[TD: 2/18/22] Bobby Roode VS. Samoa Joe [Non-Title Match]

Ladies and Gentleman, your maaaaaaain event for the evening! the CWF World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode going head to head with the Samoan Submission Machine Samoa Joe! whoa, that was a mouth full! who will prevail!?!?!? Roode, Joe, next!

 

[Submission Machine]

Backstage, Samoa Joe is seen making his way to the ring, wearing his signature black and green entrance shirt with his name on it, and carrying his signature white towel, over his shoulder. He has the face of a competitor, a real fierce competitor, ready to head down to the ring and kick some a**. He passes several people in the hallway towards the entrance curtains, and the people look scared of him. He ignores them, and he makes his way to the curtains before his music plays.

Samoa Joe's intimidating theme song begins to play in the arena, with it's slow, start. The audience would rise to their feet in cheers, knowing the history of this wrestler about to make his way to the ring. He walks out from backstage, the lights shining green throughout the arena with some yellow too. He walks down the ramp with a tank top shirt on and his normal wrestling gear on as well, he stops after walking out a good distance, giving the audience a big look and looks towards the ring and walks down the ramp, being introduced with a very, very gamed expression on his face feeling the need to wanna CHOKE somebody OUT...



"The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from the ISLE of SAMOA, weighing in at 282 pounds, he is the Samoan Submission Machine.... SAMOOOOOAAAA... JOE!"

Joe makes his way down the ramp, to the steps. He walks up them, getting on the apron. he looks at the audience before getting in the ring, holding his towel on his neck so it doesn't fall off. He walks to the opposite ropes and does his raise of the arm taunt. He takes his shirt off, and tosses it and his towel outside of the ring. He then glares at his opponent/waits for him to come out.

 

[BOBBY R00DE]

The beginning of the instrumental theme of Bobby Roode, Off the Chain (Instrumental) would play in the arena as the lights dim to a totally dark, black where nothing can be seen, until they lighten up some at the top of the ramp to show Bobby Roode, the IT FACTOR of Pro wrestling, turned around, with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, and wearing a blue entrance shirt. When the music changes its tone, he turns around and begins making his way down to the ring and is introduced, to a mostly booing crowd with some cheers.



Announcer:"And his opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 240 pounds, he is the CWF World Heavyweight Champion, BOBBY... ROOOOODDE!"



Bobby would slowly make his way down the ramp, at his own slow pace, as he was totally in his zone, ignoring the pesky fans at ring side, not letting them or anything else get in his head, the only thing on his mind was winning because he is a winner. He eventually makes it to the ring, where he walks up the steps slowly, walking down the apron and slowly enters the ring. The lights are still fairly dim, but lightened up some so he and the ring were more visible, as he walks to the farthest corner, and climbs onto the second rope and spreads his arms and looks straight up into the rafters, and closes his eyes in his signature taunt, as his neat theme song continues in the background, and after a few more seconds he gets down and takes his robe off, gently setting it outside of the ring, for someone at ring side to appropriately take care of. The lights would light up to their normal brightness, and Bobby Roode's theme slowly fades out, and he waits for what was next with the same focused look on his face.

 

[Submission Machine]

This was Samoa Joe's first appearance since losing the CWF championship at Vengeance. He was in no mood, and was ready to take it all out on the World Heavyweight champion tonight and earn his way back into the title picture. He paces around during Roodes long entrance, waiting for the bell.  

[BOBBY R00DE]

Bobby Roode hands his championship to the official, who immediately sets it outside the ring, showing that it is NOT on the line tonight. He then calls for the bell, and Roode stretches and was ready to begin with Samoa Joe.  

[Submission Machine]

Samoa Joe would hear the bell, and immediately charges at Roode attempting an aggressive lock up!  

[BOBBY R00DE]

Roode was charged at, and immediatly ducks between the middle and top ropes, and the referee stops Joe from getting his hands on Roode there!  

[Submission Machine]

Joe was stopped by the referee and he backs up, grinning and yelling COME ON!!!  

[BOBBY R00DE]

Roode gets back in and circles around, closing in on Joe, measuring him up.  

[Submission Machine]

Joe would allow Roode back in and he circles with him, again offering a lockup with him.  

[BOBBY R00DE]

Roode locks up with Samoa Joe this time... but quickly turns it into a side headlock to avoid getting shoved anywhere.  

[Submission Machine]

Joe was placed into a headlock, and for the moment stays in it... but then backs himself and Roode up and then attempts to push him to the far ropes.  

[BOBBY R00DE]

Roode was pushed off, and he hits the ropes with speed coming back towards Joe!  

[Submission Machine]

Joe attempts to step forward and deck Roode with a standing shoulder block!  

[BOBBY R00DE]

Roode was taken down with the shoulder block and quickly scrambles back up to his feet!
