Kam followed his master out of the gate from Hell's Cradle, not bothering to wipe the blood from him for now since it seemed to please Gurzil at the moment. He took a long look at their path and resigned himself to following his master into a place worse than hell in his opinion.

Home was so much better...

Oh well.

He moved along with the others, his gray eyes straying to his master from time to time. Admittedly, he'd hoped for a bit more attention, but he knew full well that his master would only give his attentions when he was ready. Right now Gurzil's mind was on his task and the path to the Re base.

Hours later, they approached a good spot for a campsite and Kam moved to set it up. They did have to move at the pace of the trail rations, after all. Couldn't have them dropping dead from neglect.

He set up Gurzil's massive tent first then set himself to taking care of the rations. Only when all of that was done did he finally head back to Gurzil's tent to see what else he was needed for. He decided to start with a bath for his master, using a touch of Incubus magic to conjure the tub filled with hot water then waited beside it with his coat tossed to one side.

At this rate, though, it would take them at least another two days to get to the base. That annoyed him. He hated this side of the gate...

Gurzil

Gurzil allowed his slave to go about his work. While he himself focused on his map once again. He had paid a great deal for this map, as it was the most recent record of the worlds current state. His golden eyes were memorizing each and every inch of the map. The demon might have been mad, but he was not short of intelligence.

The smell of steaming water drew the psychotic demon from his thoughts. Turning he found a large tub steaming with gorgeously clear water. Kam was standing beside it, radiating hatred for this world. Gurzil gave a heavy sigh with a shake of his head. Then he made his way to the tub, stripping himself of clothing. " Cheer up Kammy, I will show you the joys of this world yet." Gurzil said this with that Cheshire grin.
After a moment he leaned back, submerging himself up to his chin. He closed his eyes feeling the relief the waters offered his sore muscles. " Tell me, what are you thoughts on our current assignment?" He asked this sounding more sane than usual. This being a sign that they should probably only rest for half the night, he was growing bored.

Kam admired every inch of his master before he got into the water and had to shake his thoughts loose as he collected a sponge and soap then knelt beside the tub and started washing Gurzil's back without having to be told. His hair was next, with a soothing but sensual massage to the scalp, of course.

"Sounds pretty simple to me. Collect the wayward slave, return him to Hell's Cradle for his punishment. Kill him if necessary but bring back proof of his death. The hybrid was a fool, if you ask me, though. Killing his father like that... he had a good thing going with Deluge and he had to go and spoil it," he said softly as he worked, his voice laced with disgust over Dancer's actions.

The low light in the tent was soothing, he thought, so much better than outside but nowhere near as wonderful as back at home. But in the low light, the blood in his hair nearly sparkled.

He would have said more, but he recognized that mood in his master and concentrated on getting him clean. Once he'd rinsed his master's hair, he moved over to make sure the bedding was ready then returned to offer a towel.

He couldn't help a soft sigh, though, as his master got out of the tub, "I do hope we can get back home soon, though... This place doesn't even smell right. But I do have to admit that you look fantastic anywhere, master..." he finished that with a hint of a growl to his voice.

After all the teasing before they left, Kam was nearing his limits. But he held himself back and simply gave another soft sigh and moved to collect his master's discarded clothing, "Would you like me to send over one of the trail rations before you go to sleep or some of those snacks?" he asked as he worked.

Gurzil

Gurzil exited the bath with no desire to dress. Walking past Kam to drag one glowing white finger tip down his arm, leave a faint streak of burnt flesh. " Then we shall make it smell right." He gave a twisted chuckle, taking a seat on a cushioned chair. The faint lighting casting an orange glow over his otherwise ivory skin. Shadows cast over his skin by his well toned form. Water slowly escaping from his hair, to form tiny stream down his body.
Kam's thoughts had been what he expected them to be. There wasn't much to it like the man said. It was a simple snatch and bag, but Gurzil couldn't shake this feeling. " As long as the whelp doesn't try pulling a Spartacus." Memories of that still annoyed him to no end. The damned Threshian was an assignment of his, and the damn human had risen an army of slaves to combat roman. Gurzil had had plans for the Romans, and dying at the hands of slaves was not it. In the end the Romans slaughtered the rebels, and then fell later to it's own corruption.

