Hey there. I'm back.

So I thought when we were going to the computer store today, I would be able to see which Doctor Who episodes they would be playing. But unfortunately, they weren't playing any Doctor Who on their computer screens today; just was some nature/animal show thing. Oh well...

I love how this person worded the situation revolving around the Doctor killing Ganger Amy. In my own mind, I felt that there was a similiar situation as described here. Plus to add, the only reason why the Doctor let the other Gangers live is because their real human counterparts had been killed one way or another, mostly by Ganger Jen. *shrugs*

I’ve seen a lot of discussion by fans asking how the Doctor could just kill the Ganger Amy when the entire episode was dedicated to proving that the gangers were in fact just like people. So I figured I’d write something about how they justified this action.

The reason that the Doctor was telling the miners that they could not kill their gangers is because the gangers were at that point autonomous. The solar storm had given them their own lives. Before that, yes, they thought they were really people and they felt themselves dying when they were “decommissioned” but they still required the human version of themselves to be piloting. They could not exist while without the pilot. When the storm happened this ceased to matter.

However, the ganger version of Amy was not autonomous. It still required Amy to be hooked up to it somehow. The Doctor said he was trying to trace the signal, that was between human Amy and ganger Amy. As long as the ganger existed human Amy was unconscious. The Doctor had to kill ganger Amy because he wanted human Amy to be conscious for the birth. He also killed the ganger Amy because he could it kill quickly and painlessly rather than the procedure of “decommissioning” that the humans usually used.

He killed the ganger Amy not because he wanted to or was vindictive but because he had to and he knew he could do it humanely. You could tell it hurt him but, as is so often often the case with the Doctor’s actions, there wasn’t really a workable alternative.

The perfect clock for a Doctor Who or Time-and-Space-Traveling themed room. :D If I had such a room, I definitely would want this clock.

Which character does my personality match the best with? Definitely the Doctor. You never know what to expect from me. I'm always curious and up for an adventure. While I am easy to get along with, I have a select few friends who I'm really close with, and they have become like a family to me - much like how the Doctor's companions are his family. Not to mention the kaleidoscope of emotions... whether it's just within one day or within a month or year, you never know what emotion lies down the road. Though strangely enough the weather usually represents my mood fairly well - something that sometimes matches the Doctor's mood changes as well, I've noticed. Hmm... yeah...

I had to put that quote from the picture above as my status for both Facebook and MySpace. I even put it in my Favorite Quotations section on Facebook, because it suits me so well. :D

Hehe... cute! I like it!

Seriously they need to get more Doctor Who merchandise available on the shelves around here. I was checking Hot Topic to see what Doctor Who merchandise they have, and they only have one shirt. ONE SHIRT! It's only available online. Seriously?! I think a lot of stores would be making some good money if they actually had some Doctor Who items available. There are fans out here in the USA who loves the series. Just let the merchandise be available in stores and you'll be seeing them flock. :)

And the next lady of the Tardis will be River Song, most likely. :)

There’s rivalry between the Harry Potter fans and the Twilight fans. And Twilight fans think they’re much cooler than the Harry Potter fans. And I’m like, I dunno why, they’d all get their a** kicked by the Doctor Who fans.

Haha...! If that actually happened, I would definitely join the Doctor Who side. :P

But what if we’re all gangers though?

Then someone better hurry up and disturb the connection, so the real me can wake up. Hopefully I'm somewhere near the Tardis... or the Doctor... when that happens. ^.^;

Ah... I loved seeing the Doctor and Ganger Doctor interact.

I still ponder on whether Ganger Doctor truly died or not... and have been trying to come up with theories on how the Ganger Doctor could potentially be part of the plot of earlier episodes. Wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff is so bloody complicated...

The most frustrating sentence a Doctor Who fan can hear.

Agreed. Especially when it's a three month or so break until the next episode.

So apparently my old French teacher loves van Gogh a lot, so my sister, who has him currently, showed him Vincent and the Doctor and he decided to have their entire class watch it.

I was totally tempted to suggest to my teacher that my class watch the Doctor Who episode "The Shakespeare Code" in my Shakespeare Film class. *laughs* But alas there isn't any time for us to watch it now, and tomorrow is the last day. *shrugs* Oh well... I guess she could always consider showing it during future classes if she felt like doing so. Definitely would be a great thing to watch as an introductory viewing experience. Ooo... maybe I should add that as a suggestion on the teacher/class evaluation thing we fill out tomorrow. :D

((on River Song)) It does develop nicely and there are huge cliff-hangers throughout the coming series, there’s a great one at the end of episode seven which is a killer, and at the start of the next sort of season as it were, episode eight, we really do learn who she is.

As the Doctor says "I'll look forward to it."

Alex Kingston is really a beautiful lady. And I like a lot of things she wears both in Doctor Who and outside of the series. I wouldn't be surprised if some Alex Kingston/River Song inspired looks make their way into my wardrobe. Amy Pond's plaid shirt style has already worked it's way into my wardrobe. *laughs*
