats that are similar to this accept black. She always has on her favorite brown leather boots that go up to her knees.
Personality: Cora is quiet and shy, always keeping her head down and avoids eye contact. She is easily flustered. Despite being shy and fearful, once she gets to know someone she starts to lighten up. She is very defensive of things she believes in and sometimes actually tries standing up for herself or someone she may think highly of. She is prone to cry if something upsets her and she avoids fighting or confrontation at all costs.
Biography: She was abandoned as a baby and was taken in by a generous family, who she later learned were not able to have children. They kept her safely tucked away inside the house, never allowing her to leave because of her indigo eyes. When she was old enough to understand they told her about the situation she was in and that her life was always in danger. One day when she was sixteen the streets caught wind that her adoption parents were holding a child that had indigo eyes. The Color Army came to investigate and found the parents with the girl. The father fended off the army the best he could while the mother escaped with Cora and took her to a safe hiding. She was left in an abandoned house with a promise that her mother would return. Days passed and her mother never came. She stayed locked in the house and was on the point of dying because of starvation when Fin found her. The green eyed woman kept her at the abandoned house and provided her a food and books and a safe place to hide in case someone of the Colored Army came by. Sometimes Cora strays outside of the house and into the town when it is night and her already dark eyes are hard to decipher.
Weapons: A switch blade that she keeps in her left boot or anything else she can get her hands on. She’s not one for confrontation and relies on protection from others, mainly Fin.
Other: She loves reading a good book and singing to herself.

((I shall take the initiative, then!))

There was a tension in the air. Perhaps it was the heat lightning that flashed among the stormclouds approaching from the east, heralding a booming thunder that had not yet rang out. The fluffy whiteness of the clouds had turned a menacing black as the evening passed, and now it wasn't long until the rained poured down onto the castle. Or perhaps it was that, sooner or later, the Thief would come. The visits were infrequent and that kept the Captain all the more wary.

Daniel Korin stared out at the darkened buildings, the torches of the patrolling soldiers meant to enforce the curfew, peacefully, appearing as somewhat distant beacons of light. The humidity in the air from the gathering storm made it a little hard to breathe but not uncomfortably so. Behind him, one of the soldiers that had come to make her report was just finishing up.

"--halls are lit, so we've forgone holding torches. Your orders, Sir?"
"Very good." Daniel said, pulling the sides of the casement window shut and locked as he turned to look at the woman. "I want 2 shifts tonight, swapping out as the darkest hour approaches. Remind the others to stay alert and to investigate any strange activity or noises. Anyone who is not a servant or a fellow soldier is to be detained for further questioning." The woman nodded, her hand on her lance, and left him standing there. Daniel glanced out at the dark buildings one last time before he drew the curtains and slipped his tinted glasses on, staring out at the world through a haze of red. His falling hand brushed the hilt of his flamberge, sheathed at his side.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 09, 2014 11:30 pm

The figure walked along the dark streets, the harsh winds of the oncoming storm whipping the cape around her thin frame. She kept her head cast down so that no light from the buildings would reach her face. The streets were nearly abandoned by now because of the new curfew. It was stupid, to say the least, but there was nothing she could do about that now. She was running late for the resistance meeting because of Cora. She couldn't be mad at the poor girl, despite how much she wanted to be upset with her. She was lonely and broken, and that fact alone made the woman feel bad for her.

She made her way into the local pub, shutting the door and locking it behind her. She greeted the gruff man that stood behind the counter cleaning glasses from the day. Business was going bad for him because of the curfew but he managed to pull by with the help of the resistance.
"They've been waiting for you, Fin" he said softly as she pulled down her hood. "Yeah, yeah, I figured." She smiled at him as she continued her way to the back of the pub and to the stairs that led to the storage basement. She skipped the stairs two at a time to the bottom floor. Trailing her hand along the wall while she walked she searched for the secret passage. She found the door and removed it from the wall, going into the dimly lit corridor that turned into more stairs. Hastily she descended to meet with the rest of the group.

Skylar laid back on the high rafters in one of the many hallways inside the castle. It was like a damn ant pile in here, it seemed like half of the training back then was learning how to navigate the building. He adjusted his goggles over his head and breathed slowly, his right leg swinging lazily over the edge. "Sky?! Skylar, where the hell are you!" the soldier groaned inwardly as he peered down to see a man from his squad. He couldn't remember his name but names never mattered to him. They must of been issued their orders, finally.

Skylar rolled over and began falling at a great speed towards the floor. He landed on his feet behind his squad member, "Boo." his voice was monotone and void of anything. Despite his empty tone the male still nearly jumped out of his skin and shouted out with surprise. He held his chest as he breathed heavily, his blue eyes glaring at Skylar.
"Quit playing around, we have to get to the west wing, and now." He pushed the green haired male along the hall, cursing and scolding him for disappearing so suddenly. Man, being a soldier is such a hassle. What I wouldn't give for the nice country life. Skylar sighed to himself as he let himself be taken to the post.

