Hi! My name's Patrick, I'm 17, from Canada, and a out gay male. I came out in the summer of 2005, and it was quite the expirience. It was very difficult because I live in a small catholic community and I really didn't expect good results. And although it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, I still had fun. razz Like each new person I told, I made sure to telll them in a different and funny way! blaugh I never could have done it without the help of my friends that thought it was super cool and supported me the entire way. No one helped me as much as my friend Brian, an out gay guy who I his e-mail through a friend, said he would help in any way he could even though he never met be before in his life. He specifically told me that any time I needed to talk I could call him, even if it was 3 in the morning! haha. So I usually called him when I felt like I couldn't take it anymore, but eventually I called him like everyday just to talk cuz even his voice made me feel better. It's funny how a few times I was the one consoling him, but hey, that's what friends do! He was so sweet, so funny, and so cute, that I really couldn't help but fall for him. Funny how it turned out he liked me to lol. The first time we met and hung out at his place ALONE, I was so nervous lol! I kept telling me loosen up and stuff, so eventually I just said FINE! and I kissed him. My first kiss, and it was pretty great lol. But it didn't work out cuz he was graduating and was leaving for university. It took me a while to get over him and we hooked up a couple of more times after that, but eventually we became just good friends and we still are today! 3nodding Anyways, so about in mid summer, I finally cam out to my mom (the big finish), and now everyone knows lol. I sometimes get bothered but I don't take it badly and most people like me anyways, plus it's funny to scare homophobes. razz Now I have a bf, I'm completely in love, we've been together for over a year and I'm the happiest I've ever been all because I took a chance to show the world my real self. smile
