 I think this bothers me more than it should because of the way she approaches things. If it was a slow transition into getting to know what we've been up to since we last saw each other, it probably wouldn't bother me that much. But instantly after her friend request being excepted, she's non-directly invited me to watch her play volleyball, trying to get my cell number, and directly asking what I've been up to.
It probably doesn't help that we're on two different intellectual levels. It makes it even harder to stay "civil" with her.

Lisa, why you asking me all of these relationship-oriented questions? Are you trying to get at something? Like I mentioned before, stop beating around the bush and just come out with it. It'll make the conversation a whole lot less awkward that it's already getting.

For goodness sakes, Lisa, if you're still trying to invite me to a volleyball game, just stop. I'm not going to come see one of your games. Especially not on Halloween. If I'm not working that day and don't have any other Halloween plans, I'm not going to go out and see a game of yours. I'll probably stay home and spend time with my parents instead.
