What kind of genre do you guys like? You can list multiple ones, of course. And favorite bands?

My favorite genre is Metal--subgenre is symphonic metal.

My favorite band of all time :B is Nightwish, followed by Within Temptation and Aoineko (they're not metal, though).

Holy cow... That's about what I was going to say. Except I'm not a big fan of Nightwish. The lead singer has a great voice, and the music is good, but I think her voice is too operatic for that style. But that;s just my oppinion. My brother is nuts over Nightwish lol.

I have so many favorite genres it's sad. I like Symphonic Metal, I like some Gothrock (but most of it stinks), same with J-pop. I like quite a bit of classical music, as well as some Celtic stuff. I also listen to lots of movie soundtracks and videogame soundtracks. My favorite videogame soundtrack would have to be Chrono Cross.

My favorite bands are Within Temptation, Evanescence, The Black Mages, and Gackt Camui (not a band, I know).

Umm, almost all kinds of Music, actually it's just easier to tell you what kinds i don't like! lol...

*Ahem* it's not many, but here:
Speed, Death and/or just Metal music in General (it's just a bunch of illegible shouting anyway)
Rap in any and almost all forms (with VERY few exceptions,)
and Gospel if all sorts, (not a Chrisitan, Doesn't mean i have to hate it, it's just when i listen to it it's the same song, different beat and/or rhythem, AND it makes me feel guilty for not being a christian...)

There's only one band that I loathe completly and that is Rascal Flatts.

Otherwise, I don't hate bands or genres, just the songs when I hear them over and over again on the radio.

My favorite band currently is Muse, and my second is Big & Rich. They're on two different sides of the spectrum, but I recommend both.

I give up on trying to stick to a specific genre. A lot of it seems the same to me.

I like alternitve rock. Aerosmith I guess?
I've recently got into techno and a little deeper into J-pop.

And I love random songs. Like "The Song That Never Ends" on that old Lamp Chops show.

I'll whistle theme songs and carols even if its out of season.

But alsa, there is music I can not stand. The genaric rap and country. Rarely can I fine on of those I actually like.
