Wooooo Mariner's!
Just hit up a Seattle home game!
Okay, Kansas City got lucky. NO BIGGY.
I'm falling back in love with baseball.
Mainly my home team, but the sport nonetheless.
(Turns out, a lot of the Mariner's are HOTT.)
My friend Anna and I have played Softball together for around 5 years.
So yes, we were getting more obnoxious as the game went on.
(The game I went to on my 16th birthday
will go down in history as their greatest game of all time.
And yes, I got on the big screen for some dope 80's moves!)
MY POINT?
Tomorrow the Yankees are coming to Safeco Field.
WOOOOOOOO, CHILD. SOMETHIN'S GONNA GO DOWN.
You see- Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) ain't nothin but a baseball hooker.
First he left Seattle- the team who gave him his big break-
for Texas, all because of a hefty sum of money.
Then he left Texas for New York.
So every time he hits the field in Seattle-
there are boo's all around and I get a warm n' fuzzy feeling.
heart
Sure, everyone needs a job, and he has skill.
But he survived just great with his first contract.
After... Oh, I don't know, $17,572,049 a year...
You just learn to be happy and enjoy what you have.
Doing it for money is taking away the diginity of the game.
The ALL-AMERICAN sport.
Do I sound bitter?
I am actually not bitter.
If a player left Boston for Seattle because of a bigger check- I'd disapprove.
(Anna and I were discussing how frusturating it was to watch them
lightly jog the bases when they get a ridiculous amount of money.
Her and I probably do heavier conditioning than them.)
Ichiro Suzuki? Seattle's pride n' joy!
He's been offered HELLA BANK to switch teams.
But he sticks with the ones who have loved him from the getgo.
Griffey? A highly respectable player as well.
Although he's retired... again...
(Then again, a comeback season shouldn't be spent on the bench.)
My point IS-
I'm excited for the game tomorrow.
Err.... I mean today... It's 1am.
Anna and I plan to make a sign that reads-
HEY A-ROD...
ROLL OVER
With $1 bills all over it.
Because. He's a wee little b***h.
biggrin
(It's also free Griffey cap night!)
But it's going to be very intense.
New York is to Seattle as it is to Boston.
Mortal. Enemies.
I am pretty obnoxious.
But I'm learning not to care what people think.
I will have pictures.
To share with my Suitees.
(Tehe! I'm gonna call ya'll Suitees now! Kay? It's cute.)
