-they're awesome ^_^-!
the whole serie is actually quite awesome, and i love it O3o!!
it minds much of Dgray at many places, through many aspects and they have a sort of similiar storyline... similiar encounters and so on, but i suppose most shonen manga does that =3='
the humor is excellent! the gore is good where it shows up, and mr. chibi never cease to amaze with his splendour in creativity and weird chilishness ^_^!
i've read the manga to book no. 23, and i've seen the whole first anime, as well as the movie O3o
the anime is quite good, but it leaves some tings unsaid, and others just lapse out of the manga's dimmensions. it's really depressing by the end, ghee i nearly cried _:'D!
i just kept spanning all over myself "no... it's so unfair!!" -which i've done throughout the most of the manga too actually, but still O3o
one of the arcs in the anime they don't have in the manga, is from one of the fullmetal alchemist novels actually, so you'll miss it (plus fillers and non-existing in the manga -characters popping up) unless you watch the anime :3!
the anime plot kinda leaves the manga one after about half the series, but you should still watch the original one before going to Brotherhood.
brotherhood picks up the arcs of the first anime too, which are also in the manga. but they speed it up very much too, so you won't get as emotional over them as you would the original anime O3o....

finished the anime a couple of years back never really got into brotherhood. finished the manga and then was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a epilogue chapter and raced to read it ^_^. I heart heart heart FMA because it's storyline is so interesting. Favorite character is a toss up of greed ed and al cause they are all 3 amazing.

I ADORE Fullmetal Alchemist. It was one of my first animes after I learnt what anime was. Finished the anime and my sister owns the movie (which I love, wrapped things up nicely if you ask me).
Barely started Brotherhood. Wish Aaron hadn't grown too old to do Al, I don't like a woman doing him. And she doesn't even SOUND like a guy! (which most voice actresses doing a boy manage to do. (example: Veronica Taylor)
Ed's my favorite. Him and Hughes.

My friend wanted me to start reading FMA so I'm reading the manga. I watch the anime when I'm at my dad's house *which is rare* and it has to be late at night...when I'm bored...
