Jack Atlas is the master of faster when it comes to turbo dueling, but he is also a thief and a traitor. Yusei Fudo who is in the Satellite sector is determined to get to the city and get his revenge on Jack for what he did to everyone. In order to do that, Yusei needed a faster chip for his runner, which he obtained via a trap for Rally. Yusei duels the officer who set the trap and beats him like a drum thus earning his freedom at least for a little while.

Yusei has a plan to escape the satellite sector and that is drive through a maintenance hatch in the sewers when New Domino City checks for recyclables or something like that. However, some bully from the recycling plant challenges Yusei to a duel with Yusei's escape runner on the line. Thankfully, Yusei won the duel and thus the plan to escape is still on schedule.

The plan to escape to New Domino City was underway and Yusei headed for the disposal hatch on his runner with all the speed his runner could handle. Officer Trudge got in the way and dueled Yusei, but was unable to stop our hero. As a result of his failure, Trudge was swept away with the trash and Yusei has a reunion with his rival Jack.

After a tour of new Domino City that Yusei clearly wasn't interested in, Jack Atlas takes Yusei to the Kaiba Dome where the two duelists face off to see who gets to keep Stardust dragon. If Yusei should lose this duel, he gets thrown into the facility in addition to losing his stardust dragon.

As the duel intensifies, a giant red dragon appeared that neither Jack or Yusei summoned and their arms began to burn for a mark of sorts has appeared on them. Jack has some knowledge of this mark, but very little. Rex Goodwin who had been looking after Jack, has been scheming to see this dragon. The duel ended in a tie, and now Yusei is going to be going to the facility although he did win his stardust dragon card back.

At the facility, Yusei meets an old man named Yanagi who had been to the facility before and apparently loves it there. He has collected what he calls a treasure deck, but unfortunately doesn't know how to use it. He loses in an embarrassing fashion against the so-called boss of the facility known as Bolt Tanner. Yusei asks to borrow Yanagi's treasure deck because Yusei believes that he has found the deck's true value and that it really is a treasure deck.

Without even attacking once, Yusei wins the duel using Yanagi's treasure deck thus proving that its worthy of a professional. Meanwhile, Goodwin explains to Jack what the mark on the arms means and in short, Jack and Yusei will eventually have to save the world.

Rex offers Yusei a full pardon if Yusei helps him out with this Crimson dragon business, but Yusei doesn't want any part of it. All Yusei wants is his match with Jack. After a victory over Hunter Pace, Jack swears that the next time he faces Yusei in battle that he is going to prove that he is champ and Yusei is chump.

Yusei gets put into the Hive where his new roomate is planning to escape and he is forced to duel Armstrong because Armstrong is abusing his authority not to mention cheating during the duel too.

With a little help from his roomate, Yusei was able to win the duel. And thanks to Goodwin showing up, Armstrong got fired from being the chief of the facility. As a bonus, all of the inmates that were treated unfairly by Armstrong will be released soon as well.

Blister sets Yusei up with a fake ID and passcodes to get the runner out of the impound, but as soon as Yusei retrieves the runner, Trudge is there waiting. Trudge forces Yusei to duel and Blister is ready to help Yusei out once again.

Yusei wins the duel against Trudge, but crashes into a pile of garbage and is rendered unconscious. 2 twin children notice him and are prepared to help.

Yusei comes to with amnesia, but thanks to the male twin known as Leo and a duel, Yusei was able to remember to who he was and left the tops during the night. General director Lazar sends Officer Trudge packing, thus saving Yusei. But Lazar also gives Yusei an invitation to the fortune cup, which was a replica of the invite that female twin from the tops Luna got. Lazar also said that should Yusei refuse to participate in the fortune cup, then Goodwin is going to lock up Yusei's friends.

All the signers have been given an invitation to the fortune cup for Goodwin hopes to see the Crimson Dragon once more. As far as we know, the signers are Jack Atlas, Yusei Fudo, Luna from the tops, and The Black rose witch.
Blister has gone to the satellite to check on Yusei's friends.

To be certain of who the signers are, Goodwin had his chief scientist set up a machine that will pinpoint them. Leo took on a duelist named Grieger and lost. And the scientist found where Luna was hiding.
