Sorry for the delay in posting. I decided to catch up on my journal entries while I had the chance. Better to be catching up on only a week or so's worth of stuff rather than end up being a month or more behind. Especially when some occasions contained a lot of emotional aspects.

You may have noticed that my To-Read list has grown quite a bit recently. It's because I've added books from the Sword and Laser book club hosted by Veronica Belmont ((she is part of the Vaginal Fantasy book club)) and Tom Merritt. The number of books from that actually was slightly smaller because many of the ones they've been reading were ones I've already read. So, that helps minimize how much I have to add.

Also, the list of "Currently Reading" books (a.k.a. Kitten Star marked books) is a bit large right now because I have the combination of the month's picks for all of the book clubs I'm part of ((though I finished the book for Screen Reads yesterday)) and the three books I had planned on reading next outside of the club picks.

*starts reading "The Story of O"* Uh... what?! This is such a strange story.

While I've read some erotica-oriented stories before ((mostly due to Vaginal Fantasy)), this is not appealing to me at all. I'm disgusted by what is happening and I don't even sympathize with the character. Not to mention, unlike some of the other romance novels I've read, I'm not even turned on by anything that's happening.

Sure, this is a big deal because of the time it was published and maybe some of the history that surrounds it. But aside from that, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