Gurzil perked up at the mention of snacks. His golden eyes practically glowing with excitement. " I have an idea, and it only some what involves feeding" The demon waved the slave to him, laughing impishly.

One timeskip coming right up! Aaaannnd Done! Enjoy!

Kam gave a small teasing half-grin as he moved over to kneel in front of his master, having given a small hiss at the pain of that finger burning a light trail over his arm, "No one would dare pull such a stunt on you twice, master..." he purred softly as he leaned in to lick the water trickling over Gurzil's chest, more than grateful to be able to use the skills that had drawn the warrior demon to keep him in the first place.

The sounds that followed sounded more like a torture session than something Kam should have been looking forward to. But, by the time Gurzil was finished with him, his master was wearing that Cheshire grin of his and required another bath while Kam would need a little bit of recovery time and would carry a few new scars he'd be proud to show off. They were also covered in sweat, blood, and bodily fluids.

The slave was also still handcuffed with the chain between his wrists staked into the ground above his head, not that he was complaining. He just didn't know if Gurzil was through with him or not. He never could tell until his master actually said something.

As he gasped for air, he had to grin, "I'll admit that this place might have a few benefits..." he said softly, his voice carrying a growling demonic purr of pure satisfaction...

Gurzil

Gurzil bit into Kam's chest, leaving just one last potential scar. " You will grow to love this world." A cackle escaped his pale lips, as he stood from the ground. His right hand gripping the stake, and chain in one. He pulled the stake, along with the man attached to them from the ground, and to his feet.
" Bath with me, then we shall continue on our way."

The demonic soldier rose from the tub, and dressed himself. He was not in need of a slave as most seemed to be among his kin, lazy puddles of puss. Gurzil preferred to dress himself, though didn't mind help out of them... on occasion.
" Dress yourself quickly, I am eager to be rid of this road.........." He trailed off as if staring off into the distance. Then with a smirk he pulled his white tunic over his head. His traveling slacks made from an Albino Stag were next to be pulled onto his form. He lifted a belt of obsidian encrusted steel plates, ending was a buckle in the likeness of a Serpent devouring it's own tail, encircling The eye of Amun.
Last he pulled on his simple white leathered, steel plated, hobnailed boots. Gurzil carried no weapons on his person. Preferring the use of his creative mind proved to be far more entertaining.
" Pack up once your done. I'm feeling peckish......" He walked from the tent with his "Hmmm..." look pulling his mouth to one side. His left arm was wrapped around his abdomen, palm up. His right elbow rested in the upturned palm, with his index finger tapping his chin. He remained like this all the way out to the stupefied slaves.

Kam had enjoyed the second bath almost as much as what had come before it. But they both managed to get cleaned up and Gurzil left the poor slave panting in the tub as he dressed and left. But Kam got himself up and dried off with a touch of flames, inherited from his father, then used the magic that came from his mixed blood to dress himself in another pair of leather pants that had nice cutouts that would show off the marks along the lower half of his body then added another trenchcoat with no back that buckled at his waist and flared out around his legs when he walked. Adding his suede boots and running his fingers through his hair to restore it to some kind of order.

That was done. And he had to grin over it as a pleased shiver ran through him. He was sore, but only in the best ways.

He refocused and got to work.

Packing down didn't take him long, thankfully, and he waited beside the transport for his master to come back from his meal after getting the other trail rations secured.

While he wasn't about to underestimate this place, he was being to find a few benefits to it, but it would take him a bit longer to actually like it.

He moved to the front of the transport and looked out over their path ahead, silently hoping that the rations would make it to the base since he didn't think his master wanted to wait the next two days to get there. He guessed they'd push on through the night, cutting out at least half a day for the trip.