Hunter stared silently out the windo of his small bedroom and at the empty streets. He played with his hair absently while he watched a hooded figure walk purposefully down the street. Mostlikely one of the reistance. He thought to himself as he watched the person disapear from his view around a corner. That was the same corner the figure went down many nights. He recognized the form but he never was able to get a glance at the stranger's face. He turned away from the window and looked into room, wondering what there was to do. Being locked in his room like this was only boring when he knew it was forced upon him. He wasn't choosing to be here right now, but there was nothing he could do unless he wanted to be arrested or killed for disobeying orders.

Cora huddled silently in the house she called her home. It was simple and plain, the only real furninure was a single matress that she slept on, a box she used as a table and the book shelves that held all her wonderful books. She kept the place relitively messy just so it wouldn't look suspicisious that someone lived here. She snacked on the jerkey that Fin had brought her to snack on earlier today while her azure eyes looked out the dark window. She should hear the wind beating against her the house, making the old walls creak under the pressure. She shivered and pulled the blanket tighter around her. It seemed like she wouldn't be able to go out tonight. She had a growing pain inside of her that could only be called loneliness.

Night time was here. As a bolt of lightning lit up the alley around him, Lewis could only smile. Night was the only time in which he could truly be free, and not be cursed to the bland life of infinite brown. With a smug little feeling inside himself he took off the dull brown sun glasses, his view of the world momentarily full of the darkness around him in it's natural color, and slipped them into his pocket. Night was not the time for Lewis the lazy. Now was time for the Fade Thief. A quick and efficient hand pulled the uniquely indigo sun glasses and slipped them on as thunder boomed above his head. His color surrounded his vision, and now more than any other time he felt relaxed. The Fade Thief was in his natural element, and he was at home. His body began to feel more nimble as he let the color enlighten his view.

Lewis stayed as such for only a moment before the thunder boomed overhead. Three seconds had passed. The storm was close now. The Fade Thief needed the storm if he was going to do what he wanted to tonight, the sound would give him more leeway for his movement as it created sound on the roof. However, this meant that he had to move fast. Lewis needed to be inside the castle before the rain started, or else he'd have to abandon the night. He pulled the brown hood out from underneath his jacket, took off his scarf, pulled the hood on, and tied the scarf around once again, this time covering his nose and mouth. The motion was practiced and natural. This allowed the hood to stay down while he was running or flash stepping, and the scarf dulled the sound of his breathing when he needed it to be silent. With everything in order, the Fade Thief moved slowly toward the entrance of the alley, looking in both directions for guards on their curfew route, and darted down the street into the next alley. If the guards had not change the route, there shouldn't be anyone patrolling this street for another thirteen minutes, but it never hurt to be careful. Plus he needed the cover from the guards on the roof. Tonight was going to be the night. He would go farther into the castle than he had ever done before, and nothing short of mother nature was going to stop him.

Daniel was determined to capture the intruder. Rather than participate in the shifts that he'd arranged for the active guards that night, he'd made sure to get plenty of rest during the day. It was useful that whoever it was only showed during the night hours.

Outside, thunder announced the storm's arrival. It wouldn't be long until the rain began pouring down, and heavily from the looks of the black clouds. It wouldn't be long until the empty halls were scoured with alert eyes. The anxiety began to well up inside his chest again as he thought this, as if filling to the brim of a vase. He shook his head to dispel it, began his own patrol route, and clasped his arms behind his back, the scrape of metal from his gauntlets against his armor raspy in the quiet. He might as well enjoy the silence for the time being.

Nelly moved around the gathering of people, offering the contents of the basket that hung on her arm to anyone that was hungry. It was dim in the room, although candles stood lit on pieces of small end tables that had been dragged down, and it was dusty, despite having been cleaned quite a bit. The messiness was useful in the way that if the catacombs were ever inspected, it would appear that the only person coming down would be one paying their respects. At least, this is what she hoped.

Fighting had never been her forte, nor was planning. She listened and baked, but that suited her just well enough.

Andrea listened to the thunder boom, and listen to her younger sister read, struggle with a word, get help from their mother, and read again. Andrea was wearing her brown glasses and a soft smile. Her sister was only eight, so she still struggled, the thunder boomed again, soon her sister would stop reading and describe the storm for Andrea, something she always did. Andrea hated the fact that she technically had to lie to her sister about her blindness, but one did what one must.

