I am what I am because... I am. I didn't realize until the past year that I was bi (leaning towards homosexuality), but it makes more and more sense as I look back over the years. While there isn't a large gay community where I live, and I hear the phrase "that's so gay!" used about ten times every day ( stressed ), I've been lucky enough to have friends that understand and support me.

XD I haven't told many people, including my parents, but people have noticed that I've been very relaxed with life and myself since discovering I'm bi.

I then decided to join colorguard to let my sexuality get out (Since apparently if you're a guy and you're in colorguard... you're assumed to be gay) and I met Dustin. I think people need to be more accepting of other sexualities, as it's not something someone can help. People don't choose to be gay/bi/trans/straight, we're born that way. I never understood why people say "You chose to be gay!". Why would you choose a more difficult way of life for yourself? (Although life for LGTs is getting easier nowadays).

I'm 34 and I'm a mother of two, one who is on gaia and invited me to join the festivities razz I'm enjoying figuring this stuff out.
I had my first real girlfriend in College when I was 18 but I was too scared of my parents to move on my feelings so I gave in to their wishes and did what was expected of me for 10 years (get married, have children, and all that) HEY I actually wouldn't change any of that part of my life...I didn't enjoy it at all but I learned so much that I wouldn't be who I am today without living through all that I have.
I came out to myself in April of 2000 and then to my husband in July...and I left him in December of 2000 and started my new life in California.
I am a Lesbian. I've had two really bad relationships.
I was "married" once to a wonderful woman who died in 2003. I think that was the hardest thing to go through in my life...and I thought being a teenage was hell!
