Roveth of course, still being asleep, was rudely awoken by the whole Riku clamoring to get everyone up, of course, the moment Riku got to his door and banged on it, Roveth looked up from his pillow (after covering his head with it, and bloodshot eyes included), he finally got up, and proceeded to stomp to the door, yanking it open with fist cocked back already, before proceeding to slam said fist -right- into Riku's face roaring /yelling out quite loudly "For the love of all things Kuriboh, Riku, if you -EVER- wake me up like this again after i've done something to knock me out typically for the majority of the next day, i don't care if you're a god-be-blessed couple with Namine, Sora, or even freaking Yen-Sid, i will throw you into the Shadow realm and face first down the gullet of a Man-Eater Bug faster than you can say 'Help me!' to ANYONE, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!?!?!?!?!?"

of course, THAT kind of shout would wake Axel and Demyx up, though Demyx would turn back over and snore, Axel would poke his head out of the room giving off a yawn "... and i thought Demyx was bad about mornings..." he muttered, before moving back into his room to get dressed in his 'Ranger civvy attire' and head downstairs with a yawn.

Shiro of course was already up and fixing food for everyone, since as usual, his nightmares woke him up early, though when he heard Roveth go off like a bomb, he winced a bit before shaking his head "yep, Roveth is definitely not a morning person... better get some extra strength coffee made.." he muttered, before moving a bit faster and working on getting a pot of coffee made for both Roveth and probably Axel as well. his own outfit was his 'Ranger Civvies' outfit minus the leather jacket and plus the 'I am the Bone of my Skillet' apron he wears when cooking.

Isa issued a slight growl before rolling over on his bed and going promptly back to sleep, thank you very much.

Riku, of course, went careening over the railing and face-planted into the floor of the mansion lobby, twitching mildly after being struck by Roveth. Roxas, along with Crystal and Xion glanced at him briefly before hustling their way toward the kitchen to grab some breakfast, leaving Riku to crawl there on his own.

"Hey, wait! Are you three seriously going to just leave me here!" Riku called out in protest.

"That's the basic idea," Roxas responded without looking back.

"You walked right into that one," Xion added in agreement.

"If we help you now it will only earn us Roveth's ire later," Crystal added as she hurried along with them.

Once they were in the kitchen the three would find seats at the dining table and wait patiently for Shiro to get done with preparing breakfast, just soaking up all those yummy smells. Riku, meanwhile, dragged himself painfully along the lobby floor in the direction of the kitchen, although he couldn't help but be amused at how comically in sync those three were about ditching him like that. It was more proof that they had grown close in the time they had all been together.

of course, thankfully for Riku he wouldn't get further ire in the form of Axel who came into the kitchen not too long after, though he would at least wait until he saw Roveth's state before he'd give any modicum of pity. "well, since we're obviously going to be heading out soon, i assume it's going to be a light breakfast today Shiro?" he asked, looking over to the cook in question.

Shiro would glance over to Axel before back to his cooking "yeah, just making some scrambled eggs, sausage links, and bacon today, already got a juicer going for orange juice and a pot or two of coffee, one pot for anyone else, and one pot for Roveth." he said, while humming along "also, i'm cooking some for those not yet awake in the mansion and leaving it for them to warm up when they wake up more casually."

Roveth of course finally came down, dressed in his own Ranger civvies outfit, but with the high intensity death glare and blood-shot eyes accentuating said glare, all pointing at Riku? yeah, it was clear that he was still -seriously- considering killing Riku anyway, nto like they'd find the body once he's done with it... of course, as if sensing the murderous intent, Shiro would bring out everyone's food, and swat Roveth with a wooden spoon "no, Yami-nii, you're not allowed to send people into the shadow realm this early in the morning." he said, setting the cup of coffee in front of Roveth, who took it and began drinking it "no one will miss him for a few weeks, honest!" of course, another swat, and Roveth just settled for death-glaring at riku at least until the caffiene started to work.

once the food was dished out, Shiro would sit at the table finally for now to eat, though he'd start conversation off "so, what's gotten you up in arms trying to wake us up and of course angering a tired Roveth at the same time?" he finally decided to ask, curious on what Riku was meaning about situations and all when he had heard the yelling.