Fine with him. The sooner they could find the whelp, the sooner they could get back home.

Gurzil

" COME ON SLOW POKE!" Came the booming call from a quarter mile up the road. The demon lord had ripped an arm from one of the slaves, charring it within his hellish hands. He was even nice enough to cauterize the stump. Then had begun on his way without a word to his servant.
Gurzil had no plans on the rations living to see the base. Thus far he was only planning on keeping one alive, the survivor of the street brawl. The others were snacks, and entertainment. Mostly he wanted to see how long they would on a no stop march. Watching people die slowly, while they screamed within their heads for their bodies to stop, only to go unheard. He could feel their fear, sorrow, pain and most of all their hatred for him. The emotions heightened his temperature high enough, that the water still on his skin began to vaporize in wisps of ghostly smoke. His head titled back to let loose a roar to rival the horns of any army. Then he took off at an even running pace, shaking the ground beneath him. He would not give anymore orders, Either the dogs followed and survived, or they died. Gurzil held no attachment for any of them, save for Kam.....he was far too useful and entertaining to give up, that and Gurzil had already fed. If Kam was to die, then Gurzil was going to eat him whole.

That's okay, I timeskipped that bit. From here, we can either move on to the Re Base with a thread of our own or bounce between this one and there. Up to you.

Kam gave a soft chuckle then moved to keep up with his master, knowing that the transport with them would keep up as well. But they kept moving. They did lose three of the slaves along the way, Kam simply cutting their bodies loose on the run, knowing that the survivors would make better meals for his master than those that didn't make it.

But, in the end, they made it to the edge of the Re base lands and Kam broke off from his master's run to set up a campsite for them. He'd been taught very well, after all.

From here, he knew his master would study what he needed to, using Kam wherever he wished to. Otherwise, Kam would stay with the camp, keeping it hidden and taking care of his master's needs whenever he returned.

From here, they'd scout the camp and find out what they needed to about Dancer before his master had a plan for accomplishing the job he'd been hired for. Then they'd head home...

Gurzil

Gurzil was standing atop a bolder, looking out towards the Re's encampment. The re's resources were vast indeed. From this distance he could barely count the individual tents of the soldiers. The Demon warrior was rather impressed by the numbers they held, somewhere in the tens of thousands, and that was just the soldiers.
" Hmmmm....." He began to contemplate his actions for this one. From the smell on the wind, and the auras that radiated from the Re told of demonic presence. With a cackle he flipped back off the bolder, landing with a slight quake of the ground. " It smells of home...HAHAHA!" Usually he would send Kam in to gather information on his own. However this time he wished for a different course of actions.
Gurzil stepped into his Tent to find Kam straightening things up. The silver haired man paused a moment to watch the slave in his work. He found it entertaining to see how long it took his slave to realize he was there. Guess it's true what they say about small quakes, " After awhile you stop noticing them". So Gurzil slowly made his way across the tent, with an expert skill. As his foot came down, he would roll it along the outer edge of his foot, from heel to toe. Though Gurzil grew bored of stealth rather quickly, so he just let out a low growl rumbling up from his chest. Then pounced on the slave.
Kam was pinned to the ground, Gurzil peering down at him with that Cheshire grin, his fang filled mouth shining like the many teeth of a saw blade. " We all go......" His face grew closer to Kam's as he spoke. " We find their Ruler, and I shall interrogate them HAHAHaaa....." He shook his head, and got up chuckling sadistically. " Come on we see what Carnage can be had.....and Fear to be harvested..." He chattered on as he walked from the tent, only to pop his head back in. " Well pull yourself off the ground Mr' Lazypants." He gave a cackle as he vanished outside once more.

Kam had known it the instant Gurzil had entered the tent but had waited for what his master would do if he ignored him. Sometimes it annoyed his master, sometimes it turned into something delightful. This time, he got pounced onto his back.

