{X}So, I'm getting back into the swing of things, new school, new deviantart (though that wasn't a choice) and I finally have a piece for the guild. So the main thing I need help on is anatomy, I rarely draw males, and this is my first time drawing a shirtless male. Second, I have NO IDEA what to do with his arms, so ANY ideas would be appreciated. He's not supposed to be happy about taking his shirt off for a picture. And third, any help on my Korean would be LOVED, I'm really shaky with the language, especially in reading and writing, but I wanted to practice. EDIT: Just to clarify: he's taking his shirt off for a photoshoot, so he can't look TOO upset. But ANYONE that knows Super Junior will know that HeeChul is REALLY narcissistic and doesn't like showing his chest because Siwon has "horse" muscles and he doesn't.

Hey there! Haven't seen you in a while. Anyway, I like your guy. I really like his face. rofl I'm sorry but I don't know Korean... anything actually. 'Cept for a couple songs, but I don't have any idea what they're saying. sweatdrop However, I can help with anatomy! blaugh
Okay. First, his torso's a little thin on the right. See, if you draw a line from the middle of his shoulders to each of their corresponding hips (left shoulder to left hip, right shoulder to right hip) then you'll find that his right (our LEFT) is perfect and works, but when you do it with his left (our RIGHT) his torso is curved in too much. I mean, you can keep his manly curves but still the angle makes him look like he's i dunno... jutting his torso out in a very strange way. rofl Also, his legs are too thin. they seem to be about the right length (though, once thickened, they could probably be just a smidge longer, perhaps make the feet a little bigger). Just a bit too thin. Other than that and the lack of nipples he seems to be a healthy young man. mrgreen
Oh! And for the arms, if he's unhappy about taking off his shirt, perhaps you could have him crossing his arms over his chest (that way you won't have to even draw the nipples!), and if he doesn't look irritated enough you may want to angle the eyebrows a little more downward (toward the nose) to get some anger-ish emotion on his face. But don't change the face until you've finished the pose, 'cause it really sucks when you mess something up because you thought you needed to change something that really wasn't necessary. Trust me; it's AWFUL. Anyway, I really like him. He's cool. 3nodding Have fun finishing him. I hope you post the completed version. ♠

Tarff Hey there! Haven't seen you in a while. Anyway, I like your guy. I really like his face. rofl I'm sorry but I don't know Korean... anything actually. Tarff Okay. First, his torso's a little thin on the right. Just a bit too thin. Other than that and the lack of nipples he seems to be a healthy young man. mrgreen Hmm, I don't really see what you're saying, can you do a redline for me? Tarff Oh! I hope you post the completed version. ♠ Well, I kinda cleared up the situation he's supposed to be in in my edit to the first post, and he can't seem too upset, which is why I'm stuck on his arms.

I know. I don't make much sense sometimes. Okay, one red-line coming up! :
Sorry, I do tend to go a little overboard on red-lines. sweatdrop