Roxas, Crystal, and Xion naturally began digging into the food once it was in front of them while awaiting an explanation from Riku. Riku had managed to recover with the aid of a Potion, although his face was still pretty sore where Roveth had punched him.

"There's been a sudden spike of malevolent darkness on a nearby world and it's the same malevolent darkness that brought me and Roxas to Radiant Garden on the day you were kidnapped," Riku explained. "I've already verified it with Namine and her drawings are showing the same thing."

"Kefka..." Crystal gritted out the name. He'd not only wiped the floor with both Cloud and Leon without them putting a scratch on him, but he'd taken Shiro and performed experiments on him that they still didn't know the full consequences of. Roxas could see that distant, scared and angry look that being reminded of that incident had given Crystal and immediately took her by the hand to try to keep her grounded in the present. It seemed to work because she looked like she'd snapped out of it.

"Exactly," Riku nodded. "He's made another appearance and apparently he's picked another world to wreak havoc upon this time. It's unfamiliar territory so we don't really know how well the inhabitants will be able to defend against a threat like him."

"The only reason we managed to get rid of him before was because Roveth neutralized his magic so we could attack him directly," Roxas recalled. "It was brutal."

"Yes, we managed to beat him, but he got away from us in the process," Riku nodded. "And considering what he did to Cloud and Leon, two of the toughest guys we know without being able to wield a Keyblade, it's safe to say that Kefka is no ordinary threat."

"And who knows what that maniac is planning?" Crystal added uneasily. The problem wasn't that Kefka was evil. It was that he seemed to be absolutely out of his mind, being evil for the sake of being evil as though it was for his own twisted amusement. Crystal shuddered.

Xion hadn't been restored until after the incident with Kefka so she had no idea why the discussion had turned so intense. But, she knew it had to be serious if there was an enemy out there that actually frightened Crystal given she seemed pretty confident about being able to defeat most foes and if she couldn't do the job Shiro generally could.

"We'll get him this time for sure," Roxas tried to encourage Crystal, wanting to keep her spirits up because he definitely remembered how freaked out she had been during that last encounter. "I mean, with all of us, he shouldn't stand a chance."

Roveth stopped death-glaring at Riku when the bomb of Kefka finally showing himself had formed, and his eyes looked down to his food, keeping strangely quiet for a few moments, fork casually frozen as if not aiming to get food. "... i see." he said, a bit coldly, but it was obvious by the clenched fist that he too remember that clown, and his annoying as hell laugh all the same.

Shiro narrowed his eyes himself, looking towards Crystal, given he had heard crystal broke down a bit into hysterics on his being kidnapped, it had been a while since that happened and so sudden too... "... if he's back in business then yeah, we have to deal with him." he said, staying surprisingly focused, though he had looked down to his hands with a frown, remembering all too well how he was knocked out, and apparently experimented on without knowing exactly what that clown did.

Axel blinked a bit, frowning lightly "wait, this guy beat Cloud -and- Leon?" he said, clearly having not been in Radiant Garden at that time due to other things he was handling before he heard about Xion being saved and all. "then he is definitely no ordinary evil guy." he seemed to frown a bit, wanting to know more about the b*****d, but at the same time glancing to Roveth and Shiro, the latter being stone faced and hiding his emotions behind a mask, and Roveth, well... he looked like he was loathing himself a lot more than normal, if the look in his eyes was any indication.

"He didn't just beat them," Crystal had finally calmed down enough to talk about the incident. "The way they described it, it was like to Kefka they weren't even worth fighting. He didn't have a scratch on him. Heck, he even took a surprise 1,000 Needles from my Cactuar summon without flinching."

"And while we did manage to get Shiro back, we didn't actually beat the guy," Riku reminded everyone. "He retreated on his own so we really don't know the full extent of his power."

"Yeah, but... we're stronger than we were," Roxas persisted in trying to remain optimistic about their chances.

"Thanks Roxas," Crystal gave him a quick smile before looking serious again. "But the truth is, Kefka might be in the same league as someone like Sephiroth. We might be able to beat him and chase him away for a little while, but destroying him outright might not be possible. The difference is we still have to learn how to fight him. And we won't learn by avoiding the fight."

