Roveth looked over the Grid with a hum ,before nodding "i'll see what i can do, but i make no promises on getting -everything- worked out." he said while moving off to his room to get to work, just as well, as Shiro helped axel up and drug him to his own room to pass out there, then Shiro went to his room to do the same, dealing with exhaustion himself, though not as bad as axel at least.

User Image"That's fine," Crystal nodded. "I just think it could be worth it to try to find out more about it if we can." She would of course disappear into her own room, settling down with one of her strategy journals and scribbling some tactical diagrams of the Unversed Colossus as well as the Megazord and Dragonzord combination that had managed to defeat it. There were notes in the margins in her handwriting as well, posing hypothetical ways to fight more efficiently in the future.

Xion also returned to her room to get some rest.

Roxas, meanwhile, had been sleeping just before Axel's arrival so even after the drain from going into battle with the Megazord like that hadn't completely knocked him out yet, but he was hungry so he decided to venture into the kitchen to see what he could find. Of course, he also knew that once Axel was done recharging they had a lot of catching up to do so there was plenty to think about until then too. When he did eventually decided to return to his room with nothing better to do he noticed there was still light coming from the vicinity of Crystal's room where she had finished scribbling furiously in her strategy journal and had transitioned to meditating cross-legged on her bed while listening to something on a portable music player, humming along vaguely to an unfamiliar tune. Roxas shook his head and continued into his own room, only slightly wondering whether or not that girl actually has an off switch considering she never seemed to stop unless it was an absolute necessity.

of course, unlike Shiro who had been busy snoozing and dreaming of his internal soulscape, that wasteland filled with blades, like a lonely memorial to those who had fallen. (IE: not snoring!) Axel would at least wake up a few hours later, coming out of his room with a yawn and rubbing the back of his head, before wandering off to hit the kitchen to get something to eat, and once he got himself a sandwich he'd go see if Roxas was still up and about. of course another light that was still on room wise was Roveth, who was currently utterly fascinated with the toy he was tinkering with (the Grid) and -very slowly- deciphering parts and all through trial and error without damaging it and all. so far he had worked out the language barrier some, and started working on a small translator chip upgrade to make the thing more decipherable, at least pointing out worlds that had been catalogued previously(AKA ones they've been to) being translated into the common tongue, as well as worked on deciphering info on these paths that seemed to be there, and tried to make them give more info from the grid itself on them, translated of course (he hopes.)

User ImageRoxas would have taken his downtime as an opportunity to finally get dressed considering he'd been forced to rush into battle while still in his pajamas, although that wasn't an issue while he was morphed into his ranger suit. After that he had mostly been wandering idly trying to figure out something to keep himself occupied while the others were either busy or sleeping off their exhaustion.

"Hey Axel, feeling better now?" Roxas greeted his friend once Axel was out and about again.

Crystal had finally exhausted her brain enough to grant herself time to sleep and had finally turned off the light in her room before curling up tightly into a ball beneath the covers so she could drift off without further delay.

Xion, meanwhile, was still sound asleep.

Axel looked on over to Roxas, before chuckling a bit "yeah, i was kinda low on stamina today huh? probably because i spent so long searching for you and the others with little sleep, then i went and morphed and summoned a zord.. its any wonder i didn't de-morph immediately after morphing and passed out here in the command center." he said, while rubbing his head, before smirking "so come on, tell me the juciy stuff you guys been up to here, outside of the bump in the road that was Vanitas and his craziness." he looked eager to talk now that he had a bit more energy in him from his nap.

Shiro meanwhile was still asleep, and Roveth was still tinkering, having hit a road-block for now on the grid, and got back to work tweaking the weapons and blasters of his Super Megaforce form, he did have to morph to access em, but it at least let him work unimpeded once he did so.