Romulus was in his workshop, cleaning up his most recent mess, gears abd tools laid about, he was working on making Andrea Indio goggles, the kind that wrapped around, Romulus himself had a custom green pair he built. Once he was finished with Andreas' he would start making a brown pair for Abby. His goggles had a bronze rims, gears in both side and a thick black strap, the girls, he decided would be more feminine, smaller strap, but the same custom design. Thunder again, he sighed abd grabbed his jacket tie to had to the house to see what everyone else was up to.

Lewis darted between the buildings, careful to wait for the guards to pass so he could sneak behind or around them, taking solace in the alleys. There was no need to flash step now, this was the easy part. Only once had guard even turned to look in the direction of Lewis, but only to see the darkness of an alley. It didn't take long. The route was planned, efficient, and quick. Within a few minutes he was between a house and the wall of the castle. In indigo he could see the light of a torch above him. The guard was paused looking down at the streets for any suspicious movement. They never looked right under their noses. Another flash of lightning lit up the alley, but the guard still looked hopelessly out at the town. His torch went back on the path of the wall, and the light slowly headed off to the Fade Thief's right.

This was the hardest part, scaling the wall quickly. The house had been built close to the wall when new space was needed for more citizens under a king more noble than the wretch that sat on the throne now, and this meant Lewis could climb up with one arm against the building and one against the wall. He pushed himself upwards, and his legs caught a groove in the bricks. Again he pulled himself up and caught himself with his feet. He repeated the motion six times. It happened quick, his muscles strained, butt hey were toned and this was nothing out of the usual from his usual training nights. If anything it was giving him energy.

One more push and Lewis was close enough to grip the roof. The Fade Thief moved his other hand from the wall, and pulled himself up, pushing also with his legs. The roof was tall enough that if Lewis jumped he could just grasp the top the the wall. He checked to make sure that all torch lights were far enough away before jumping, then grabbing the wall with both hands. As quick as he could he pulled up with his arms, his feet slid for two steps before catching a brick, and he got himself up and over the wall. With ten quick steps he was on the other side of the wall. A quick look showed him the inventory shack just to his left, once again close to the wall. A flash of lightning lit up the courtyard, and now he knew he had his chance. He waited for one beat and then leaped towards the equipment shed. The Fade Thief was going to be short. The Fade Thief was never short. The familiar feeling welled up deep from within his as quickly as he called upon it, and in the blink of an eye he was ten feet forward. The world seemed to rush around him faster than anything else he had ever experienced, and he was a mere foot above the shed. He landed softly, and quickly slid down the side so that he was between the wall and the building. The Fade Thief smiled. He always imagined that when he flash stepped it was what it felt like to be a bullet traveling through the air. Now was not the time for joy though. Lewis had to wait. The guard was about to make it's courtyard round.

((Strifer, assist me in quoting Rayne and Witch!))

[NPC]
The guard posted in the courtyard paced slowly. His boots thumped on the cobbled ground and swished through the grass when he did not stick to the walkways. The blue-eyed man glanced up briefly at the dark sky when the thunder rumbled, much like a cat watching a mouse from the shadows. It would begin pouring soon and he'd left his umbrella on the other side of the courtyard. No doubt he'd be soaked through before he made it back. He shrugged to himself; he'd pick it up when he rounded back.

Finlay finally arrived where the group waited. Before they could protest about her being late she quickly spoke "Sorry guys. I had a lot of business to attend" She smiled at them as they groaned and she tried shushing them. "Come now, lets get to business." Slowly everyone quieted. Finlay moseyed over to her chair as she slid off her drab cape, tossing it on the chair at the end of the table at the front. She sat down in it and propped her feet up, getting comfortable.

"Does anyone know why I called us here?" Her eye twitched as she was met with blank stares and crickets. She let out a heavy sigh and face palmed, rubbing her temples. Slowly one man piped up,
"I did my part, I examined the far west area and noted any changes in the guards movement, in which there were very few." The woman known as their leader nodded as the male offered her a sheet and she took it, looking at it for a moment. This was good, this means they had a pretty good relocation of all the movements. "We still have the newer army outfit?" Someone shouted aye and she nodded, smiling to herself. "Now all we need is someone that could pass as a Color Army Soldier. Anyone have any ideas?"

Skylar walked back and forth through his assigned hall. The same male from earlier, Lance, was walking opposite of him. The green haired male yawned drastically, patting his mouth as he did so. "Do you even think he's going to show up tonight?" Skylar asked nonchalantly as the two of them passed, he stretched his arms up and held them over the back of his head. "Well we won't know unless he's seen or in the morning when he's already gone. That's usually how it works" Skylar groaned in frustration, wanting to say how stupid it is that they're still trying to catch someone who obviously can't be caught, but doing so would get him a death sentence.

{ OOC: Did you guys post that fast? Was I taking too long? Sorries sad I had a bunch of homework and studies build up this week, I've barely had time to do anything else... }
