I had to look up the dates in relation to Job (as featured in Good Omens) and the events taking place in one of the songs I selected "Rivers of Babylon." There's about 20 years difference between the two...

So, now I know what potential appearance Crowley could have around that time. Unless I wanted to create my own look for him in my head.

Yeah, it looks like this is the look Crowley would be having around the time of that particular song's events. xd

At first I thought I would go with Crowley's look as seen during the Ark scene but that's like 2000 years or so before the events with Job, so that' not going to work. sweatdrop

"Adam, Eve," she said, stepping up to the humans. "This should not come as a surprise due to recent events. I have been sent to escort out of the Garden."
Adam and Eve did not vocalize any responses but gave forlorn nods.
"Come with me," said Jophiel, as she turned to start escorting them through the garden to the Eastern gate of the garden.
After traveling through the garden for awhile, Jophiel came to a stop and turned towards them.
"This is as far as I will take you," she said. She pointed in the direction they had been going. "Continue in that direction and you will meet another angel. He will show you the way out."
Jophiel watched as Adam and Eve made their way through the garden. She glanced sideways seeing a large black snake slither out of the foliage of a nearby tree to the ground and soon it transformed into a dark red-haired, black winged individual.
"Ah, so it's out of the garden, is it?" they said.
"Such a shame," replied Jophiel.
"Shame?" inquired the individual looking at her with golden snake eyes.
"They were such fascinating specimens to watch."
"Yes, I suppose most of God's creations are," said the individual. "These were just... the most unique. But... it seems the Almighty has already had plans for this lot. We're all just playing our parts."
Jophiel hummed in thought. "Yes, I suppose."
"So, what now?"
Jophiel turned to look at them and smiled. "You know very well what is to happen next... Crawly. Adam and Eve leave the garden and go out to populate the world."
"I meant for you," clarified Crawly.
"I," started Jophiel, before looking around at the flora around her. "I don't really know. Originally I was charged to watch the Tree of Life... but I suppose now that the world is expanding beyond these walls, She might have other plans for me now."
"Still following her orders then."
"We both made our choices, Crawly," said Jophiel, frowning. "Don't think of tempting me to change that."
Crawly stared at her, a faint moment of sadness passing his face, before he nodded.
"Right," said Crawly. "No time to break Heaven and Hell more than what's already happened."
Jophiel smiled sympathically and laid a hand on his shoulder, as she turned to leave.
"I am still here should you ever need me. All you have to do is call."
"Don't waste your time waiting," replied Crawly under his breath as she walked away.

Crowley turned to looked behind upon hearing faint footsteps. A woman in whitish-tan robes in the style of the Celts stepped to him, threads of gold woven into the fabric matching the gold ball at the end of her braid and golden jewelry. She took a seat next to him and they both looked across the river at the humans in the distance.
"It's a shame it's come to this," said the woman finally.
"It definitely makes it hard to do wicked things when they go and out do you with their own acts," said Crowley.
"Really?" said the woman, turning to look at him. "You don't consider it a load off of a serious job?"
"Are you actually condoning what I do?" asked Crowley, looking at her in surprise.
"We all have our parts to play, Crowley."
"Just because we are given a part, Jophiel, doesn't mean you have to play it," retorted Crowley.
She turned her attention back to the seen before her, a tear slowly making its way down her cheek. "This is not the world I expected Her to create. It feels so... strange."
"It was never our job to speculate what the Almighty has planned," said Crowley. "Or so I've been repeatedly told."
A silence fell between them for a moment.
"You want to know something?" said Jophiel, breaking the silence.
"Hmm?" asked Crowley.
"I don't feel like singing anymore," said Jophiel.
"What?" said Crowley, shifting to look at her more directly.
"I don't know why... but I just don't feel like singing. And you know how much I love music."

User Image

"Yeah, one of Heaven's favorite bards," replied Crowley. "Any idea why the change?"
"I don't know. Maybe it has to do with all of this hatred and turmoil the humans have created. Hard to sing about anything when it feels so weird."
Crowley patted her hand in sympathy but didn't remove it as they both turned back to the scene before. Over time, Jophiel weaved her hand into his.

"Since it has been some time you have last been here in Heaven, I will have a member of my team help you get familiar with how we run things. Jophiel!" said Metatron.
Aziraphale shifted on his feet as he turned to see a golden haired woman approach them. She wore a whitish-tan suit with golden accents matching the gold wings on her bowtie.
"Aziraphale, this is Jophiel," said Metatron. "Closest thing to my right-hand angel."
"Sir," said Jophiel, nodding at Metatron then looking over at Aziraphale. The corner of her mouth turned up into a faint knowing smile.
"Jophiel," continued Metatron. "This is Aziraphale. He will be our new head Archangel. I wish for you to help him get familiar with our department."
"I will do my best," replied Jophiel, bowing slightly in acknowledgement.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have other matters to attend to," said Metatron, walking away.
Jophiel watched him leave until he was no longer in sight before turning her attention back to Aziraphale.
"You're in good hands," said Jophiel. "There is no better angel for Metatron to pair you up with."
"You work for him?" exclaimed Aziraphale, fretting with the bottom of his waistcoat.
"I work in the same department as him," she replied. "Don't confuse that as meaning I have the same views about how things should be as him."
Aziraphale stared at her before his face shifted into an expression very unlike him. "And what exactly are your views about how things should be?"
The knowing smile widened on her face as she stepped closer to him. "That they should be the way you've always fought for."
Aziraphale's mouth opened in surprise before closing. "Since when?"
"Oh..." said Jophiel, shrugging. "The sparks have always been there... it wasn't until recently that I realized how blinded I was to the truth."
Aziraphale watched as she readjusted her bowtie, frowning in slight disgust as she looked down at her clothes before looking back up at him.
"So, what now?"
"We go to work on the greatest miracle of all!" replied Jophiel, the smile reappearing on her face.