User Image"Juicy stuff, huh?" Roxas considered the days that had followed since their initial arrival in Angel Grove, but there wasn't really much of interest that had happened since that first battle. "I guess we've all been keeping busy in our own way when we're not on the clock. Roveth mainly sticks to his tinkering with the gadgets here in the Command Center. It seems like Shiro either doesn't understand or doesn't care about his own limits so he keeps overexerting himself and tends to be exhausted whenever we have any downtime. Xion is getting more confident and it wouldn't surprise me if Crystal has been helping with that since she's been nothing but supportive this entire time. It seems like she's always looking out for everybody, although she also spends a lot of time by herself training and other stuff like that. She sometimes talks about some pretty complicated stuff that I don't completely understand, but I like that she tries to be honest." Roxas looked a little embarrassed as he continued. "Actually, when we were in the Realm of Darkness, she said something kinda strange about me having my own heart. She said it was basically brand new, whatever that means, but now I'm not so sure she was wrong about it either. Vanitas mentioned something similar when he got annoyed about my light not being compatible with his darkness even though I apparently look like someone he seems hellbent on fighting with."

Axel had given off a hum as he listened a bit, before moving a bit to sit down "well, for Roveth, having him something to do that doesn't involve blackmail or something like that is a good thing. Shiro..." he thought about some things, particularly what he's learned himself and from asking Crystal about him "Shiro.. thinks differently on a fundamental level, in a way, he is what you call a 'distorted' individual. it is also definitely linked to his magic, from what Crystal told me, so i doubt there's anything we can do to help him." he softly smiled a bit hearing about Xion "that's good... Xion needs that support, from all of us." he then proceeded to think on Crystal, glancing over to the now turned off light that had come from her room before looking back to Roxas "she said that huh...? she's not wrong, actually. while for myself, Demyx, and a few others of the organization that i know have been revived in their true forms instead of staying as nobodies, we regained our hearts after our nobody selves were defeated.. i just chose to keep the name Axel because i felt it fits me more" he then smiled a bit lightly "and i don't know what Vanitas's beef is with you, but... i -think- i know who he means, given the last time i saw that kid was when i was much younger, probably just about to turn 11 or so... he was a Keyblade Bearer looking to find and help his two friends, one of them esepcially, because he had been targeted by the b*****d that split Shiro from his darkness to form Roveth. i guess Vanitas is so keen to beat you up is because you look like the one he originally wanted so much." he never said anything specific like names, mostly because it's been a while, and at the time he met the guy, he didn't remember if he caught his name or not, so his memories of back then were sketchy, but some of the general stuff were there.

User Image"It's still pretty eerie that Vanitas looks so much like an evil version of Sora," Roxas responded with a sigh. "And it's really weird that his supposed light half that he keeps ranting about would be someone else who looks like me. Especially, if as you say, that person would have looked that way a pretty long time ago. I mean, I'm supposedly Sora's Nobody, but I've seen him and I've looked in the mirror and we don't look that much alike. Plus, this whole situation is even more complicated now because I was already reunited with Sora and that probably should have been the end of it, but then there I was on the Destiny Islands, once again separated from Sora. And the same thing happened with Namine. But she said there wasn't anything she could do to fix it because for some reason there was nothing left to fix. I mean, how do you even make sense of a thing like that? Oh, but Sora was ecstatic! So happy to finally meet me in person, wanting to do practically everything together. Ugh... he's exhausting. How did anyone actually believe he and I could be the same person? And what the hell even am I at this point?"

"Sorry to blow up like that, Axel, but this stuff has been seriously bugging me," Roxas ran a hand through his hair. "Although I have felt calmer since I've distanced myself a bit from Sora."

Axel nodded, letting Roxas vent a bit as he hummed before leaning against the wall with a smile "well, i'd say you're a mixture of both Sora's Nobody, and being the nobody of a guy i haven't seen in a long time, i think Sora -might- have his heart or something, much like, from what i remember overhearing from Riku and Kairi, that Sora had Kairi's heart inside him, but the process might be similar as to how i guess Shiro and Crystal are connected right now. as for Sora's.. Energy... truthfully, he's like an attention-seeking puppy who will shower affection and love on everyone that pays attention. thankfully, he's not a complete idiot though, just a partial one." he said, smirking a bit "though i wonder if he realizes he's acting like an attention-seeking puppy, or as some would call it, a mother hen, without thinking."

