Related: I was just trying out the new secret Friday update and Notch still hasn't fixed the (inexplicable) bug where if you right click a useable object (in this case, a furnace), you'll also use the object in your hand. I did this with a bucket of lava when accessing the furnace. I scooped the lava back up in time, but I still died of fire.

Naturally, which I came back, all the items in my inventory (a decent amount of tools, ALL my iron, and pretty much all my arrows) were just gone for no good reason.
