Okay, first things first...this is not a joke or fanfic idea. I honestly read this in GameInformer this month.
Apparently it will be a combination of competition and teamwork between the puzzle-loving archeologist and the Objection!-shouting lawyer. And it's set in the middle ages.
There really wasn't much else in the article, but what do you think? Good, bad, interesting...?
Personally, I'm just curious as to how it will work out. Maybe Layton finds clues while Phoenix does some arguing...and maybe the "vs." thing means there will be the option to compete against a friend.

"Wait, what?" was my first reaction to this. Then I realized you weren't kidding when you mentioned GameInformer. I love Phoenix Wright, and I haven't had the chance to play any of the Professor Layton games. But this should prove very interesting.

I hear such good things about both so I should probably get around to playing them sometime soon.
I, personally, am a big fan of most crossovers so if I see it where I live then chances are that I will buy it. c:

Definitely a must-have for me. Too bad it is for 3ds since I'm not getting one til next gen. I love Layton and all the quirky characters; I can also appreciate Phoenix Wright's courtroom drama... but how it will come together gameplay wise... We'll see. The trailer looks epic though.

I am very excited for this game as well X3! I have been playing Pheonix Wright and I have watched my friend play Professor Layton, but I still have to get that game >.

I honestly can't wait for when it gets available here. I love both, especially Professor Layton. When I heard about it, I was thrilled, two favourites in one game! ^^
