In the far past: Once a respected adult in her village, Malis left after a childhood friend, Voodoo, came on to her a little strongly. After he ended up receiving the position she had been vieing for she decide to seek her own fortune elsewhere. She came to the Kawani lands to learn about the soquili there and ended up staying put. Immi was a bright mare who had a desire to create a home where anyone could come for sanctuary. Malis and Immi created the Willowglen Herd and they live in a clearing in the woods surrounded by willows. However, as time went on, Malis' more negative traits started showing through with her nonacceptance of the newer additions to the family, namely Zandali. She hated Tai's choice in mates because of her fear of water.

After Zandali was born with no troll-worthy traits she kicked them both out of the family. Zandali, over hearing mother and daughter argue, ran away from home 'cause she thought she wasn't wanted. As a result Malis had become greatly introverted and grouchy, even to the point at snapping at the rest of the herd. Where once, the others used to come to her for advice, they started to shy away in fear of her unpredictable reactions. After a long discussion, Immi and Malis split ways, most of the herd staying with Immi while Malis moved on to create the Vitterfolk herd comprised mostly of her family. Before starting the herd, however, she tracked down Kifo once more and went on a spirit journey with him. The result was a very heavy troll which prompted her return. She birthed three beautiful children, who she was very proud of. She doted a lot on her elder son Sen'jin and her youngest son Rokhan made her fiercely proud when the birth of their trollish kids extending the family line. All the positive energies around the herd as it grew helped mellow her out a bit but she was still stubborn about her decision. Tai left to find Zandali but returned later with no success. Malis and her daughter came to an uneasy truce but the younger mare still blamed the shaman for her daughter's disappearance.

Over time Malis came to learn the error in her ways and listened to the spirits. Immi left to help look for Zandali and Malis found herself in a hoof-full when Dayunsi, a flutter stallion who helped Imogen run the WillowGlen hers and who provided much of the healing herbs they both used, came home with news that he had children. He was worried Immi would reject him now, even though the flowery mare had a son of her own from a previous relationship. Malis talked some sense into him, proving him wrong when Immi returned to WillowGlen and through doing so, realized a few things of her own as Nidawi was brought into the sister herds and taught how to cultivate the herbs by his father. It was then Malis established the different lessons any foal should learn within the two herds, spending time with each side before choosing one to stay within. The Vitterfolk became the Protectors of the territory while the WillowGlen Herd was the nurturing inner group.

Zandali returned with children in tow. Along with the new children of Ysiel and Sen'jin by now the herds had grown quite a bit. Kepi and Tuuli started training in the arts of shamanism but Tuuli's father had left his own imprint on the daughter of Zandali and her aggression had become a bit of an issue. Kepi had troubles of her own also, not having much luck in connecting with the spirits. Upon her adulthood ceremony, she decided to go on her own spirit quest while Malis looked for a foster herd for Tuuli until she could learn to control her aggressive and spiteful nature. Things changed, however, when there was word of a skinwalker in the neighborhood. The guardian's of the Vitterfolk increased their patrols and found a small flutter who was almost at death's door. Malis used every trick she knew to heal Amirynth back to full health but the battered mare seemed broken of spirit along with her injuries. Immi suggested looking after her in a secluded vale which the troll matriarch agreed to. There Rynn was carefully watched but left alone to heal in safety. Tuuli returned from the Islagiatt Herd, her temper much more even, at least around others. She made fast friends with Rynn and even offered to help teach her how to be strong in exchange for learning about her magics.

When searching in the area on patrol, Sen'jin finds the unusual sight of a soquili wearing a pelt but holding a civil conversation with a mare. She introduces them as a couple and seems to look upon him fondly. The stallion was incredibly civil to the large troll and, though he was suspicious, he decided to leave them be. Sen, did find it prudent to relay it onto his mother but Malis was busy with other pressing issues and at first dismissed the sighting. It wasn't until later that she confronted Solemn herself, slightly dismayed to find he had sired children and was taking care of them with the same mare. Solemn professed his loyalty to the Vitterfolk and promised he had forsaken any savage tendencies. Malis knew the reports of attacks had been made from spotted, clawed walkers, not a cursed one and questioned him about their habits to garnish information, leaving his family in peace but asking for a close watch to be posted. After a injured mare came in with haunted eyes telling about a stallion who had taken her friend, the Troll matriarch realized she was slipping and stormed off to confront Solemn, banishing him from the Vitterfolk and WillowGlen territories completely. He did not take well to that and attacked, fighting with both hoof, tooth and claw. Malis' large size and skills at fighting let her stand her ground, but it was her children who helped push him back. Malis took Equinox and Sol's children into the Vitterfolk herd for protection and to keep a close watch on the foals as she had heard the curse didn't pass through but wasn't sure.

