Well, in the honor and spirit of Ayn Rand, what political party or ideology to you associate with?

I'm American, so the terminology is based on that political system. If you're from another country, terribly sorry for the inconvenience that our terminology varies.

Also, sorry to join Green and Indy, but there seems to be a limit to the number of poll options.

If you look at the profile of SocialSystem, there's a nice little political blurb.

A Radical for Capitalism is what I am. surprised domokun twisted xd heart

For this election for me though, it's the Democrat vote regardless. And here's a prophecy, they will win.

I don't have strong political opinions, and I really can't decide who I'd want to be presidnet quite yet. As long as Clinton doesn't make it, I think I'll be fine.

Anyhow, I agree with conservative ecconomics, but when it comes to social issues, I'm not real passionate about my views. My friend's dad tells me I'm Libertarian, but I'm not really sure if I agree.

It's not that I'm lazy and don't try to keep up with politics; I just don't really know what's best for everyone. For instance, I hate abortion with a passion, and I think it's a sick practice despite the circumstance. Realistically, though... I'm not sure if it should be legal or not. Part of me sort of thinks that it's up to the individual to make the "right" decision regarding abortion, just like with lying and cheating. But then again, another human life is at stake....
It sort of gets complicated for me after that, so I don't really know.

[edit] I should probably mention that I hate my U.S. Government class.

I'm Republican. However that doesn't mean I blindly follow everything any Republican says. I just tend to agree with Republicans more on the issues that matter to me. Unfortunatly, I find keeping up with poltics to be a full-time, no-pay, no-fun job, so I don't keep up with things as I probably should. With today's media, you can find an article of "news" that says one thing and another that says the opposite and finding the middle ground is just too complicated for me. So I also tend to be the pitiful American who doesn't exercise her right to vote.

I never know when the elections are, and I keep losing my card....

I favor the Republican parties, but I do not follow them blindly either. I believe one should read into the canidate's plans for office before makeing your mind on who you want to vote for. I say the one who makes the most sence to you should be the one you vote for. I am one who actaully reads into everyone's websites, their past, ect. I find the more educated you are about these short of things the better off you will be. Most Media news can be very onesided, however, I find that the Bill O'Reilly Show will tell you like it is. I've actully looked into quite a few of the stories he has done. I've also seen him shut down a few people who where trying to pull the whool over everyone's eyes. His show is very refreshing.

I refuse to be bound by a political label and am therefore independent.

I'd put myself as "independant" on the poll too, but I object to the fact that it may be confused with saying I'm affiliated with the "green" party.
