So, everyone's grandfather and I have a typewriter..

Yeah, I made homemade with a few friends once. It took a long time, if I remember correctly- the ice cream wouldn't freeze in the bag fast enough.

Oh no, we made it the old-fashioned way with a bag. It was fun, but awfully slow, yeah. XD

Right now, my ice cream mix are in 4 popsicle molds freezing as I type. I have a whole bunch of left over in a bowl in the fridge, so I'm just going to grab some containers and throw it in my mega freezer! biggrin

It was a while back, but essentially, it involves mixing ice with rock salt into a large bag, and then putting ingredients for ice cream (vanilla flavoring, sugar, milk, etc.) into a smaller bag within it and shaking the entire thing vigorously. It usually takes a few minutes for the inner bag to turn into an ice creamey consistency, but because we tried this in the summer last year, it was slow. XD

EDIT: Mega freezer? That sounds amazing, bahaha.

Oh, and I call it a mega freezer because it's a big freezer in my garage that makes a loud noise. rofl So, I officially call it my mega freezer.

Yeah, I have an Underwood No. 5 from 1922. She's in rough condition, but she shows promise. I need to find myself some ink ribbons and a cleaner for the gears. Once that's done, she'll function properly.

As for Ice Cream... my stars, that sounds delicious.

Bahaha, I usually pig out on Ben and Jerry's when I feel stressed-- so the refrigerator freezer houses quite a lot of ice cream. I might eat some tonight to... uh, celebrate the end of March.

@Admiral: Ice cream does sounds really yummy right now. But the ice cream I made is still freezing. I kinda want some ice cream from Maggie Moon's. HOME MADE ICE CREAM WITH HOME MADE WAFFLE CONES TO MATCH. It's major win. ninja The place smells amazing.

EDIT: WTF, NOOOO! I just heard some thunder. WOW. The weather is LITERALLY raining on my parade this spring break. emo
