I'm Jess, I'm 27. I am a bi chick. I started dating a guy in high school, and 12 years later we are still together and married. It took a while to realize I was bisexual. In my region of the United States (the 'Bible Belt'), being LGBT is just now starting to be kind of accepted, and even then, only in larger cities. And being bi is even more taboo than gay or straight. The words "she will make up her mind eventually, its just a phase to figure out if she is really gay or straight" are pretty common here. I've always had...urm...certain thoughts when I looked at girls I found attractive, but my thought process was always, "well, I like guys, so I am not a lesbian." I finally realized when I was about 24 that denying the part of me that likes girls was not being true to myself. I am not out to most people. I have a husband, I don't think it is anyone's business who i fantasize about since that is all it will probably ever be. I have never been with or dated a woman. I have kissed a woman, and it was...well, afterwards I could no longer deny that I was bi. It makes me sad that there is a very good chance I will live my life without ever exploring that side of me. But, thats life.
