-Description- This man's tent can be found at the very edge of the woods, bordering the desert, a distance from Kawani Village. Perpetually tousled and good-natured, Vance seems to live alone (with his Soquili, De Soto, for company). He heartily welcomes any wanderers who may come across his distant encampment. What exactly happened to him, and why he is staying here at the moment, is unknown. Vance is a self-proclaimed artisan and can often be seen painting landscapes, chopping wood to build things with, or sculpting with clay. But his favorite subject matter to paint or craft is Soquili and their owners. At times he will travel to Kawani Village and set up camp from afar, where he can admire and paint the majestic horses.

-Description-
An unusual hybrid of horse and snake, it is a mystery exactly how or when he came to the artisan Vance. But, being every inch as easygoing and good-humored as his master, the two work together quite well.
De Soto lives off the heat and lazy calm of the desert, and spends his days relaxing or keeping his master company. He often helps gather materials for his master's work. Since their teepee is quite isolated, De Soto hasn't had much experience with other horses; however, upon meeting another, he will always treat them with his usual laid-back friendliness.

As an adult, he is an eternal wanderer of the roads. He is tormented by a past he cannot remember, and bouts of uncontrollable madness that he cannot explain. He has been many places and experienced much, yet he still seeks for the thing that constantly escapes him: his true identity.

-Description-
A chance encounter between Oyoac and the lovely Schism resulted in two baskets. However, Oyoac had long left before even knowing he had sired foals.
Peyotl enters the world alone and disoriented, much like her father. As she grows and wanders, utterly lost in life, she discovers a desert plant that numbs her suffering, takes her away to fantastical places. Eventually, upon seeing this strange young mare who frequents the drug, the local natives dub her "Peyotl." They leave her food and occasionally care for her, if she will let them.
Peyotl is mentally and physically unstable, as a result of being abandoned, having no direction in life, and the use of her namesake plant. But even if she is disconnected from the world most of the time, deep down, the thing she hates and fears most is being alone.
