Shiro himself had some scrambled Pidgey eggs, some sausage, and a few biscuits with a glass of moomoo milk himself, not wanting to go the cereal route, though for his own pokemone he did make sure to get the right blends, especially for a growing boy like Black Blaze (Charmeleon) and Gojulas (Larvitar), while for Gaia (Gallade), Blazewing (Blaziken), Kazekiri (Pidgeot), and Night Blade (Absol), they were given a well balanced diet to give them much energy and proteins so as to help keep them in their top shape while if they could grow they would. granted Night Blade seemed to be trying (and failing) to snatch up some sausage from Shiro with his bladed horn, and pouting about it, but Shiro did at least look amused and all. of course, next to his food was definitely a bottle of aspirin, and Shiro -did- take three as he planned before he got up at least.

Once they were through with breakfast Crystal recalled all of her pokemon with the exception of Taki, even Snowy wasn't exempt on account of the storm still brewing quite ominously over the Whirl Islands. Crystal had planned for this eventuality which was why her team sported two water type pokemon to help to compensate for the fact that she really wasn't a very strong swimmer. She was going to bring Atomos out again once they were on the water, but for now Taki's mobility both in and out of the water was what Crystal was really counting on. Really, her Floatzel was there as much for morale support as he was to keep his trainer from drowning, because she really didn't like the fact that they were going to be out in this storm. In fact, they were given a good scolding by Nurse Joy as they started to leave the Pokemon Center, but the well-meaning pokemon nurse couldn't actually stop them from leaving.
Taki was as confident as ever. "Don't worry, I've got your back," he assured her.
"Just like old times," Crystal nodded in agreement. Of course, the old times she was referring to were when she had been sent to that strange other world where she had become a Cyndaquil and eventually evolved into a Quilava, but the fact that she was now human really hadn't changed anything about their dynamic in the slightest. There was a reason she always kept Taki as part of her main team.

Shiro of course would have to stay a bit longer due to both feeding a certain Pokemon he was planning to use, as well as switching out Gojulas for said Pokemon, of course, once he did walk out with Crystal, his steps were sure footed, his eyes showing that confident look despite the slight bags under his eyes and all as he held onto said poke ball, a Net-Ball in particular as night-blade followed towards the shores "surprising you plan on choosing this particular Pokemon, i figured you'd rather use Lapras." he'd offhandedly say, while Shiro shook his head a bit as he continued walking along "Lapras is usually for slightly rough waters or calm seas.. she's not capable of handling stormy weather... -he- is, however." he said, leaving the Absol to snort a bit "and you trust him despite his species's nature of being temperamental and violent?" Shiro nodded lightly "yeah... i did raise him from an egg myself, if you remember right." he said with amusement while Absol had an 'ah.' moment, and just continued on in silence and all with Shiro looking to the stormy skies with a serious gaze.

The storm seemed somehow worse as they neared the coastline, with huge threatening waves beating against the shore. Crystal would be counting on Taki and his flotation sac to keep them above the surface of the water as they tried to navigate to the island cave that would take them down into Lugia's chamber on the seafloor. However, in order to bypass the huge waves Crystal's first order of business was indeed to send out her Gastrodon, Atomos, to lend a hand.
"Okay Atomos, use Ice Beam to give us a ramp so we can push past those breakers and get out to sea!" Crystal's plan was reckless, at best, but she didn't really see a safer option at the moment. Once a section of waves was frozen into a ramp with the ice, Atomos would use the stickiness of its body to fasten herself, Crystal, and Taki together more securely to keep them all afloat on the rough waters ahead. No doubt, navigating through this storm to get to the right island was going to be tricky.

Shiro of course would recall Nightblade and then put his pokéballs into his pack safe and secure in a little case he kept for such occasions as he proceeded to toss out the Net Ball he had been holding onto, calling out his choice for this stormy weather "Ame no Arashi!" he called out, as the ball opened up, and let out a LARGE Gyarados, that immediately roared, before Shiro moved to hop on his Gyarados with a smile "Ame, been a while huh? we need to get to Whirl Islands please~" he said, with the petting of the scales, the Gyarados nodded "of course, partner." he said in another roar, before they'd set off to follow Crystal out, Gyarados using his large body to carve its own path through the rough waters and all.

It was difficult, but by no means impossible to navigate through this seemingly impassable storm in the Whirl Islands and fortunately for Crystal and Shiro they actually had prior experience traveling through the Johto Region so they knew which island in particular was the one leading down into Lugia's den so that was making things a little bit easier at least. Shiro clearly had the advantage for traversing the rough waters by riding on a large water type pokemon such as the mighty Gyarados, but Crystal had faith in Taki and Atomos and the two water types were doing an admirable job of keeping their trainer afloat until they finally reached the island. Then, once they were back on solid ground, Crystal recalled Atomos while keeping Taki by her side so that they could navigate into the cave leading deeper into Lugia's den on the seafloor. Crystal wasn't going to wait for Shiro outside in this storm, however, and instead waited for him to catch up once she and Taki were safely inside the cavern.
"We're getting close now so we'd better stay on our guard," Crystal heaved a nervous sigh. She really didn't like being around these turbulent waters given that she really wasn't too great a swimmer and she would have drowned for sure without the aid of her water type pokemon. As much as she admired Lugia, the Whirl Islands were one of the few areas in Johto that made Crystal truly uneasy.
"I'm sure everything will be fine," Taki assured her. He'd seen her get nervous like this before, although it made a lot more sense back when she was still a Quilava being as fire type pokemon also just generally don't do well around so much water.
"Yeah, I know," Crystal nodded. "Shiro should have no trouble getting this situation under control, but it still makes me nervous being out here in a storm like this."

Shiro of course would be in about 5 minutes later, shaking off some of the rain from his hair as he had landed on the beach and recalled ame with a quick thanks, before moving on to at least get into the cavern before deciding to call out Nightblade, who looked a bit miffed in general "okay, that was rough, even the pokeballs were rocking out there." he said with a grumble, while Shiro sweatdropped at his Absol partner before shaking his head lightly "well, at least we're inside now instead of still braving the weather outside." he said pointedly, causing the absol to sweatdrop "good point." he said in response, before Shiro turned to look at Crystal lightly "well, looks like we're ready if you are." he said, smiling a bit, sure enough, once they got going, he'd follow along.
