So, I've notice in several animes, a certain theme keeps popping up between the love intrest. That is the Pink Girl and the Blue Boy theme, or just Pink and Blue because love intrest vary.
Note: this assumtion is based on what goes on in anime and manga; not fanfiction. If you don't like the pairings, write your own.
Also, some American shows have the pink and blue theme, so you will see them, too.

History Lesson!
Some time back in the 1400's or so, Celtics believed that evil spirits would try to possess new born babies. To prevent them from doing so, mothers would dress their children in either pink or blue clothing (depending on the gender) to ward off the evil spirits.
In the late 1900's, a woman named Amy gave birth to twins; one a boy, the other a girl. To keep people from getting them confused, she'd tie a pink ribbon around her daughter's ankle and a blue ribbon around her son's ankle.