Whatever Gurzil had burned into his back this time still stung even though it was almost fully healed. While he liked that, he found that the new plan worried him a great deal. Gurzil rarely took the direct route. Especially since that stuff in Rome happened. Then there was Alexander and his carnage. Gurxil had almost loved that human. Then he'd killed one of his master's former slaves during a drunken brawl.

His master had avoided the direct route ever since. Doing proper scouting, working to increase the fear through subterfuge and a few well placed body parts, a few disappearances that provided a wealth of information... The direct route could get them both hurt. And not in the good way.

"Master? Are you sure about the direct route? You told me to caution you if you ever brought it up again, said you didn't like the direct route until they were properly tenderized," he reminded his master as he got to his feet but realized that he'd spoken too late. Gurzil was already gone.

Crap... Sometimes, being Gurzil's slave was like being a slave to a toddler with the attention span of a kitten in a room full of cat toys...

He gave a heavy sigh and got back to his feet then got to work undoing everything he'd been doing. Everything got packed back down and he put his trenchcoat back on.

While he loved the fact that Gurzil loved burning designs into his back, he almost wished they would stay and scar properly. He wanted something from his master that would be permanent. Unfortunately, his healing abilities were proving to be problematic on that score. Even his scars didn't stay around for more than a decade. At first, Gurzil had gone into a rage that Kam healed that well. Then he'd gone thoughtful and finally saw his slave's skin as a blank canvas to work his will into whenever he felt like it.

But he'd been taking a great deal of interest in Kam's back lately, always burning a new design into his back that he wasn't allowed to look at but still had to show off. Hence the reason for no back to his trenchcoat right now.

He shook his head to clear it and got the trail rations moving to finish loading everything into the transport then headed off to follow his master into certain disaster.

Ah well, at least he was guaranteed a quick death if anything happened to Gurzil. The collar Gurzil had secured around his neck when his father had delivered him could only be removed by his master's hand. And it would sever his head from his body in the event that Gurzil died. That had been... what... a thousand years ago? Maybe more? Had to have been more if he remembered Alexander...

Oh well, they had been wonderful years. He only wished he knew what Gurzil had done with his heart when he'd given it to him. With that one act, he'd bound himself permanently to the insane demon. His soul literally bound to Gurzil in the most profound and wonderful ways.

And again, he was wandering... What the hell?

He refocused on finding where his master had gone to this time...

Gurzil

Gurzil was standing atop the transport with his arms crossed. " Your warning is acknowledged, but is invalid." His right hand cms crossed over his chest. ame to point at the Re. " They are already tenderized....Yes lots of soldiers.....But they are having moral problems...... My guess, is That Rin and Gen are gone." Gurzil was a Demon of the Marching Hordes, In ancient times he was worshiped as a God of War. So when it came to reading armies, he was no stranger.
What he had seen of the early morning encampment, was a lack of duty. Most of the sentries were either sleeping on the job, or arriving an hour late for the shift change. Then there was the random roaming of the soldiers, and even some of the slaves. This place was in a worst state than Rome in it's final days. "army's Moral is severely lacking, and i suspect that their loyalty has yet to be solidified By the new ruler." Gurzil hopped down to stand in front of his slave. " Fine..... you have an hour to get in and out. If My guesses are anywhere near close, then we go straight in." He patted Kam on the head. The hybrid was worried about the safeness of his Master's current plan of action. So The Master decided it was better to put his worries to ease, by letting him scout it out. " Find as much as you can Kammy.... I sleepy." With that he stretch into a back flop. His eyes closed, and he was out cold in the transport.

Kam actually gave a soft sigh of relief as Gurzil laid back to take a nap and let him scout a bit. Yes, he'd have to be quick, but he could do it. His master had trained him very well, after all. He took off running on silent feet...

