I am so glad I was accepted into this guild because I too want to help raise awareness of the LGBT community. I feel that everyone has a right to live without fear of discrimination, but right now, that is not the case. This is a harsh world that fears the different and the unknown. We fear each other because of stereotypes, cultural or religious backgrounds and it needs to stop. I am a good person here. I like to meet new people regardless of who they are or where they come from. My dad raised me to be non prejudiced, non racial and accepting of anyone who I meet, cause he believes that every person has something to contribute to the world's history. I agree with his beliefs and made them my own. I want to help heal the scars where they may be in the best of my abilities. Most of all, I want to make friends here. I get a great energy in this guild, so full of joy and life, but at the same time, there is some anxiety. I hope that my being here, I can learn a lot from you as much as you can learn from me.

BTW, I use a male Avatar just for fun, I like being bold and different, that is who I am. Thanks for having me here and sorry that I type too much. I type more words than I speak sometimes haha.

Hello, I was just accepted into the guild.
And I wanted to tell you guys about myself.

My name is Davian
I am an eighteen year old, bisexual female and I am about to enter college.
I have never been a part of my high school's GSA, but I always wanted to,
I was never allowed because it required a parental signature, and my parents do not support this lifestyle.
In fact, within my family, I am in the closet.
They believe that I am straight but they know that I am a supporter and that I have many friends that are homosexual and bisexual.

I have only had one girlfriend unofficially.
Well, that's how I took it.
I really loved her, but things just didn't work out.

So, anyway. I realized my sexuality about four or five years ago.
I tried to come out once with my family, but they refused to believe it.
So, I just went with the flow and agreed with them that I wasn't because my mom went haywire and we had a conversation with my dad in front of both my sisters.
That was embarrassing.
But it's like "whatever" at this point.

I have chosen to stay in the closet within my family.
And I probably always will.
My main reasons for doing so are trying to avoid another confrontation with my parents and because my sister will probably disown me, to put it simply.

But I ignore that part of my life and I accept who I am.
Outside of my home life, I am openly bisexual and I am proud to be one.
I support all orientations, straight, bi, lesbian, gay, and trans.
I support all the cause dealing with LGBT and AIDS Awareness.
I have only had one encounter with the day of silence, and that was a solemn one.
And as much as I hate being treated like I was, I will continue to do the Day of Silence.
And not just because it is my belief, but because on that day I was thanked twice by other people who weren't a part of it.

Well, I'm straight. But I truly support the rights of the lesbians and bisexuals. We're all human, and we should all be treated with equal respect. I have had a god amount of friends who think differently then me, but we've never fought over anything. I actually like to joke with my friend chris about the cute guys in school.

Am I the only who was freakin outraged when Prop. 8 (Cali) was passed?

Alrighty then.
I was just accepted into the guild today and I feel horrible for not knowing this guild was on Gaia and I've been here since 2006!
Let me tell you some things about myself.

My name is Angie.

I am a 17 year old lesbian girl and I'm going into my senior year of high school.

I have been a part of my high school's GSA since I was a Freshman and am planning to run for secretary of the club for my last year.

I've participated three times in Day of silence and twice in Transgender Day of Remembrance- both very emotional times at least for me.

I participated as much as I possibly could in the protests that my high school's GSA put together against Prop 8 to ban Gay Marriage in CA.
I can't tell you how broken-hearted we were when the prop passed- but the fight goes on.

My brothers, my mother and my aunt and a cousin know that I am homosexual and are fine with it.
But my father and his side of the family I haven't told because, well- to put it shortly, my father would send me to a convent.
So I will never tell my father's side of the family, but everyone else is cool with it- I have an aunt who is also a lesbian but I haven't seen her since I was 7.

I have bi, gay, asexual, trans-gender friends, and plenty of straight friends and I hope to make more here. :]

I'm loud, friendly, perverted at times [I'm a 17 year old, what do you expect? lol], silly, smart when I need to be, a bookworm, a guitar player and a hopeless romantic.

I've had three girlfriends all of which I've loved and am thankful for still being my friends; given how much of an a** I can be. XD

Why: This may sound really wierd but I found out that I liked girls before I really got interested in guys. I was about 10 when I had my first.. experience.. with a girl. I do seem to prefer guys over girls nowadays, but I am open to anyone. Yay for my awesome Intersexual friends!
