A couple days ago I watched Magic Mike XXL after being allowed to clock off from work earlier than I was scheduled. Originally I didn't think I would be able to see the film in theaters due to the timing of the showings and my work shifts. I absolutely loved the film! Now it makes me want to watch the first film now, which I've never seen before.

My favorite scene from the film - and in fact the very scene (which I saw during a theater check when covering for our usher while they were on their break) that convinced me to even bother considering to see the movie in the first place.   Mmm, mmm, mmm.... heart

I was already familiar with Joe's good looks from him playing as Alcide on True Blood... but he's never been on my radar as much as he is now.

Anyway, not much going on in my life. Mostly it's me either working at the theater, doing my volunteer shifts at the shelter, or at home reading or catching up on my TV shows. Occasionally I might have an event going on here and there.
Sort of sucks when someone who hasn't seen you in awhile goes "So what's new?" and you're just there going:

My friend Melissa and I finally got to hang out with each other for the first time in forever. Even though it was only a few hour visit, it was nice getting to see her again and be able to talk about work and personal stuff freely and not feel like you have to censor what you're saying, just in case the wrong person overhears.
I learned that she's now seeing someone. Someone I actually know - because we work with him. Strangely enough it didn't come off that big of a surprise for me. Not because I guessed what was going on ((I actually didn't pick up on anything between the two like I've done with two of my other co-workers who are not-so-secretly dating each other)) but because I already knew that she was looking into dating for awhile now, so it was bound to happen. I'm happy for you and the guy is pretty cool and seems like a good match. So, hopefully things work out for the two of them.

But now that I know she's dating someone, it makes it even more... depressing? awkward? ... I don't know... it just makes me realize I'm one of two remaining single people in our group of friends. And to be honest I'm not really sure if the one friend who I think is single is truly single; who knows she might be seeing someone and we just haven't had the chance to do a girly talk to be notified about it. And the others are married, so... yeah.

And there's the one guy that I've had a semi-crush on that I've gone out a couple times with but I wasn't really sure if it was just as friends or if it was not-official dates. Back when those "dates" were going on, I thought things were actually happening. And apparently some of my family members were thinking along the same lines ((it's not that often I do something with a guy friend)):
But now things have gone back to their usual casual friend level. So, I'm just confused on whether I misread things (like I tend to do) or if there's still a potential of something happening.
