Introduction:
Hello!
After a long awaited promise, the band list is finally here. c:
Basically, this is a compiled list of artists from all different types of genre. So if you're looking for new music, you have somewhere to come and look.
Now, i may not have covered what you feel are all the bases, but upon discussion with other members of the Guild, it was agreed these are the main ones.
Disclaimer: You may feel differently about which genre a band belongs in, however, please do not send myself or anyone else PM's about this unless it is painstakingly obvious - for example Britney Spears is in the Rock/Metal section, when i think everyone knows she should be in the Pop section.
How to add a band or artist:
So, have a list of bands/artists you want to add? Well, i would say simple, but this is me talking...
Basically. Please don't post individual artists and bands (for now, until we build up the list at least), try to have a reasonable list (and by this, i mean at least 15 artists or so), and try to organise it nicely for me so there's less work for me to do? c:

So. How do you add them you ask? Make a post in this thread. And follow a similar layout to the following:
[This is an example! Please change each part accordingly.]
Genre: Rock/Metal
Artists:
A: Aerosmith; A Perfect Circle
B: The Birthday Massacre; The Black Maria, Black Stone Cherry
C: Celldweller [Industrial]; Cradle of Filth [Heavy Metal]
etcetc
Please ensure any artists you are putting down is not already on the list.
Right. Now for the more complicated part. Here is a simple (haaaa) guide to how artists are assigned to letter categories:
☆ - - If an artist goes by their name/a general first name or last name, they will be classed according to their first name, as personally, i find that easier. For example, Britney Spears will be classed under "B".
☆ - - The post that has "#" as the classed "letter", basically means any bands/artists that start with numbers in their name, or any symbols at the start of the name.
☆ - - Any band that has the band name starting with "The" will be classed according to the next word in the band name. e.g. The Birthday Massacre will be classed under the letter "B" due to the word "Birthday".
☆ - - You will notice i have put little notes next to some artist/band names, e.g. Cradle of Filth is quite obviously heavy metal, hence "[Heavy Metal]" next to their name. Basically, if any artist/band deviates from the category in an obvious way, but would still generally come under it, make your own notes to explain. As long as it's not a paragraph long...It's more like sub-genres etc. :3