"Well said," Riku agreed with a nod. "Even if the odds don't look great, we probably stand a better a chance than most."

"I don't know how much good it will do, but I'll fight too," Xion added. "With the Keyblade if I have to."

Axel immediately cringed, he -had- been sent one time to test Sephiroth himself by Xemnas when the silver haired a*****e was in the Coliseum and all as an 'optional' fight, and boy did he regret trying to face Sephiroth, if this Kefka guy was on that level... he shuddered a bit.. only to jump slightly when something that sounded like glass broke, and look down the table, towards Shiro, who had broken his glass.

Shiro of course had finally gripped his glass enough to shatter it, and unfortunately embedding glass in his hand as he growled "there is no way that Kefka is unable to be destroyed, we -Will- find a way, and we -will- destroy him, even if i have to deploy my reality marble and then break it by using the Genesis Star that Sunders Heaven and Earth against that clown-faced b*****d!" blood dripping hand aside, he was passionate at least about taking the fight to Kefka instead of trying to flee from him.

Roveth just looked up when Shiro had broken the glass, and listened, before taking a breath, sighing "Aibou is right... as is Roxas, we are stronger than when we last fought Kefka, granted, he will probably have wizened up to my tactic with my cards, so utilizing Imperial Order once more to stop his magic will probably not work." he sighed a bit, smirking "so we'll just have to hit him in ways that can't be blocked."

Once their minds were made up they would be heading to the next world once they were through with breakfast.

"This place is weird," Xion said what they were all thinking when they gazed up at the laughing sun looming in the sky over the bizarre architecture of the world stretched out before them.

"Real weird," Roxas agreed. He'd been to some odd worlds in his time with the Organization, but not even Halloweentown could quite compare to the oddity of this place.

"What kind of place even is this?" Crystal had to wonder while taking in their peculiar surroundings. At least, for the moment, there didn't appear to be any Heartless.

"I suppose we'll just have to find out by having a look around," Riku spoke up while maintaining his composure. "We won't learn much by gawking at the place."

"Right," Crystal nodded. This was definitely one of the weirdest worlds she had ever been to.

"And besides, we still have to track down Kefka," Roxas added while he kept an eye on things in general. If that crazed clown was going to make a move, he was going to be ready for it. No way was he going to let that b*****d traumatize Crystal again.

Axel seemed to be somewhat calmer, though he did seem to be keeping an eye out at the same time for any threats, noticing the laughing sun he'd sweatdrop at it, with a couple of blinks "what the actual hell...?" he said, clearly creeped out by the sum, thankfully not creeped out about the rest of the area (aside from the death-like designs in the place... totally creeps him out.) either way he'd keep his senses on the spry for the most part...

Shiro of course had been looking around, slightly intrigued all the same as he frowned a bit, gripping his hands a bit as they traced out Kanshou and Bakuya almost immediately, apparently he had been searching for any hint of the darkness Kefka possessed, but he had yet to feel it either, so he kept his calm for the moment. though, it didn't last long until he felt killing intent coming his way, and oddly enough, a girl about their age wielding what looked to be a scythe came down aiming towards Shiro's head "Got ya, Kishin!" she'd call out, clashing scythe blade with Kansho and Bakuya as they were hastily brought up to block the scythe "wait whoa whoa!?! what the heck are you calling me!?!" the girl didn't let up, definitely showing a fancy style of wielding that scythe, a good expert at it "you can't fool me, you were luring these innocent people to someplace nice and safe and then devour their souls!" Shiro of course yelped, and tried backpedaling up a wall at least using some prana to stick his feet to the wall to do so "devour souls? why in the heck would i do that! i'm just a normal guy!"

Roveth of course had also been on guard mainly for Kefka's appearance, but seeing as how he hadn't felt anything deciding his presence in the area, he would relax... except when some crazy girl gets it in her head to call Shiro a Kishin? and attacks him. "thirty seven seconds. that's a new record for Shiro getting into trouble." he said with both an amused and exasperated tone of voice before turning to the girl in question and watching as she continued trying to attack Shiro.