"Cease this nonsense immediately. A young girl, let alone a princess, has no business picking up a sword," one voice would say.

"I don't really care what you think. She asked me to teach her and you've already denied her the basic right of any child to have friends her own age because the rest of the children are frightened by her prowess as a summoner," another voice would respond. "As her guardian I will take it upon myself to train her to defend herself without having to always rely upon magic."

"Now look what you've allowed to happen! We can't keep the princess from wandering off now that she possesses the power to wield a Keyblade and you were the one who taught her how to fight!" the owner of the first voice would say.

"She's found a new master and discovered friends among the members of the Keyblade Unions," the owner of the second voice would respond. "What do you care, anyway? She's the younger sibling. Her brother will inherit the thrown. And his only talent is as a cleric so you don't have to worry about him trying to run away."

"The castle is under attack," a third voice would speak with incredible desperation. "The Heartless are everywhere and the lights in the sky are flickering out one by one. Pretty soon there will be none left. I've received grandfather's old Keyblade, but my ability to wield it is limited. I think it would be best for you to have it. I don't think we'll be able to hold them off, but even if this world is gone, Crystal, as long as you make it out of here, as long as you manage to survive, our kingdom will at least have a future somewhere. Even with your powers you can't fight this. You need to run. Find somewhere you can be safe. And above all else, don't forget to believe in the friends you find you can trust."

And then Crystal woke up in a cold sweat, trembling beneath the blankets on her bed. She knew now that she was older that even if she had been a good and obedient child, it probably wouldn't have changed what happened with the Keyblade War. Although if she had been obedient and never learned to be the kind of person she was now, then she might not be alive to reflect back on it. But those memories. It still hurt. "I couldn't save anyone back then..." she murmured softly to herself.

User Image"Well, Sora is kind of an idiot, academically speaking at least, but he's not stupid. More just hopelessly naive and not really having a complete picture of the information he's being fed," Roxas observed. "Anyway, I like where I'm at right now. Crystal told me that I have a right to be my own person without having to worry about being manipulated or misled by people who only want to control me. Although we haven't really talked much since she pulled me out of the Realm of Darkness. Of course, she also said she would have liked to become friends sooner, but circumstances being what they are she was afraid about putting me into the kind of danger that she and Shiro habitually get themselves caught up in. She's the first person I've met other than you, Xion, and Namine who would actually hate to see me disappear. I kinda wonder where that even came from."
PostPosted: Fri Nov 04, 2016 11:28 am
Axel hummed a bit, frowning lightly given he's heard a -little- bit of the antics that Crystal and Shiro find themselves in usually, especially pertaining to Xehanort and of course, that crazy one winged b*****d Cloud's always chasing off after... "this is a shot in the dark, and more than likely i'm probably wrong, but remember when Crystal talked about her being a princess from before the Keyblade war that happened? something there must be plaguing her enough to where she doesn't want to see you get hurt, she doesn't worry about Shiro as much because just as she's saved him countless times, he's saved her, they both know each other quite well in the present tense." he rubbed his chin lightly "so if anything, Crystal needs us as much as we need her."

Shiro had apparently slowed down his snoozing and breathing, his mind -drifting- as it were, away from the reality marble once more, of course, mentally, Shiro thought it was possibly another visit to the Velvet room, but it wasn't, instead he was within an inky blackness as if he was in a void of some sort, with one single point of light, which Shiro had glanced towards, raising an eyebrow ~what in the world...? wait... Adaptability...?~ he muttered mentally, continuing to stare at that single light, which grew brighter the moment it was mentioned, and would start showing other smaller stars, ones that he had no idea what they were, but seemed similar to the brightly shining one that gave information about it, he could glean nothing from those smaller stars though. of course, a bright flash occured, and Shiro woke up, sitting straight up in a sweat as he panted a bit, currently confused as all belief.

