SO. This is an old fanart of Sting from Blazing Barrels which if you haven't read, you really should because it rocks like geodude. Anyway, critiques are much appreciated. I already know that his cheek is weird but that is fixed on the actual picture, but my scanner broke before I could load it again.

I actually find this piece to be quite nice. Of course there are some flaws but that goes without saying for everyone's art. Things I believe you need to work on, would most likely be...
The hair, it looks like he put way to much hair gel in it. Try lightly sketching it, adding a bit more thickness to it. And where the hair meets the scalp, you need to add a line or zig zag, or something to signify thats where the forehead ends. Or else it simply seems as though the skin is morphing into the hair.
Shading, it'd be good if you had tried shading in the clothes, or hair. It gives more feeling of depth and allows the audience to differentiate between the body and the garments of the person your drawing. That and it'll also help with your coloring skills if you use colored pencils.
Hmm... I believe thats all the critique I can really give. But I should let you know as well as everyone else that the advice/suggestions I give are totally from my own insight and nothing else. As a human I'm entitled to be wrong or stupid. But I tried my best in helping.
Your art looks good, as artists we all have a long way to go and your well on your way. heart