"I think maybe there's been some kind of a misunderstanding," Roxas commented as he watched the girl wielding the odd looking scythe go after Shiro. "What exactly is a Kishin?"

"I think we can safely assume that whatever it is, Shiro isn't one because he definitely doesn't go around devouring souls," Crystal responded with her own confusion evident on her face. "Look, I don't know what you think Shiro is, but I'd appreciate it if you'd lay off my best friend and hear us out before you try to murder him," Crystal decided to try reasoning with Shiro's attacker first before launching into the battle herself. Actually, strike that, she was reasoning with both of Shiro's attackers. Somehow, it felt like that strange scythe was actually alive. This world was definitely weird.

"Do you really expect that will work?" Riku sounded a bit skeptical that they could so easily talk Shiro out of this.

"Eh, it's worth a shot," Crystal shrugged a bit. "No point in getting caught up in a fight we don't have to. Besides, they aren't Heartless so it wouldn't feel right attacking them."

"Fair enough," Riku had to admit.

"Poor Shiro," Xion was certainly concerned about him being attacked out of nowhere like this, but at least he was holding his own and hadn't actually been hurt so far.

Shiro had managed to get around back to the group when the girl managed to hear Crystal, blinking as she skidded to a stop, the scythe bending up peering with the eye-like design on the shaft, before a clearly male voice spoke up "what do you mean by that... and why in the world does that guy sound like me!?!" the scythe would say, pointing towards Roxas while the girl just sweatdropped at the scythe "... really, Soul, that's all you're more worried about?" of course, she just let go of the scythe until it turned into a white haired boy with shark teeth and all, frowning a bit "it just bothers me is all, and what's with the guy we were fighting anyway? he didn't even want to fight back." Shiro of course would speak up "That's because A: i'm not this kishin or whatever you called me, and B: i don't attack people who attack me for no good reason!" he said, shaking his fist in pure frustration. the girl blinked and looked to Shiro "wait, if you guys don't know about Kishin's.. who -are- you? and -what- are you, in your case." she asked, pointing to Shiro.

Roveth sighed, walking over to idly wrap an arm around Shiro's shoulders, shaking his head "this guy here is a very complicated, distorted individual." he said with amusement while Shiro nodded in agreement to that, even though it did sounded insulting to boot from Roveth, it was true. "as to the rest of us as a whole, we're kinda new to this place, so we know nothing about any Kishins or why you'd be fighting them with your... partner who becomes a scythe... what in the world is wrong with this world?" he asked, particularly to no one.

Axel just seemed perplexed at the moment, and at least kept himself quiet so he could listen in on things and try to make sense of them, apparently this was going to be one of those worlds that try his sanity.

"Do I really sound like that?" Roxas blinked in obvious confusion with regards to the accusation from the white haired boy who mere seconds ago had been that odd looking scythe.

"Actually, you kinda do," Xion confirmed. That certainly seemed a bit odd.

"Okay, I've got this," Crystal waved everyone down to try to keep the exchange as calm and level-headed as possible. "Think of us as travelers from a distant land," she explained. "Anyway, that aside, you can go ahead and call me Crystal," she added by way of introduction.

Riku was impressed, to say the least, by how well Crystal handled the situation. It proved how experienced she was in her dealings with the inhabitants of other worlds and how if she'd set her mind to it she probably could become a Keyblade Master without much difficulty. He nodded to her explanation and introduced himself, "Call me Riku. Pleased to meet you."

"I'm Roxas," Roxas naturally introduced himself, glad that the assault on Shiro had at least been halted for the moment. Although he did still find the guy who had transformed from the scythe to be a little strange, particularly the way they apparently sounded alike. He'd never had that happen before. Obviously, he was sticking close to Crystal given that he was still worried about them having to face Kefka again on this world and how she had nearly lost it already at the mere mention of him. Roxas certainly had a right to be feeling protective.

"And I'm Xion," Xion added her own introduction. Like Roxas, she was glad the situation had been defused so quickly, although given how Roveth had reacted she wasn't confident that it would last. Shiro's bad luck and trouble magnet status really seemed to have it in for him.

