Good afternoon everyone. I have two hours until I'll have to leave for work. *sighs* I'm not really in the mood to go to work. If I was just a pre-closer, I wouldn't mind. But nope, I'm the closing concessionist. Hopefully I won't have to stay for too long tonight.

My leftover Red Velvet cake with White Chocolate Cream Cheese frosting is still good today as it was last night at the restaurant. Mmm... yummy!

Hey everyone. Sorry that it's been awhile since I truly posted here. As I mentioned a few times in the main forum area earlier last week, I was dealing with the beginning stages of a cold that I caught my Mom. Well... Friday night/Saturday morning, the cold hit me majorly. Thankfully I didn't have to work at all over the weekend, so I could just relax and recover. Yesterday was probably the first day that I actually felt back to somewhat normal. Still dealing with some gunked up throat stuff and the occasional runny nose ((already gone through like two boxes worth of tissues because of this cold... ugh!)).

And guess who is now showing potential signs of catching the cold themselves? My Dad. *sighs* I caught from Mom and he probably caught it from me... or both of us. Hard to say. That tends to be the way things go. Mom and I deal with the cold first and then he catches it.

So, I'm sure by now you've heard about the chaotic business going on about The Interview - how some people hacked into the company, stole stuff, and threatened them... and then the movie theaters (and now some movie companies?) have withdrawn from showing it ((heck, my theater [which is part of one of those main movie theater chains] even took down the posters for the film)).
Anyway, I'm just sitting here going... if you didn't like the concept of this film, why did you wait until the moment before it was going to be released in theaters to make your move/threats rather than do it at the time of it being in production? It would've saved everyone a whole lot of time and money doing it then rather than now. Not to mention, even if it doesn't show in theaters, someone is going to find a way to leak out to the world... then that would defeat the whole purpose of keeping it "locked" up. *shrugs* I don't know... maybe I'm just thinking about that fact because I actually have some common sense.
But in the end, I really don't care whether The Interview is released to the public or not. I was never interested in seeing it in the first place.

Ugh... I really need to do some Christmas shopping. Originally I was going to do it last week during my days off but then I got sick, so obviously I wouldn't be up to doing it. Then I thought I would do it today, only to wake up with a gunked up throat and stuffed nose which basically drained me of any umph to do anything. So, I thought... okay, we'll postpone it to tomorrow. The new guy at the theater called to ask if I would be available to cover his Usher shift, especially since everyone else wouldn't be able to do it. So... tomorrow is now off the table. *sighs*
SATURDAY! I will do Christmas shopping on Saturday. No more excuses or postponements. Christmas is only a week away and there's no more time for diddle-daddling.

And before someone goes "You know you could've shopped online and not have to worry about going out"... I know that that option is available... but that only works if you actually know what you are planning on getting for the people you're going to shop for. Aside from the "traditional" gifts I get, I have no clue what I'm going to get. That's the whole reason why I go out to the mall and shop via walking around; I don't know what to get until I see it and go "Hey! That would be a perfect gift for so-and-so, especially after such-and-such".
...
And suddenly my inner voice is talking like Felicia Day, lol.
