Long story short; We've been best friends for four years, recently started dating. It's a long distance relationship, we actually met on gaia, and he's planning on being here the weekend of his birthday.
I'm pretty short on money at the moment, so I cant really buy him anything that fabulous. I'm trying to think of something cute and thoughtful I could do for him just to show him I care. Thing is I don't know what I should do for him. Help me please?

Maybe you could make him something. A card maybe? Or maybe take lots of pictures when you see him and you both can make a photo album together. Then you can give it to him to take home with him.

Ooh! I like DJ Ria's idea. You can't go wrong with a cake! Or maybe you could even make dinner for him. :]

He'll probably enjoy just about anything you give him. Love isn't all about gifts =) sorry, I'm not much of a help.

Bake him something! I made my boyfriend a cheesecake while I was visiting him last week and he couldn't have been more impressed. Another thing that's a lot of fun but a little more work is a scrapbook of fun times you've had together. That could be complicated if you're in an LDR though, if you haven't spent much time actually together.

I agree with the people that you should make him dinner and a dessert. I'm sure his birthday will be great because he gets to spend it with you.

mmmmhmmm agreed, make him sweets and a nice dinner would be lovely. c:
Oh, & if you're planning to make him a crafted card as well, add an origami heart with it; it'll be cute. ♥

If it was me ... I'd ask him what's his favorite thing to do xD
And just go to that with him.. or go do something you both would enjoy..
Maybe even do something he's been asking to do with you for a while.. <.<

It seems like visiting with you is a good enough birthday gift for him, so don't worry too much about a present. Spend tons of time with him while he's there, make him a homemade meal, maybe write him a little poem in a card or something. He'll love whatever you do, keep that in mind smile

You guys should have a picnic together at a park or at a beach, then take a romantic walk together after. That's what I did for my boyfriend's 26th birthday. That way you're only spending money on food and on transportation.
