Silver Sage-General Sorry was reading. OOooo I luv math. Hmm..well you can simplify it by getting rid of the parentheses and taking the 4 out of the bottom of the right fraction. so you get: 3/x = 9/2x + 4. After that you multiply both sides by x/1. x/1(3/x) = (9/2x + 4 )x/1 3 = 9/2 + 4x. Subtract the fraction from both sides and solve. And that's all. ^^
3 = 9/2 + 4x
3 = 4.5 + 4x
3 - 4.5 = 4x
-1 1/2 = 4x
-1.5/4 = x
-0.375 = x

you're not following the order of operations. It should NOT be a decimal.

I am dyslexic, i can't deal in fractions so i transfer to decimals. Otherwise, I read the numbers backwards.
