Love/Hate = Endless Flirting?

Well. I've had some issues with a boy named John-Robert.
He told James that I wanted to ******** him. I was horrified when I found out. I didn't even know who he was.
We've seen eachother a couple times, I'm still angry, and he's got no clue why I can't stand him.
The first time we talked to eachother, he was hanging out with some friends of mine.
He was saying he was too hot, when everyone else was freezing.
I remember saying 'You may be hot, but you really aren't', or something to that effect.
That got him not liking me.
The second time, I was talking to his sister.
Him - What's your problem?
Me - You are.
Him - Why are you such a b***h to me?
Me - Because you'e a bigger b***h.
Him - How am I a b***h?
Me - You just are!
Him - Okay. b***h.
Me - I heard that, a*****e.
Him - Oh really?
Me - Yeah, really.
Their mother pulls up in a van, I apologize to his sister, give her a hug. He stands there, watching.
Me - What do you want a hug, too, a*****e?
Him - What?
Me - I asked if you wanted a hug.
He opens his arms and we hug eachother.
He whispers in my ear 'You'd hug an a*****e?'
I don't know what to say to that, so I start walking away.
After a few paces, I look back, he's still standing there, and I yell 'Depends on who it is.'. So he smiles, nods and goes to get in the car.

Today, we ran into eachother again.
I mostly talked to his sister, Katherine. I sometimes send him dirty looks.
Close o the end of lunch though, his friend is giving him an old tape. He looks at me.
Him - Don't look at the tape.
Katherine - CardCaptors?
I laugh.
Me - You like CardCaptors?
He's covering his face with his hand, and he nods.
Katherine - Why are you borrowing CardCaptors?
His friend - Actually, I'm giving it to him.
Me - Let me see?
He hads me the tape.
Him - Do you want to borrow it?
Me - Sure.
Him - You laugh at me and then borrow it?
Me - Sometimes.
Him - I want that back, sometime though, okay?
Me - Don't worry.

Later in the day, just before buses, I actually run/crash into him.
Me - You!
Him - Me!
Me - You!
Him - You!
And then Tyler starts dragging him to his locker. xD

I have no idea what this guy's problem is.
I also have no idea why I keep flirting with him.
I hate his guts, and I just keep flirting!
Why?

He's a douchebag.
And he looks funny.
There's no reason for me to like him.
And I can usually find something to like about anyone.

But he makes me mad. And then he makes me laugh and he's always saying something funny, or smiling, and he makes me flirt with him.
And that just makes me angry because he's stupid and I don't want to be near him.

Rawr!It's all his fault.


Bah! Okay. Maybe a tiny, little, miniscule bit.
But that doesn't explain why I keep flirting!
There are guys who I like a million times more than him, and I nevr flirt with them.

I think you do it cause it's like a game. (No disrespect, hear me out.) You don't want to date him, but it's fun to flirt. I know. (: Plus, he flirts back which makes it all the more fun, right?

I don't want to be anywhere near him, and then he's near me and then he makes me want to be really close to him.

I thought it was just me flirting. Is he really flirting back?

Maybe you just found so many reasons to not like him, you decided there is no possible way you're going to let yourself like him; BUT when you're around him, it's harder to remember those reasons. Yeah, yeah? Am I catching on?

It's the same with other guys, but I don't have a problem with them. Just this guy.

Hmm well when he says flirty things you can give him a blank aggravated stare which shows you're not interested. Or give him one word answers instead of what you would normally say.

But then again he might think you're pissed off at him, so I don't really know.

It happened to me lol.
This guy I hated so much because he'd tease me so much then we started doing the same thing you and that guy are doing,next thing we knew we were together, xD we still are btw,for a year now still going strong =3
