Hey HTDM Guild. I suppose a quick introduction is necessary. I am Yhtnaf, one of the original founders of this guild. I was forced to turn over ownership to June, and the rest of the mods; when I could no longer fulfill my commitment to Gaia, and to my guild members, after being permanently banned from this site. Thank you for all the moderators and members of this Guild I cant believe how much this place has grown while I was away for 4 years. I am now back, and it is time for me to get some help with drawing! Thats why I started this place anyways sweatdrop I am very glad to be home!
Here is a picture I just started work on. I quickly penciled this up, and shopped some rough lines so you can see it better.
How are my proportions? This has always been my biggest issue.
Also I did the photoshopping with my mouse which was quite a feat. Is a waccom tablet really worth the money, Is it accurate at all?
(Picture is in post 2)
EDIT: I am not a girl to let everybody know sweatdrop ... just getting that out there... yeah.

Shocking...Nice to meet you!
This is tough. It's just a sketch, but the proportions look good, so far, if it's just going to be a bust. The line for the neck on the left looks like it should curve more sharply where it meets the shoulder, so it can match the right part.
That's all that pops out to me. ...isn't it?

Well here is an update! I got my first tablet today! It is a Wacom intuos 3. 4x6 quite expensive, but let me tell you; well worth the money!!! It makes drawing in photoshop seem so easy compared to using a mouse lol. Anyways.. Here is a little more progress I have made on my wip.

Wow, I feel like a newbie again to this guild XD Nice to meet you! Thank you for starting up this great guild. We had a lot of past activities, especially this year.
Let's move on to business~ For the sake of things, I'll just give critique on the newest posted drawing.
Facial proportions: The proportions between the hairline and the eyes seem about right although some might argue it's a bit too low. A big concern is the location of the nose in relation to the eyes, it's much too high on the face. If the cross-line was about 1/2 of the face, I would put the base of the nose at 3/4 of the face.
Body proportions: I'm guessing that this isn't supposed to be a 6-7 heads tall character, because if the desired proportions were 4-5 it would work just fine. The overall torso would be much longer if this was in 6-7 heads mode, but once again, for 4-5 heads tall you're on track.
Overall, it's a good starting sketch. I hope to see the completed version soon. 3nodding
