There hasn't been anything new posted here, so I thought I might start something. *ahem*

Hey everyone, I thought this might be an interesting (if not basic) topic. Who is/are your favorite artist(s)? A link to some of their work would be very much appreciated. 3nodding

Salvador Dali - It's a little on the obvious side, but he's a true madman and proud of it. Even if his work is astoundingly weird and strange, I find it wonderful and beautifully painted. He works a lot with oil, which I find pretty hard to use. If you ever get to see his animated masterpiece collaborated with Walt Disney, "Destino," you should watch it like five times. It's that good.

Shilin - One of my favorite "anime-style" dA artists. She changed my perception on how to CG in general. Has two "Daily Deviation" features.

Hyung-Tae Kim - Absolutely amazing anime-styled artist. His work is so intricate and detailed, he actually draws each and every individual clothes article and item separately on another paper to ensure that he has his concept down. He also would spend so much time drawing out an entire detailed skirt, only to erase one-half of it to draw someone else over it! D:

Pu-sama - Once was a dA artist, now runs a seemingly forever closed art website. I found her uploads though. XD She's probably one of my favorite Hellsing fanartists, but her originals are very much amazing.

Ok, so I had this great response typed out with, like, 5 artists and why they're my favs and should be checked out. Then Gaia decided to go wonky and make my whole response disappear.

I'm pissed. ¬_¬

So I'll try to retype it later when I'm less heated about the situation.

hmmm I like this topic^^
I'll say i have a few artist that I look up to.
and to be honest one is my BROTHER^^ he looks to the same ppl I do^^

Masanori Morita (Rokudenashi Blues, Rookies).-_-_-_-_-_-) User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.(-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
His art is very realistic and even though the Anime is old I think its cool><
He drew this for the ONE PIECE 10th ANNIVERSARY^^

Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto)
other than the fact that I like the his art style I love NARUTO and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN. His and his brother's ideas in both mangas(naruto and 666-O-parts hunter) are quite original.User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

takeshi koike( samurai champloo, afro samurai...)
I LOVE this guy>< his art is so loosen and the way in which they all move is very realistic and cool><User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

My favorite manga artist would have to be either Arina Tanemura or Natsuki Takaya. Tanemura -Sensei is the creator of manga such as Full Moon Wo Sagashite and Gentleman's Alliance Cross. And Takaya-Sensei is the creator of one of my current obsessions, Fruits Basket. If you can't tell already, I prefer girly, shoujo stories to gory, violent ones. ut I also like Inuyasha and Naruto!

I have five favorite artists:

1. Hiromu Arakawa- Fullmetal Alchemist. Not only is she amazing at art, but her story line for FMA is way too awesome for words.
2. Clamp- I don't know who thier main artist(s) is/are, but who ever it is is really good!
3.Takeshi Obata- The only artist from shonen jump that I can truly apriciate. I really appriciate him for doind Death Note, since it is only one of the most amazing mangas that there is, non doubt.
4. Daisuke Sato- My second favorite artist. He does this amazing manga called Highschool of the Dead. It is a horror manga about zombies, and the art is so good. He could really do a lot with his art!
5. Madeleine Rosca- My favorite artist. She is from austrailia, and created one of my favorite mangas called Hollow Fields. It won some award, but, she is a really good artist!

Oh! Great (Air Gear/Tenjou Tenge)
Amazing work with the female anatomy and dynamic flow with his style.

Quite unique and versatile, served/serves as inspiration with his great artwork.

Tite Kubo (Bleach)
Non buffy characters different style.

Plus, I like how he comes up with different outfits for his characters.

Range Murata (Blue Submarine No. 6 illustrations)
His coloring skills are amazing, he can make a simple image take life surprised

Yabuki Kentaro (To-Love-Ru/Black Cat)
Love to see his style and how he draws the female anatomy. biggrin

Diablo2003 (Marvel Artist)
DA member, amazing pecil and inking skills, one of my fav marvel artists.

Azuka111 (Freelancer)
Another DA member.
He was the main reason why I wanted to change styles two years ago.

Artgerm (Graphic Designer, Freelancer, CAPCOM/NAMCO illustrator)
He became the person that I want to be like in the artistic area.
More so, overcome his skills with my own, though it seems almost impossible at the moment, but someday I might....I wish lol

Takeshi Obata (Death Note, Hikaru no Go) hardcore, detailed artwork
Yoshitoshi ABe (Serial Experiments Lain) Mysterious, detailed, symbolic artwork
Kaori Yuki (Angel Sanctuary, GodChild) Gothic, dark, badass, detailed artwork

Illustration Artists:

Too many to list but some are:
Tatsuyuki Tanaka, Shigeki Maeshima, Jeong Juno, HACCAN, Kaoru Yukifuna, Shukei, Chen Shu-Fen & Pin-Fan

Wataru Yoshizumi-I loved her comedic work in Ultra Maniac. Especially her drawing for Leo.

CLAMP-I was able to enjoy Cardcaptor Sakura in their easy-going style. The art really brought out the fifth-grade feel.

Yee-jung No-Her gothic art kept me reading during the horror: Visitor. The story was the most creepy thing ever.

Mark Crilley-This guy taught me how to draw. Miki Falls' style made you see how work done by hand looks like in America.

Not sure what these artists names are, but: Death Note, Alichino, Shugo Chara!, and Fruit's Basket.