He returned after the hour was over, his breathing steady even though he was sweating a bit, making his back sting again. He dropped to his knees at Gurzil's feet then slowly ran his cheek up the outside of his master's leg to his shoulder, knowing he'd be awake by the time he got that far. It was the easiest way to wake his master up. Without getting those claws thrust into his side. That one had hurt.

"There's a problem Master... Seems the higher ups acted more than once. They hired the dragon to go after Dancer. Back door to the new leader's house busted in and the slave gone. The soldiers at the center of the base are starting to rally around Ren and Gin's daughter Lily," he considered the next bit of information carefully before giving it to his master, needing to get the words out just right.

"They're also terrified. Seems Ren and Gin adopted a real nutcase as well. Makes you on a bad day look sane. Name's Esabel. She's got a sister who isn't insane but is even more dangerous. Esabel has a habit of making random people explode for the fun of it. The army out here is worried that they'll set Esabel loose on them and are considering running. Fear is keeping them here.

"Malphas is in there, but is surrounded by enough potential firepower to blow up the planet. We'll need to lure them out to get to him without losing the odds," he finished, knowing his master would be able to read the full situation like a book.

The fact that the demons had sent two people after one rogue slave was enough to make Kam worry. His master was the best. So why hire someone else to take Dancer back? Especially a dragon like Raphael Goldwing, the best bounty hunter in the world right now?

"They went behind your back and hired another, master... Why would they risk doing that for one slave?" he asked after a moment, a frown on his face that showed his confusion over the whole thing.

It was one slave. Yes, he'd killed his master and father. But Deluge was a douche anyway. Nothing like Gurzil. But to send out his master then hire the bounty hunter as well for the same target... It was just one slave... What was so important about one slave? What hadn't they been told?

Gurzil

Gurzil had indeed awoken, though it was to the sounds of foot steps. The demon laid perfectly still as he waited to see to whom the steps belonged. He lower his guard slightly at the feeling of a cheek on his thigh, moving upwards. At first he wrapped his left arm around his slave happily. However, as Kam proceeded to supply him with information, his grip slowly tightened around the slaves waist, his palms growing hot.
His right hand snaked across his broad chest to grip Kam by the throat. Then lifted him up by his neck, as he slide from the Transport to land on his feet. He held kam in the air, high above his head, his claws digging into his skin.
The silver haired man glared up at the slave, with eyes blazing with the fires of hell. Steam rose in foggy clouds from his body. " Then I guess it is time I remind you....." He pulled Kam down so that he was eye level with his Master. " Whom, and what I am" He finished his low base growl, and the turned. His right hand swung out to the side to hurl the hybrid into on of the " Rations", smashing the stupid mortal's skull into the wheel of the Transport.
" Get your arse back up.... We leave now." His demonic spiritual pressure laid heavily over the small camp. The remaining rations began to rock themselves, muttering prayers to a god whom didn't exist. This only succeeded in being rewarded with a glare that could, and has killed. He could feel their fear, and the anger towards him, and the ones who had enslaved them.
Gurzil began to laugh hysterically. His lips were pulled into a grin that split his head nearly in two, a hint at the transformation just below the skin. The eyes however, had taken on the complete golden ocular aspect of his true form.
With that maniacal laugh still escaping his twisted lips. He clawed his way into the slaves minds, twisting them with suggestions of rage. In a matter of seconds they had gone from rocking in a corner, to standing on their feet, ready for war. Gurzil was not fine with, just ready for war. No. far from it.
He took his meddling a step further, driving them into complete chaotic, madness. Next he turned his control on Kam, feeling him with rage. Though he did not even so much as receive his Master's satanic glare.
Gurzil slipped the suggestion of running to the Re, and attacking all whom they come upon. Before he sent them on their way, he past his energy into them. This would not be as effective as his own Aura, but it would build solid base for his arrival. Once done the slaves broke their chains, and charged with all fears being replaced by anger. All fears, but one. The fear of what he Would do to them if they so much as showed they intent on resisting his command. Then he too began a medium paced walk, while a crown of horns began to rise from his head.