With the threat of skinwalker attacks being even more prevalent, the sister herds increased their protection of the territories, trying to keep up with the attacks, not knowing that some of them were not even skinwalker related. A spark of light during these times was the baskets of Immi and Day. The leaders of the WillowGlen herd had been trying for children for a long time and had all but given up hope. Finally they were blessed, not only with a son but also a daughter. Malis announced the spirits had blessed her and Immi decided Kai'kaede would be the one to lead the WillowGlen herd after she stepped down. Mairéad was quite happy with this news, preferring the lighter duties of raising foals with her best friend Lyrica.

Current events: Solemn has been thwarted for the time being however his promise to return will soon come to a reality. He has stolen some corpse dust somehow and cursed I'mani, a troll from a different tribe close to Malis' old village. After setting her loose onto the Vitterfolk he took a few steps back to fade into the shadows and lick his wounds. Tuuli, who is the unfortunate one to be attacked by I'mani first, decides to save her own skin by promising the tender flesh of newborn foals. Still maddened by hunger, I'mani pauses in her attack long enough for Tuuli to dash out of her grasp and bolt for the inner glades. There she finds the baskets and leaves them out for the batwalker to feast.

Future: With the betrayal by someone close to the Troll's everyone is going to be on edge. Then there is word of killing happening with more frequency caused by a clawed skinwalker which can only mean a true walker has entered into the territory. This coupled with news of I'mani back on the prowl sounds the alarm once again. There will be more attacks and Malis will be called upon to tend the injured as the WillowGlen healers are over-ran. During this Rynn gets captured and is saved by Zev who once saved her before. However the trouble he brings with cause more tension in the herd and it will only be time before full-blown war is cried out.

Personality: Amirynth is soft spoken and shy. She prefers staying in the background and listening to others than being in the center of attention, a complete contrast to her former self. She is nervous about her body, not wanting to show the scars from the skinwalker attack that left her so ragged and skittish. For this reason she usually keeps to the shadows of the glade. (And this is why no one but the WillowGlen herd has met her yet)

Personality: Zev is a lively, snarky, in your face character. A ragamuffin who had a 'devil-may-care' attitude who was a rogue and a gentleman (though if you called him a sweetheart to his face he'd deny ever mention of it) He has attitude in spadefuls and little respect for the stodgy and people who are bogged down in unnecessary traditions. He loves to shake other people's worlds and pull their legs. A joker exterior hides a much sweeter center of a foal who was left to take care of himself at an early age. This stallion grew up through pushing the envelope and trying new things. He loves to flirt but is also the type who was the 'bad boy' your mother always warned you about. As much as he enjoys making a pretty face smile, he will not be the type to hang around once she tries to claim him. This whirlwind of energy cannot be halted once he has decided to move onto the next target of his amusement.

Past: Rynn's mother Crystal, was a uniangeni and her father was a rogue flutter. While her twin brother, Alaistair, didn't show any traces of his father's blood other than possible colourations (he is angeni only) Rynn did in her wings and size. She has two older sisters who's father is Crys' proper mate (Garreth, a unicorn) They both have uni/angeni traits like their mother.

Zevron was born in a herd of Zhevra just like himself. He was betrothed to another, Swift, and while she was excited about the prospect, he was not. He treated her with the courtesy and kindness she deserved as she was a sweet young mare but his heart belonged to the open road. On the night he decided to leave for good they shared an intimate goodbye. What he did not realize that such a goodbye would end up following his path to the Kawani lands. Swift was heavy with child soon after and gave birth to two beautiful zhevra who would never know their father. She always believed he would return but with the news of skinwalker attacks becoming more frequent this has become a fragile thought.

Present: Rynn is slowly patching things together from her terrible mistake of trusting Warlock. Santiel has been taken by him as collateral leaving Irlina to help out as much as she can. As time goes by, Irlina tires of her mother's weakness and storms off, declaring she will find her own fortune and a way to break Santiel and her family from Warlock's grasp. It is then she runs into Zevron and leads him back home in hopes he would aid them in their troubles.

Zev is just reaching the Kawani lands at this time. I am hoping he will find other mares to save and people for him to meet before he ends up crossing Rynn's path once more. To him, she starts out as just another mare to be saved but as time goes on he comes to realize there is something more there. If there was another mare out there who would be willing to play distraction that would be awesome.

Future: I want Rynn to find reasons to come out into the open and forge bonds with others. Things are still pretty open to ideas so I'm really interested in story-plots that can help her learn that she can take a stand and all that fun stuff. She starts to become less shy and actually wanders out of the glade more often as the connection between the few she has met strengthens.
At some point Zev will find her once more and will manage to bargain with Warlock for Santiel's freedom. When asked by Rynn why he would do such a thing his only reply, "I could never see such a beautiful face look so sad."

In the future, Kaycie and Quicken will travel to the Kawani lands to follow in Zevron's footsteps. At that point they will find out about Rynn and realize he will not be returning with them. Kaycie will not be happy with this decision but Quicken sees a little of herself in Rynn and they forge a friendship. This will happen after the war plots in the main storyline.

Zev's RPs in the works: Rynn's rescue - Zev tries to steal Zukii's demon skull to trade for Santiel's life from Warlock and is accosted by Resynn. Zukii intervene before her hubby smacks the kirin around and finds out the truth. Zukii only needs to hear Rynn's name, even her description, to go, "Wait...I think that's... Take it, go save her." Then once he gets Rynn back they can have their reunion and Zukii can go "OMG YER OKAY HE DIDN'T SCREW IT ALL UP!"

Name: Nekali
Gender: Female
Likes: Protecting the Flock, challenges, (secretly: children)
Dislikes: Weakness, disloyalty
Personality: Nekali is a little rough around the edges but honest and has a kind soul. She can be rather blunt but is fiercely loyal to those she cares about, especially her sisters of the Flock. While she adores children and wanted to be a nanny when she was growing up, she found herself better suited to the hunting and became one of the protectors of the Flock. Nekali has a talent for singing but will never admit to it, preferring to listen to the others during the festivities. She can be quiet around others but is always willing to lend a helping claw to those needed. After her 'cursing' her loyalties will be twisted and her aggressions brought forward. She will delight in causing pain and anguish, much like her cursed sister.

Likes: Maiming, aggression, purity of blood
Dislikes: Weakness, loyalty
Personality: Already more on the rough side, I'mani abandoned the teachings of the spirits at an early age. After finding out she had a sister she traveled to the Kawani lands to look for her, determined to be the only one to pass down her mpthers's bloodline. Since her cursing, the skinwalker wants nothing more than to destroy anything that reminds her of her past life. Her focus is to destroy the tribes and then the rest of the kawani lands. She turned on Solemn for being too weak to do this himself and has a deep seated hatred for her sister who was born with claws that could damage so well. She takes great pleasure in twisting her victims, turning them into their darkest self before killing them.

Past: I'mani's father went missing when she was young, leaving her mother and herself alone. Her parents had been ostracized from the village because while her father belonged, her mother was from a rival village. With him gone, the village had no reason to keep her mother and so they were both kicked out of the territory. When her father finally showed back up again, her mother was already dead and no one ever knew the cause. Her father doted upon her but in I'mani's eyes it was purely because of guilt. She always quested for more power, more strength, if only to teach the village she came from a lesson they would never forget. She had abandoned the teachings of the spirits at an early age and upon her adult years it was obvious she had little regard for the world of the living either. After finding out her father had another daughter she turned upon him, killing him on the spot. In her anger she vowed to kill anyone who was related to him or his cheating blood. With the little information she had on her half-sister's whereabouts I'mani turned north to find one who plagued her soul.

Nekali's mother captured a wandering larger stallion from a troll village but was not able to hold him when the flock was evacuating from their mountainous home. Nekali gained her father's tusks, and dreads. Her childhood was much like the rest of the flock's mares until the fateful day she was out on a hunting trip and was enticed by Solemn who decides to use her in his attacking of the Vitterfolk. He is the one who curses her and twists her into the monster she will become. At this point it will be up to the RPs on whether the Flock decide to hunt her down or not, but Malis will have definitely made contact by then (due to another storyline involving Sen'jin *grins*) and will either come to them with questions (why the harpies are attacking the Vitterfolk) or to inform them that one of their own has been cursed. At least, this is what the story line will seem to be, in actuality I'mani, her sister, is the skinwalker who captures and twists her. Nekali might have a chance to break free later on, it depends on the RP.

Present: Solemn found I'mani when she was searching for her 'lost' sister. She reminded him of Malis so as a wicked trick he used the little corpse powder he 'stole' to curse her into one of himself. Solemn promised her strength and power in exchange for one thing: To enter into the Vitterfolk territories and kill Malis. I'mani agreed, enticed by the promise of power. It turned out better than Solemn imagined though he ended up having to fight her off a few times. After turning her towards the direction of the Vitterfolk's lands he stayed back to see what happened. I'mani ended up within the Flock territory instead, drawn to her sister and attacked her, capturing the harpy sibling and tortured her, warping her mind.

Future: Both sisters will be attacking the Vitterfolk from the Flock sides of the herd territories while Solemn and his brood if any stay with him will be attacking from the south. Solemn much prefers to attack from stealth and subterfuge so he will probably let the sisters be most of the 'cannon fodder'.
