Part One: First Steps
For the first part of her journey, Ocala will be scared stiff of the outside world. She's not accustomed to travel, nor living outside of her home, so she'll be fairly skittish. Aside from the roles listed, RPs in this time frame would mainly be Ocala freaking out about nighttime sounds/disturbances, or something of the like. She is extremely sheltered, so she will literally be afraid of everything when she first starts out.
Plot Roles: "Fellow Adventurer": Someone to epitomize what exactly an Adventurer is. Preferably a show-off who will brag about their escapades and make poor Ocala feel like she won't succeed. "Wise Counselor": Basically just someone to give her some advice, help her figure out the ropes. "Broken Returnee": Someone who has failed in their quest, and is returning home early. This will fuel Ocala's fears of failure and inadequacy.

Part Two: Not everything is sunshine and roses, you know...
Here's where things get harsh. Ocala's my baby girl, but she needs to realize that life can be cruel. About a month into her journey, Ocala makes her first wrong turn and lands herself into Kalona country. Now, deep within the trenches, she must either try to pass as one of them (not likely), or try to navigate her way out while staying in one piece.
Plot Roles: "Vicious by Design": You guessed it. Kalona OR Skinwalker encounter. Manipulate her, try to eat her, whatever, but by all means do NOT maim her or kill her. Let her know she's in your territory in the rudest, most evil way possible. "Hiding is Useless": Shaken by her confrontation (see above), Ocala will attempt to hide herself away in the lands. She's always been so good at being invisible, you know. But it won't work here! Another Kalona OR Skinwalker encounter, this time with an enraged Soquili who won't allow her to stay. Someone to make it their mission to drive her out of their lands forever, who will n** at her heels the entire way to be sure she gets the message."Saving Grace": Someone to pick up the pieces of the battered mare after she flees from hostile territory. Someone to help her find the strength to go on with words of comfort. She will most likely be injured and in need of healing, so a Unicorn/Unicorn hybrid is preferred for this role.

Part Three: The Final Horizon
Not sure whether or not she even wants to finish her adventure, Ocala stumbles into a dense forest. There, she will meet a reformed Kalona hybrid (My stallion, Paradox), who will harbor her for a time until she is fully recovered from her injuries. Paradox has a long, dark history, and though he means her no harm, his predatory ways frighten Ocala, and she will end up running away.
Still lost and disoriented, she's got a ways to go yet before she finds her way back home.
Plot Roles: "The Teacher": Someone with a good sense of direction, who can teach her about using the position of the sun/stars to find her way around. They will take an interest in her, see the specks of potential within her. Under their tutelage, she will learn how to negotiate the terrain. "The Guide": Someone who realizes that what Ocala really needs, even more than finding her home again, is some confidence. Someone who can show Ocala that she is a wonderful mare who deserves to be seen and delighted in by others. This is more of a heart-guide, rather than someone to take her home. Think of this as a journey of the heart. "The Long-lost Relative": This spot can be played by any of Ocala's family members. Basically, I'm wanting someone she either hasn't ever met, or someone she hasn't seen in a while, to be able to escort her home. (If this spot isn't filled, I'll fill it with my Lyssa or Dhanuraja)

Overall, while she won't follow her mother's footsteps, Ocala will have become a stronger mare for her journey. This is more of a journey of self for her than anything else. And who knows? Maybe she'll attempt her mother's trek later. That future is yet to be decided, though I doubt Ocala will have any desire to travel for a while.
Some notes about the plot:
There are no breeding plots in her journey. I want her to finish the plot as planned...and foals would put a bit of a kink in things.
If you have a character that would fit the role, but doesn't meet the breed I've specified for, post them anyway. I'm not a stickler for breeds, just character types. The plot's specifics can be adjusted to fit.
If you want to suggest an alternative role for any part of her journey, feel free. I'm up for incorporating your ideas into the plot.
I -do- want to eventually make her an elder. But she's got a long way to go before then.
