Hiya! My name is Kailey, though I do insist that you call me Kk or Kai.
16/Female
Straight

I live in the bible belt somewhere in Louisiana; however, I am a self-proclaimed Agnostic. I have respect for Christianity, but being raised Catholic, I've just found the practices hypocritical as well as the people who practice it. Anyways, being homosexual, sexual (or, I guess, different) is frowned upon here by those less cultured and I'm tired of it. Love is not restricted to a man and a woman, and people need to learn how to respect others.

A little bit about me: I play French Horn in my High School band; I also play Trumpet, Guitar, Ukelele, and a bit of piano. I love to draw and sing. I'm also a sucker for a good musical. I look forward to talking to everyone in this great group :3

Hello, I'm new here ^w^
My username is Chocoshrooms/Choc, and my real name is Chloe. (I don't usually give my real name on the internet...). I'm a 16 year old female, and I don't even know/care what I am because I have the best partner ever ^///^ (she is amazing<3) who...used to be my best friend. Long, painful story, but we're together now. c':
I'm mainly here because even before I got a girlfriend, I hated how the world views people with different views in life :c I see all the bashing on the news and I really just want to cry. Just recently the state I live in (North Carolina) just passed Amendment one, which was a big blow to the LGBT community here. My minister at my church was very inspiring though and motivated me to keep fighting. (My church is very open minded. My minister is in a same sex relationship and no one cares ahha)

Well, I've probably rambled enough for now c':
I hope I can motivate and inspire all you lovely people to not change and live life outside of societies forced stereotypes <3

Hello there.

I am glad that your minister is very supportive and inspiring, and not to just only for their rights but to encourage others to do the same. I wish more were like that, whether they are in a same sex relationship themselves or not.

Hopefully things will change for the better, not just where you live but everywhere. smile

Yes, She's really amazing c: It might just be the church though (Unitarian Universalist) but she's a great role model. I know lots of people who support the lbgt community even if they are straight, but I guess I don't know the majority of people ^^;

Yes c: I would like to be able to go anywhere and not worry about what people think if I'm holding a girl's hand, and same for everyone else ^__^

Each church and minister is different, so it varies quite a bit. Good that you have one that is a good role model and that church is open mind. 3nodding

Yeah, not having worry about being with the one you love would be nice or to be able to legally be allowed to marry them and have the marriage recognized, no matter what state or country you like.

Yes, it is true ^^ Love my church thingy aha~

I know that's one of my main worries; people finding out. I mean, I wouldn't care but we can't let it reach to her mom because she would probably disown her. My parents, they wouldn't mind...but I don't want my gf to loose her family because of me, especially if we might not make it out of high school.
I never got the whole marriage issues :c I mean, Religion is supposed to be separate from Government, but I guess that's to be expected with the country being built on religion. It also stinks if you get married in one state, but won't get recognized somewhere else

Yeah, it's quite sad that some people could be disowned and lose everything. sad

I never got it either, but people been fighting the constitution forever now. It seems to be more about what they want or believe, but forget that not everyone is part of the same religion or believe in the same thing.

Sad thing is people moved to American for freedom of religion.

Yes, and I especially don't want that to be my fault x___x

Yes, I guess I can understand some people's point of view because I grew up in a mormon area as a mormon, and didn't know that mormonism wasn't practiced by a majority of the world (because I was used to everyone around me being mormon) until i learned it in school. (probably in like 6th grade...I was really slow ahha) I'm pretty satisfied with how open minded i turned out to be, considering how I was raised lol~
I just wish everyone else could have an experience like this that would open thier eyes ^^

That is really sad...sad that we end up being restricted by what we came here to be free from :c

Hi, I'm Patrick. I'm 27, so I guess that makes me about 92 in Gaia years. I live in Ohio right now, but I grew up in the southwest and I often think I'd like to move back out there at some point.

I'm gay, and I'm in the midst of one of those hard to classify relationships where you start kind-of-but-not-officially dating somebody you were already friends with.

Hello awesome people!

Name: TigerLilyChick, but some people call me Tiger.
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Why Am I An Ally?: During my freshman year of college, Maryland tried to pass something that allowed for same-sex marriage. The bill wasn't passed and my friend was pretty upset about it. This made me want to "be the change" so my friends will be able to marry the person they love.
A Little Extra About Myself: I belly dance (my style is American Cabaret) and I'm a musician. I can play the clarinet, bass clarinet, bass guitar, piano, and balalaika. I want to learn to play the saxophone (my cousin's giving me his old alto sax once he gets a new one), the cello, the pan flutes, the harp, and the ocarina (not because of LoZ: Ocarina of Time). I've also been told that I have the gift of public speaking, and I love roller coasters.

Ooh neat, I am a belly dancer too! I am ATS (American Tribal Style) and Tribal Fusion. smile It's really fun. Playing instruments is really fun as well.

Nice that you want to support your friends. I agree, we all should be able to marry who we love. 3nodding

Do you play any instruments? If so, what instruments do you play?
