I need art ideas for my "Math in Art" sketchbook.
I don't know if any of you have ever taken such a course, but basically what we learn in class we have to apply to our sketchbooks. (very loosely so)
For example, I did a portrait of a random girl with an acute triangle over one eye (haha). So yeah, it doesn't have to be completely obvious of 'where the math is'.

So I need creative suggestions or ideas on how to incorporate any of these into my sketchbook:

Any of the euclidean constructions, including obtuse or acute triangles.
Fractals.
Perspective ( already did a room )
Any kind of geometric shapes such as hexagon or pentagon.

It's really boring just to draw shapes all the time. Fffff.

the triforce of course for traingles/angles, all kinds of other angles and perspective, you could use fractals in the glow or whatever, the room is a hexagon, he's pulling the sword from a trapezoid, and it's the best video game of all time. no dispute.

Still life study of fractals in nature?

Tessellating shapes but you could make it different by distorting it or something.

Lots of architectural structures contain striking shapes (e.g. Eden Project with its hexagonal dome). Are you allowed to do photography? I'm sure there are places near you which have examples of structural shapes.

Also it could be quite humorous to do half or 3/4 of a regular painting of your choice, and then make the rest of it a paint by numbers. So it looks like an incomplete paint by numbers painting basically of your own creation.

When I doodle it's always shapes. c:

Fractals are really hard to do by hand, to make really neat ones at least.

I just usually make symmetric abstract things incorporating as many shapes as I can. I can't really help you beyond that.

I did something similar to that, but much more simpler in my high school geometry class.

We had to draw something on a piece of graph paper, then find the slope of like 5 lines in the pictures.

I drew one of my best pieces to date for that class, and gave it to the teacher when she said she'd like to keep it.
Now I wish I had least taken a photograph of it. D:
