Mail.
Her older sister and both parents get mail, but she never ever gets anything. Upon hearing this situation, my coworker learned first hand what it's like to work with a GM. Here was my idea:
Via facebook, email, and other online mediums, we're going to try to get as many people involved as possible. The idea is, for as many people to send her a birthday card or letter as possible. They have a PO Box, so private security is ensured. Anywho, that's where you guys come in.
Anyone here who wishes to send her a card or letter will be rewarded by me. This includes one of the following gifts:
- 5000 gp from me;
3 XP in my L5R game;
20% of a level up in any of my D&D games*; or
A level 3 magic item of your choice!
*Dungeon Crawl Extravaganza may not get the XP reward.
As an extra incentive, if anyone includes $1 with their card/letter, they will receive double the reward.
How will I gauge this? Two ways. Either you take a picture of the signed and stamped envelope with the girl's address on it (yours needn't be included in the picture) and show me, or give me a name (via PM) to match with the letter, and I'll have my coworker double check to make sure those people sent letters in. If you included the $1, then I will need your name to make sure it got put inside.
Offer becomes invalid come 12/25, which will be the cut-off point of any cards/letters reasonably making it on time.
The person in question's address is as follows:

Thank you anyone who participates! And have a good holiday season smile
EDIT: Upped the reward for the D&D players!
