ok so one of our family friends has a foregn exchange student they had one before and they loved her and they got another because shawna (the daughter) is 16 and they live way out in the boonies and her older sister Sharla moved out and so its usually just shawna and her mom and so they got another foregn exchange student as a friend for shawna well they come from a high class family so shawna is used to getting what she wants and pretty much bieng a princess. so this last two weeks they all went to hawaii and they brought Anna-lena (the exchange student) well while they were there shawna was bieng a b***H i guess(she does that alot)and they were bieng mean to Anna!! they said RIGHT IN FROUNT OF HER that they didnt want a foregn exchange student it was a mistake. she cried all day at school!! the only one that wasnt bieng mean to her was shawnas grandpa...and so yea isnt that sad i mean Anna is like one of the sweetet people in the world!! and they were mean to her...and no it wasnt a mistake they wanted one

well she moved out of the house and is now somewhere in eugene and she is going to be there for a few weeks then come back to our town BUT with a different host family...

A friend of my mom's use to have foreign exchange students. She had two realy quite, nice chinese girls, after that she ended up with I think a muslim guy, well, someone who came from a country where woman's rights are a litle farther behind us. Anyway this guy sat on his butt all day and expected her to do everything for him. Cook, clean, and he could never lift a finger to help. After that she stopped getting foreign exchange students. I think it can be frustrating, when your cultures are so different. What one person perceives as rude another person sees as normal.
