Why: I'm a straight ally. I think it's ignorant to judge someone because of who they love. Gay or straight, people are people. I have a best friend who is a lesbian, and of course some of my other friends said, "Isn't that a little uncomfortable? Don't you have a boyfriend lololz?' I just looked at them. Juist because someone is gay doesn't make them boycrazy, and not every lesbian is going to hit on me. I'm sick and tired of hearing sad stories in the news of promising young people getting killed and killing themselves because of their sexuality. Equality has always been an important issue for me. We should all be free to love who we want to love. My mom disagrees with me because she's very religious; she sees homosexuality as a "scapegoat" for "social oddities" and says that "it's just a phase"
No, it's not. Therefore, I'm out to improve the lives of homosexuals, no matter how small of a difference I make.
