I think it's a Da Vinci piece that was redrawn, unsure. But yeah. I like the dark outline and shading, other than that it looks more cartoony than realistic, WHICH IS OF NO SURPRISE. XD;

The Chest and Torso are a bit rough, but other than that, it looks great. I had to dabble with Charcoal in my art class in Highschool, and it was by no means an easy medium to use (To me anyway. I still don't understand how you people do so well. My pictures have, like, 10,000 erased lines before-hand.)

It was incredibly difficult. XD; I had never used charcoal before, but when used correctly it can give such a great impression.

yes, charcoal can be a b***h. it's probably my least favorite medium. The trick is to work gesturely at first and then proceed with caution when it comes to the shading. At least, that's how I do it.