And, of course, Shiro, Roveth, and Axel could all introduce themselves after which point Crystal would explain some more. "We're here looking for someone we thought might be in the area. There haven't been any sightings of a deranged maniac dressed up as a killer clown, have there?"

Axel of course spoke up with a two-finger wave an all "name's Axel, got it memorized?" he said with his cheeky way of saying things though he did resume looking around closely, he could almost feel some sort of darkness in the area that's for sure.

Shiro of course sighed, idly pushing Roveth off of him with amusement as he shook his head "my name's shiro Musouka, though i tend to just go by Shiro as of late." he said, while the two looked over to Roveth, who just bowed dramatically, but not in a mocking way "and i am Shiro's shadow, name's Roveth." he said with a smile, while Roveth seemed to be focused mentally on other things, like there was a palpable.. something in the air, something he could feel yet not entirely see.


the girl just hummed a bit, both on the introductions and the person they were hunting for as if trying to think a moment "well, i am Maka albarn, and my partner here..." of course said partner would transform back from his scythe form, revealing a young man similar to Maka's age, white hair, shark teeth, and lazy yet focused red eyes. "Soul Eater Evans. as for your deranged maniac... no, hasn't been anyone around here like that description." he said, with a cool tone of voice despite definitely sounding a lot like Roxas. Maka nodded in agreement "yeah... that sounds like a Kishin to me... and there hasn't been one that looked like that. as for what they are, well, Kishins are bad souls, so to speak, that thrive on devouring innocent/good souls, once they go past a certain point, they become the next 'Kishin' or Demon God, the very first one is supposedly sealed away somewhere by shinigami-sama." she said in response to what a kishin was.

Shiro blinked, and looked at Maka "okay, that kind-of makes sense, but why would you consider me one?" Maka looked at Shiro a bit closer "your soul.. is warped, like it's in between a normal good soul color which is blue, and a Kishin soul, which is red, and seems to be spazzing out with it's wavelength, all i can get from it is 'Sword'..." Shiro blinked, and blinked again, before going slightly wide-eyed "i think you're seeing my Reality Marble! well, in a basic way." he said, rubbing his chin a bit "wait, so you can see souls?" Maka nodded a bit, smiling "yup! one of the few who can, if you're not from around here then you might have someone who can see another person's soul with you though." Shiro pondered a bit "anyway, i'm definitely no killer or Kishin then, i'm just a person who helps others, that has a reality marble and is a distorted individual." he said, waving it off with a laugh, while Maka and Soul just look at each other and looked at Shiro skeptically.

"Well, like they said, Shiro is a bit distorted and his Reality Marble must read like a train wreck to someone who isn't used to seeing it," Crystal scratched behind her ear. At least the rest of the group seemed to have a normal reading to them. "Nevertheless, Shiro is Shiro."

Come to think of it, Roxas did remember Crystal mentioning something before about how she could see people as they truly are through some vague sense of clairvoyance. He wondered if that was similar to seeing another person's soul. It sounded pretty similar, particularly from the way Maka had described Shiro's peculiarities.

"Well, anyway, where we all come from, we're the good guys," Riku asserted for the group. "That includes Shiro. The guy we're after though, he's nothing but bad news, even if he's not this Kishin thing, so if you should happen to encounter someone matching his description it would be wise not to underestimate him."

"Considering he let you sense his darkness so we could track it like a beacon like he wanted us to come here to find him and now we can't sense him at all he's probably lurking around somewhere watching us," Crystal added sounding a bit uneasy and annoyed over it.

"You're right," Roxas agreed. "Given what we know about him, it's very likely that he's toying with us."

"That aside, doesn't it seem likely that if these two came after Shiro out of nowhere in record time that there might be others like them who might try to attack Shiro?" Xion pointed out.

"That's... a good point," Crystal frowned. "And they might not all be so reasonable and willing to hear us out."

"Shiro's trouble magnetism seems to be even more detrimental here than it is anywhere else I've seen it kick in," Riku pointed out.

"That hardly seems like an accident," Roxas observed. "For all we know, Kefka was counting on that."