User Image"I guess so, but she doesn't exactly make it easy to figure out what exactly she needs," Roxas pointed out. "I mean, she always seems to know just what to say or what to do to lighten the mood, but I don't even know where to begin when it's the other way around. I can tell she has a lot on her mind, but that's it. I don't know how to help."

"And she's awake again," Roxas blinked when he noticed the light in Crystal's room had switched back on. "That's another thing I've noticed lately. It seems like she's having difficulty sleeping, but she won't talk about it."

Crystal would have been trying to pull herself together before actually leaving said room, of course, taking a moment to stare intensely into the mirror with intense concentration. "I'm still here," she spoke toward her reflection. "I sometimes wish you could tell me what I should do, but I haven't given up. I have friends now and I like them a lot. They probably aren't what you would expect, most of them are boys. But I think we get along pretty well and I feel like I can trust them. That's what you always told me, right? Believe in the people you can trust. They're the ones who are the most important."

She picked up a water bottle and splashed herself in the face before upending the rest of the bottle over her head to shake off any lingering sense of shock she still had from that dream and got changed into some dry clothes--black jeans, a black tank-top, and a silk sky blue colored over-shirt with a pattern of a crimson dragon in battle with a golden tiger across the back. Crystal would then emerge from her room hoping she looked less shaken than she had felt mere moments earlier.

"So, who wants lunch?" Crystal did her best to smile and sound enthusiastic while waving to Roxas and Axel.

"Lunch sounds great," Xion had quietly emerged from her own room, also awake, and was standing behind Crystal without the other girl noticing given she was a bit preoccupied with other things.

And then Crystal basically jumped a mile with a startled yelp. Nope, she's never living this one down.

PostPosted: Fri Nov 04, 2016 3:13 pm
Roveth had been coming out of his room before hearing the yelp, and looked up from his book to see Crystal jump due to the unassuming sneakiness of Xion, and gave off a creepy smile with narrowed eyes. Shiro of course saw this and sweatdropped a bit, and just stayed at least within everyone's field of view, just to show he had no plans to pre-occupy crystal for Roveth's whims. Axel of course noticed the look as well and clearly said "lunch sounds good to me, but you might want to be on guard Crystal.. Roveth's currently got the 'prank time!' look on his face." he said, while roveth suddenly gave Axel a 'traitor!' look, only to get a tick-mark when he saw Axel pull his eyelid down and stuck his tongue out at him "oh its on now flamebrain.. it's on now." uh-oh... did axel just sign his death warrant?

User Image"This could be trouble," Roxas commented in response to Roveth and Axel seeming ready to go at it.

"Are you okay, Crystal? You seem kinda jumpy today," Xion observed.

Crystal scratched behind her ear looking rather embarrassed and showing a small hint of sadness as well. "I'm fine. It's not really anything to be concerned about. I just had an intense dream that dredged up some old memories that are a little bit difficult to process. But I guess I didn't do a very good job of shaking it off if I'm still acting like a nervous wreck over it."

"And giving Roveth an opening to want to tease you," added Roxas. "You're usually more careful than that." He wondered what kind of memories she was dealing with to lower her guard like that. Difficult was a bit vague, not really hinting at whether they were good or bad memories. Although, she did seem a bit sad about whatever she was remembering so they clearly weren't happy memories.

"Are you sure you don't want to talk about it?" Xion was asking. "Keeping it to yourself really doesn't seem to be helping. You've been getting more and more stressed out lately so maybe you should get it off your chest. Roxas is a really good listener."

"Wait, what?" Roxas stared incredulously at her. "What are you volunteering me for?"

"I'll think about it," Crystal scratched behind her ear again. "Like I said, it's difficult to process. So, putting it into words might be tricky. And right now I'm kinda hungry."
