 I thought I was going to see Star Trek yesterday (Sunday) but my Dad decided to take us to see Oz instead, since it's more of a film my Mom would enjoy than ST. *sighs* Not to mention the Regal theaters around us having been getting quite a few bad reviews for their bad service and other stuff. So... I'll have to wait until it comes out in our small, local theater. Not sure how long that'll be.

I'm going to occasionally post here while I work on the design for my birthday cake.
I finally determined the theme and invitation look/saying stuff, so I've gotten that taken care of. Now I just have to figure out the other important stuff. First will be the cake design... and then make a official decision on what food/snacks I'll be having.

The idea of following this two layered round cake with the book cover ends on the sides isn't working out for me. I don't have that many books I would want to feature on the cake that would take up that much room. So... now I'm having to rethink how I want the cake to look like while still keeping the basic concept of the book ends around the edge... and an open book on top. *sighs* Back to collecting to cake design ideas, I guess.

I'll have to do more cake designing later. Still trying to figure out what I want the new look to be now. Whether I just want the one opened book or the edging of books.
Right now my focus is on the plans I've got with my friend later tonight.