"What are you doing here?" hissed Crowley, anxiously looking around at the crowd passing around them. None of the humans glanced their way as if they weren't even there.
"Taking care of business," said Jophiel.
"What business could an angel such as yourself have here on Earth? Shouldn't you all be upstairs to prepare for the change of command?"
"If you are talking about... your Angel," said Jophiel. "He is doing just fine."
"Not that I care," replied Crowley.
Jophiel's face lit up with a knowing smile. "Ah, but you do."
"What?"
"Don't let all of this white and gold fool you," said Jophiel, waving her hand at her attire. "I am on your side."
"You're not a demon," said Crowley.
"I didn't say I was on Hell's side," retorted Jophiel. "I saw I was on *your* side."
"M- My side?" stuttered Crowley, shifting his head so he could look over his sunglasses. "Why?"
"All in good time, my dear."

"Oh, hello!" exclaimed Muriel, seeing Aziraphale and Crowley standing on opposite sides of the open space in the bookshop, awkwarding facing each other. "I didn't realize you were going to be here."
She jumped as Jophiel appeared from between a couple of bookshelves and walked over to her.
"Jophiel!" said Muriel. "You're here too?!"
"Muriel, dear, how about you go upstairs and finish sorting those books that just arrived?" suggested Jophiel.
"Oh," said Muriel, frowning for a moment and then broke out into bubbly smiles again. "Of course!
Jophiel watched as the angel disappeared upstairs and heard the door close. She turned to look at the two individuals standing in the opening.
"There we go. To business, then?" said Jophiel.
"We have a problem," said Crowley.
"Yes, it would seem so."
"And you're aware of where she stands?" asked Crowley.
"I am."
"So, what are we going to do to solve this?!"
"I don't know!"
"You're already halfway there," said Jophiel. "Or I should say... a two-thirds of the way there."
"What?" asked Aziraphale and Crowley at the same time turning to look at her.
"You two have done your part but the others are starting to pick up on that possibility. A magic trick that they've realized they've seen before. But a magic trick can be changed... adapted to still confound those its performed before."
"What exactly are you proposing?" asked Aziraphale.
"We add an unexpected wild card," replied Jophiel. "Me."
"You?" asked Crowley.
"Precisely."
"Are you suggesting what I think you are suggesting?" inquired Crowley.
"Indeed," said Jophiel. "There's no one better to do the job. And despite your... recent history, we have reached a crucial moment in time where the two of you need to be working together. At the same time. In the same place."
"But you can't leave Heaven. They'll notice your absence," said Crowley.
"*Jophiel* won't be leaving Heaven. She'll still be there... by your Angel's side, just like she's been tasked to," said Jophiel, mischievously smiling.
"And Crowley?" asked Aziraphale.
"Doing what he does best here on Earth."
Crowley and Aziraphale looked at each other for a moment and then a faint relieved smiles appeared on their faces.
"It might just work," said Crowley.
"They won't suspect a thing," said Aziraphale.
"Then you're in agreement?" asked Jophiel.
"Let's do it," confirmed Aziraphale.
"Take my hand then... Crowley," said Jophiel, staring at the red-haired, golden-eyed figure before her.
He reached out taking her hand and wave of energy seemed to radiate between them. After a moment, they let go of each other's hands, looking at each other and then over at Aziraphale.
"It worked then?" asked Aziraphale.
"Just as planned," replied Jophiel.
"Will they notice that you've used your powers to do this?"
"Why would they keep an eye on Jophiel?" asked Crowley. "She's Metatron's right-hand angel. She's the one to keep Aziraphale in line, after all."
The three of them smiled and nodded. Aziraphale and Jophiel left the bookshop and Crowley turned to look up at the stairs.
"How's it going up there with those books?" called out Crowley.
"Oh, coming along!" replied Muriel's muffled response before the door squeaked open. "Just about finished. I was about to bring some - oh!" There was a sound of books falling and her comments of distraught. "I was going to bring some down." She came to a halt at the bottom of the stairs looking around the library, holding a disordered stack of books in her arms. "Where... Where did they go?"
"Ah," said Crowley, looking over his shoulder and then back at her with a wide smile. "You know. Back to Heaven to do... heavenly stuff."
"Oh," said Muriel, frowning disappointing. "I had hoped to speak with them. I wondered how things were up there. It has been so long since I've been up there."
"Do you really care what happened up there?" asked Crowley. "I mean, you weren't exactly anyone special, were you? Just some lowly angel doing their grunt work. They probably haven't even noticed your absence."
"Your right," said Muriel. "I was nobody."
"Ah, but you're not a nobody here!" said Crowley. "I see you have been doing marvelous work here in this bookshop."
"Oh, you really think so?" said Muriel, looking at him pleadingly wanting confirmation on the praise.
"Most definitely!"
