Currently I'm pondering the idea of intrepreting it into a Chinese Zodiac cosplay-of-sorts, specifically of my sign - the Snake. :)

Apparently one of the Snake's lucky colors is black... which works well since the Chinese dress I would wear is black... with some pink flowers on the collar.

I don't remember what the flowers look like on the dress but they could potentially represent the Snake's lucky flowers - the orchid and the cactus.

I really don't know why I'm so indecisive about the costume I'll be wearing to the event. It's not like I'm trying to impress Alex or anything. *shrugs* I just haven't been too thrilled with some of the costumes I came up with... or the ones I was excited about ended up being turned down because of not having the right items to use.

Good afternoon everyone. Just going to post here for awhile until Dad finishes making a grocery list and we head off to get whatever we need.
And yes, I'm still planning on wearing the Chinese dress. No costume changes this time around, lol.

I'm planning on doing a couple of these with my hair while wearing my costume. It's called a "snake braid". Pretty suiting since I'm thinking of my the Chinese Zodiac Snake, eh?

Sorry about not saying good-bye earlier. I got busy trying to finish what I was doing on another website that I felt I took too much time doing that to get ready for grocery shopping, heh.

In Chinese astrology the animal signs assigned by year represent what others perceive you as being or how you present yourself. It is a common misconception that the animals assigned by year are the only signs and many western descriptions of Chinese astrology draw solely on this system. In fact, there are also animal signs assigned by month (called inner animals), by day (called true animals) and hours (called secret animals).By using the BaZi Calculator, I determined what my zodiac animals were. It's the first time I've heard about the zodiac animals for month, day, and hour.Year: Earth Snake Month: Metal Horse Day: Water Rat Hour: Metal Dog

In the Chinese zodiac, the Snake is listed after the Dragon, but its place and its significance as a symbol of worship is far less than that of the Dragon. The Snake carries the meanings of malevolence, cattiness and mystery, as well as acumen, divination and the ability to distinguish herbs. In some places, people believe that a snake found in their court can bring delight. During Spring Festival, people like to paste onto their doors and windows the paper-cut 'Fu' character (happiness), combined with a snake twisting around a rabbit onto their doors and windows as a popular pattern indicating wealth. StrengthsPeople born in the year of the Snake often have a good temper and a skill at communicating but say little. They possess gracious morality and great wisdom. They are usually financially secure and do not have to worry about money. They have tremendous sympathy for others and would like to take actions to help ther fellow human beings. They are determined to accomplished their goals hate to fail. Although they look calm on the surface, they are intense and passionate. They have a rich source of inspiration and understand themselves well. They are people of great perception. Women under the sign of the snake do well in housework but are irritable. WeaknessesPeople born in the Snake Year are likely to be jealous and suspicious. They should be cautious about what they discuss with others, as it might cause them to lose friendship and opportunities. Snake people tend to overdo things. They prefer to rely on themselves and have doubts about other people's judgment. They are courteous with polite manners, but they can be headstrong. They are fickle and usually have problems in relationships or marriage problems. The spirit of the horse is recognized to be the Chinese people's ethos – making unremitting efforts to improve themselves. It is energetic, bright, warm-hearted, intelligent and able. Ancient people liked to designate an able person as 'Qianli Ma', a horse that covers a thousand li a day (one li equals 500 meters). StrengthsPeople born in the year of the horse have ingenious communicating techniques and in their community they always want to be in the limelight. They are clever, kind to others, and like to join in a venture career. Although they sometimes talk too much, they are cheerful, perceptive, talented, earthy but stubborn. They like entertainment and large crowds. They are popular among friends, active at work and refuse to be reconciled to failure, although their endeavor cannot last indefinitely. WeaknessesThey cannot bear too much constraint. However their interest may be only superficial and lacking real substance. Horse people are usually impatient and hot blooded about everything other than their daily work. They are independent and rarely listen to advice. Failure may result in pessimism. They usually have strong endurance but with bad temper. Flamboyant by nature, they are wasteful since they are not good with matters of finance due to a lack of budgetary efficiency. Some of those who are born in the horse like to move in glamorous circles while pursuing high profile careers. They tend to interfere in many things and frequently fail to finish projects of their own.
